This place was an absolute beautiful place to stay and in a great area. The only unfortunate thing was that we had booked a room with a king bed and when given our room key we were in a room with two queens. Which, wasn’t a big deal, but there was a price difference between the king and the queen bed. We had went downstairs just to make sure we were in the right room and told that all of their king rooms had been filled, but then also said they could try and put us somewhere else. Which didn’t make a lot of sense because where else could they put us if all their rooms with king size beds were full? And we said we were okay with being in the room. Whenever we received our receipt through Expedia we were still charged for a king size room. The guest services tried to contact the hotel to see about getting a refund for the difference in price for not being in the King Size room, and no one would contact them back. I’m more than willing to be accommodating in situations like this, but what I don’t appreciate is being charged for a room that I didn’t stay in. Which is really unfortunate because it is a beautiful hotel!

We really enjoyed how close it was to the Power and Light District. Only down fall was parking even though it was nice having our car delivered to us.

Valet charged us for 2 days though we were there less than 24 hours, $70 total was too steep. Bathroom could have been cleaner—there were hairs in the tub.

My recent stay at Courtyard by Marriott Kansas City left me thoroughly dissatisfied. Despite the front desk has strongly recommended the valet parking service for safety, our vehicles were stolen, revealing a significant security breach. The valet parking area lacked essential monitoring and security personnel, proving to be as unsafe as the public option. What added to the disappointment was the hotel's response post-incident. Instead of providing support, they handed us over to a third-party company, creating a communication void as if the incident hadn't occurred on their premises. To compound matters, neither the hotel nor the third-party company offered any compensation for our losses. The lack of transparency further fueled our frustration. The hotel failed to provide any recording of the valet parking area, hindering a thorough investigation into the theft. This experience falls short of the commitment to guest safety and satisfaction. I hope the hotel takes urgent steps to address these security concerns and provides a more supportive environment for its guests in the future.

We stayed here for 4 days. The first day we slept in but the rest we were out in the morning for the day and our room wasn’t cleaned once. There was hair elastics and other debris from previous guests. It was definitely not up to the normal Marriott standards. The 3rd day we asked if we could have our room cleaned or at least the small garbages dumped and towels replaced but came back at night and nothing had been cleaned. The employees could care less even when we told the front desk. I’m pretty easy going but the two of us staying here weren’t impressed

Marriott as a brand is just not what it used to be! Not one single thing in our last 3 Marriott stays, and all in the last 90 days, has been luxurious, or made us feel pampered. Elevators not working, front desk dont seem to know their job, beds and linens so far beliw luxury standards! Truly looking for a replacement for Marriott and all their stepchildren they're yrying to bring under their brand.
