Was disappointed.
My kids and I visit Kauai regularly because we have many relatives there. I booked this condo due to the location and reviews about cleanliness. The main areas, bedding, and towels were clean but other areas were clearly overlooked. For example, the shower curtain was yellow and mildewy at the bottom, the vent in the bathroom had a thick layer of dust, and the toothbrush holder still had toothpaste residue on and inside of the cup. There was dust/sand in corners of the bedrooms and dresser drawers, crumbs in the kitchen drawers, and sand in the futon when laid flat. The tv in the twin bedroom never worked during our stay. The owners said to call the cable company to have it fixed but I would rather not deal with a cable company on vacation. They gave me a $100 refund for it not working. There was a bug trap left in the open in the living room area when we checked in, so I was concerned, but we only saw one cockroach during the entire stay. The complex is quiet, convenient to get to, and the a/c in the bedrooms are nice. There is no a/c in the main area. The kitchen is well stocked with flatware and cookware. The beach items and some of the furniture were well used, and one of the dressers was missing a handle. I understand everyone has their own definition of clean, but was disappointed in the condition of the unit compared to photos and reviews.

Condo was as described. We arrived after dark and had difficulty finding the exact condo due to lack of outdoor lighting. Walking up to the units with cellphone light attempting to find unit felt a little much. Condo was clean, beds comfy, although queen squeaked a lot. Kitchen had all that was needed.

Good stay
The condo was in a good central location so we could travel to North Shore and Waimea Canyon on different days. There are no views from the condo, but we didn’t care as we were out and about until after dark both nights. The cute condo was clean and well-stocked. A/C units in the bedrooms, but not the living room/kitchen. This was not an issue for us as the weather was not hot while we were there. The unit is on the ground floor but we didn’t have any problems with bugs. There is just one condo above it. The residents/renters in the unit above us were quiet. Jennie left us a guide for all the local restaurants, hikes, parks, beaches, etc. She was great with communication. I’d recommend the condo and would stay here again.

So much fun!
This is a great place to stay. The price is right for the accommodations. The kitchen was very functional and well equipped. Being centrally located and on the ocean side is a huge plus. There are many places close by within walking distance. We had a blast.

Decent place to stay on a budget
The condo is decent for the price. It is in a central location, but the actual complex it's in felt a bit sketchy. Positives: - Price. Great price for a trip on a budget. - Linens and towels were good quality. We slept pretty well. - Walking distance to beaches. I wouldn't classify them as swimmable, but nice to go on walks. - Beach gear was nice, some random snorkel gear, 2 boogie boards, umbrella. Chairs were beat up so we didn't use those. The prior guests did not clean them up at all, so there was sand spilling everywhere in the storage closet. - Close to stores and restaurants. Negatives: - Main room did not have an AC unit like in the pictures. It was hot most of the day and night. The AC unit in the main bedroom kept disconnecting from the window and would fill the room with hot air. I had to reconnect it several times. - Apartment was very small. We had very little space to store our luggage and store/prepare food. Overall, it was okay, but if we could do it again, I would pay more for a larger, more updated place.

Pros: walking distance to many shops and restaurants (recommend Kenji Burger), good communication with host, shower very nice, right next to La Hikina Luau. Cons: pre-dawn rooster wake up call (recommend keep on A/C unit to drown out the noise), squeaky bed. Overall it’s comfy place to crash, reenergize before going out. Everything is as advertised.

Well placed for exploring island. Compact but all need for pleasant stay. One thing would say is stayed here before and thought there were coasters and place mats but none this time.so had to use kitchen roll when using table for meals to try and protect wood surface.

Location, location, location!
Our family of three had a great stay here. We did an extended stay of a month. The location is perfect for convenience of restaurants and grocery stores, as well as driving to the north and south ends of the island. The cleaning staff did an excellent job (especially since we had a messy toddler). The property owner was very responsive, especially when the keypad did not work upon our arrival. Because we stayed for several weeks, it was important to have a well furnished condo, well stocked kitchen, and hood WiFi for working, which were all great here. We honestly had no issues whatsoever during our stay and would love to return to this location.

Relaxing stay, super clean property
My husband, teenage son (14), and I enjoyed a week in Kapa'a at this condo. It was exceptionally clean--our kudos to the cleaning crew! We had two issues--the upstairs neighbor (who moved out during our stay) being VERY noisy, and the battery dying on the door lock (so we couldn't punch in the code and enter the condo)--and the condo management team was quick to respond and very helpful in both instances. The location of this condo is central to many things; you can walk to a grocery store and a number of restaurants, plus it is a good jumping-off midpoint for exploring the rest of the island. It was only about 15-20 minutes from Lihue (the airport and many larger shops, like Costco). Parking at the condo was literally 10 steps from the door, which we appreciated. We loved having the little coin laundry available within a short walk -- bring your quarters! The kitchen and bathroom had everything we needed (nice that there was both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig), and we appreciated the use of a few extra beach items and towels. The beds were comfy, and it was great having the option of air conditioning in the bedrooms overnight (use of it also drowned out the roosters crowing early in the morning). It was wonderful to be able to walk five minutes to the ocean and sand--really gorgeous sun rises! Overall things were quite comfortable, though the living room could use an end table or two and some lamps. Great choice for the money--we'd consider staying here again!

