'We were upgraded to an ocean view room, which was great! However, instead of a sofa sleeper, we had a "chair" sleeper, which was very uncomfortable for my grandson. It was very rough and needed some type of mattress cover/pad, not just a sheet. Also, it would be nice if there was another less expensive breakfast option other than Starbucks. The dining options are quite expensive for children, who don't eat enough to warrant those prices. Is there some type of schedule that lists the events,...

'Well maintained and friendly staff. Amazing view from our room. Quiet location considering the amount of guest. Only one problem we had was half the parking near handicap was closed due to painting which made parking for mobility impaired guest challenging. Otherwise what a great resort. Will definitely choose again our next Maui visit. '

The room is very spacious, offering ample privacy for your stay. Additionally, the hotel staff are incredibly kind and accommodating. 'Royal Kahana is showing it's age despite the construction going on which made lots of noise during the day. Our unit was nicely renovated. The sliding glass door was noisy at night due to the high winds. Staff and security were very friendly. Parking was easy to find. We would come back.'

'This a great property that functions well for large events. The rooms are laid out hotel style so plenty of privacy with a large common room and kitchen on the top floor. The pool, gym, and theater are a definite bonus. The property has a short private path that opens onto a public beach. I cant recommend this place enough.'
