'It was difficult to find the first time. Probably more my GPS fault than anything. Once arrived, I had to walk around the area to find my lodgings. GPS said "you have arrived" well, that wasn't good enough. I walked around till I found it. I slept in the twin bunk room. The bottom bunk bed was very uncomfortable. 'We live in Edinburgh but had to book somewhere to stay while we were having work done at our house and Sycamore Cottage was perfect for four of us. The bedrooms are really spacious and the kitchen is really well equipped which isn’t always the case in self catering accommodation. We didn’t think we’d need to use the log burner but a typical Scottish spring meant we used it a few nights and there was plenty of logs left for it. Easy to drive into Edinburgh or can get the train from Gorebridge....

'They property was very clean and very well equipped . it is It is on the small side but has everything needed for short stay. The shower is lovely and everywhere was very clean. The biggest benefit is being so close to the river and the beautiful walks around the river. The town had lots of good restaurants and lovely shops.'