Just what you need,
It was one of the cleanest places and we make a point trying lots of places. Attention to detail was wonderful. Towels, toilet paper uniquely folded. Again detail was not missed. AC was fine and kept up during our stay this time of year. Great place and location when understanding what is needed when staying on Kauai. Having a comfortable place to reset and head back out. Only slight ding was having upper full time residents with children on hardwoods, but seemed to be quiet around 8pm and as long as your up by 6 all good. Easy parking and overall a great place. The back screen door would not hold in tracks but sure it will be a fix. I tried. Thank you for the stay.

Aloha, Our condo has 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed in one bedroom and 2 twin beds in another. We also have a Fulton. Our house keeping clean throughout including the floor. The humidity may cause the floor to feel sticky. We have portable Ac in bedrooms and ceiling fans in every rooms to circulate the air throughout. There is no homeless within Village Manor that we are aware of. There are some come and goes within the public beach area which we have no control over. This is an on going issue throughout the world and Kauai is not exception. As of this writing, Kauai has step up and clean out the beaches. This issue has been rectified. Mahalo.

Location is fabulous- everything is within a short walking distance- restos, food, shopping etc. Excellent value for money (2 rooms and 1.5 baths). Overall, nothing luxurious but clean, practical and well priced. Plenty of parking. Safe.

If we could give them 10 STARS, it still would not be enough!!!
From the moment we came into the property and space >> BOOM! A dream come true on the Garden Island. The sense of taste, utility and the added bonus of a gaggle of chickens in the backyard and 'lanai' was so noticeable and intentional. We even named the large Rooster "Bob" as he was as charming and playful as he was boisterous. The property is really comfortable and easy to feel at home because of its... -- interior design touches -- attention to detail and warmth -- two rooms and with portable AC's! -- Irish Cream bottle for our coffees -- fast, simple and clear communication -- access to God-inspiring sunrises only 3 minutes away by 'slippers!' My daughter commented on how great your shower was compared to the one we are in on O'ahu here in Waikiki. My girlfriend who comes from Kaua'i often mentioned just how at home she felt -- like we were staying at a fried's house who really wanted us to enjoy our time at Village Manor. Oh yeah...Definitely have breakfast at the Olympic Cafe which is only a short distance from the house. Seriously, well done Team Jennie L. We are planning to book again to get my parents to Kaua'i and experience more of this amazing jewel of the Hawaiian islands...Kaua'i, that's why!

The apartment was clean and cute, and the location was great. We were very close to shopping, dining and the beach. We loved that there was snorkeling gear and beach towels and chairs to use. The only thing that would make me not want to book again was the upstairs neighbors. Starting from very early in the morning and lasting until late at night you could here every single footstep of the kids running around upstairs.. whenever we were there it was just constant banging and thumping. Kids will be kids, but it did make it hard to find the place peaceful.

Excellent hub for Kauai explorers
Three of us had a very enjoyable stay. The location is ideal -- a two-minute walk to a strolling beach and a short walk to Safeway and Starbucks. Good nearby restaurants and close to terrific beaches. Easy and close parking and a nice back porch and yard with Kauai's famous chickens. We loved the chickens and roosters. The condo is comfortable, very clean, well stocked (but could use basic spices like salt and pepper). We initially had trouble with the living room TV but Alex responded with three visits to address the problem, which turned out to be a faulty remote. Good communication. Highly recommend.

Perfect location.
This was the most convenient and affordable option for our stay on Kauai. This condo was very clean and comfortable and had many comforts like bedside charging ports and a kurig machine. Beach items, dishes, shampoo and conditioner are just some of the items provided. The AC in the bedrooms worked fine. Beds very comfortable. We could hear people upstairs but if you live in an apartment you know that's expected. Very quiet here overnight. We walked to the beach for sunrise every morning. Very happy overall!

Good place to stay with the family
We stayed here for 10 nights with our family of 5 (kids ages 15, 13, and 10). First it’s a great location for seeing the island. We came with the plan to hike in the north and scuba dive from the south so this place was centrally located and allowed us to easily do both. It isn’t ocean front but it is well priced and you can quickly walk to a beach path (only a minute or so away) where you can go to watch the sunrise and walk to dinner. It’s also very close to lots of amenities which is nice when travelling with a family! We followed their advice and ate at sleeping giant grill at their recommendation and it was so good we ended up going 3 times. Highly recommend it and walk along to beach to get there if you can. It’s also close to Lydgate park which is a beach for everyone- boogie boarding, snorkelling, and the playground. The only challenge we had was when we first arrived the shower wasn’t draining. The landlord quickly responded and had a plumber come over that day. Unfortunately he only cleaned out the filter so by the end of our trip the same thing was happening so hopefully that can be fixed before the next guests. Also be aware of the sugar ants. I’ve lived in a tropical climate before so came prepared with lots of ziplocs and we kept all food in the fridge so make sure you do the same. I have found these ants very hard to eradicate so no fault to the owner. Was really nice to have snorkel gear, cooler, and beach towels provided. Overall good stay.

This was a lovely place in our price range. It was equipped with water gear which we really enjoyed and used on both of our excursions to the beach. It is close to almost everything by car. I really liked its central location. Fairly close to the Airport. Close to groceries and shopping. Lydgate park was a fantastic place for the kids. Very helpful guide book as well.

I enjoyed the property very much. However it was difficult at times to get hold of the property manager especially on a Sunday. Once I was able to, he was very responsive and helpful. I loved the convenience of the location and access to the beach and walking trail along the beach for miles.
