Our stay was in April 2024. View from lanai absolutely beautiful. Condition of unit horrible. Carpet very dirty. Had a throw rug over portion of carpet that had a permanent ripple that was a tripping accident waiting to happen. Damaged front door, chunks of wood scratched out. Louvers on screen area of door did not open so could not get cross wind. Old dirty couch so did not use pull out bed. Key to front door did not work so only used keypad. Toilet flushing very slow in refilling & weak. Had to wait 5-7 minutes before next flush could happen. Inside the unit was in very poor condition. Would stay in the complex again, just never unit 111 unless some serious updating/repairs r done.

Great view and wonderful location!
The view from the lanai was beautiful. Check-in and communication were great. The unit was well-equipped and clean although it's probably time for some upgrades with the living room carpet and the kitchen area. Would definitely stay there again.

Great spot. East coast right on the beach. Found we were central to all the stuff we wanted to do. Didn’t have to say a word to the host, in and out no problem. Would come again!

Excellent location spoiled by awful detergent smell
I tried communicating with owner about scent allergies. The awful scent of laundry product used would not wash out of sheets and towels after two hot washings with All Free and Clear. The unit location is wonderful with being so close to sound of ocean waves, and nicely furnished and decorated. Except for coffee maker and kettle too dirty to use. I wonder, if I bring all my own sheets, bedspread, towels if I could return???

We loved listening to the waves at night and spotting whales during the day. We only needed the A/C for a couple of nights and it worked well. We loved the central location and also having a washer/dryer/dishwasher in the unit. There are many stores, bakeries, coffee shops, etc. within walking distance. The waves sounded great but there is also some traffic noise during the day mostly. The kitchen/bathroom/living room are about ready for a refresh but we didn't mind. The pillows were kind of wimpy. Everything was clean and we felt safe. The neighbors were friendly and the pool area was nice with two gas grills to use. There was one night when someone was having a fire on the beach and the smoke was blowing directly into our unit all night long so we eventually had to close all the windows and turn on the A/C. Thankfully that only happened once during our 10 night stay. The shower was nice with good water pressure. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity comes up.

Magic in Kauai
We had a wonderful week long stay. The property is nicely maintained. The owners provided clear directions regarding access to the property. We never heard from the property manager about a car tag, but never had any issues with parking there. Overall, we would go back in a minute! It is in a nice location that is central to the entire island and allowed us to visit all over and come back to the "middle" area so that each day didn't end on an extended drive back. Plus there is a beach there for your own use or if you drive a mile, there is a park with an entire area for swimming for kids and adults which is protected from the ocean waves. Overall, amazing.

Peaceful with beautiful view
This 1st floor condo was a wonderful home away from home for our week long honeymoon! We sat out on the lanai overlooking the ocean every morning. Kitchen was well equipped, although we ate out most meals. Lots of little “extras” included. Quick/easy walking access to quiet beach. Property is private and quiet. Many good local eateries and shopping centers a short drive away. The host was more than accommodating and very responsive the entire process!

Right on the beach!
Condo was just about as close to the ocean as you can get. Another plus is watching planes take off and land in the distance at Lihue. Kapa'a is a neat little town with lots of good food close at hand. This condo is just steps from a beautiful pool as well. Only negative, a/c is good for bedroom only, but opening up lanai doors and using all fans works pretty well, plus you get the sounds of the ocean as an extra benefit!

Good location for the price
There's a good view of the ocean and the nearly constant sound of the waves crashing. The pool is well maintained. There are good places nearby to eat. The TV and internet work good. The washer and dryer seem brand new. The dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and stove are relatively new. The bed was not very comfortable. The furniture is older and the sofa is not very comfortable. The bathroom is just okay. The kitchen cabinets need some repair. The carpet is stained in a few places and the rug in the living room needs replacing.

Home away from home.
Great central location from pretty much everything on the island. Listing is exactly as described. Owner leaves perfect details on what to do while you’re there for check in and out and even provides great amenities to make life easier at the home and or the beach. The lanai view tops it all off as well as the view from the pool. Will definitely come back and stay.

The Pacific is right there outside the balcony. Convenient location, can go anywhere in a short time. The weather was hot and humid, however. AC was only available in the bedroom.

My family enjoyed our stay. It had what we needed...bed, kitchen, shower. The view from the lanai was incredible. The pool right outside our front door was very convenient. The grounds were immaculate. Mark, the resident host was very attentive, friendly, and kept people in line if needed...quiet hours at pool, no glass around pool, etc. Overall we were pleased.

We enjoyed our stay at Wailua Bay very much. The condo was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Excellent location close to restaurants and with a great view from the lanai. Swimming pool was clean and heated. Luke was great!

Worth every cent for the view!!
Very centrally located on the island; easy parking, easy check in process. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable enough. For the amount of time you are in your condo, this is more than enough. The best feature is the sunrise with your morning coffee from the balcony. Honestly, can't be beat. Our last morning, we had the most beautiful sunrise. Great place to watch for whales and dolphins as well! Nice easy walk to the Lava Lava Beach Club for fantastic food and mai tais.

My husband and I stayed here with our 18 month old twins, and everything was great. We had everything we needed, location was awesome, and owners were accommodating and very easy to get into contact with. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful view but shabby interior. Cheapest of everything. TV remotes problematic. Resent paying for “cleaning” and then asked to partially clean before I leave. Really? Good location for the north side activities but traffic is an issue. “Highway” is a two lane road so plan ahead. Mark , the manager, was helpful.

Hi Mindy, I believe you may be referring to the carpet in the living room. We had it thoroughly cleaned after your departure. I apologize for its condition when you rented. I also want to apologize for the remote controls. I included a handy guide on how to use them located on the coffee table. We are in the process of securing permits from the condo association to replace the carpeting all together. We anticipate the work being completed mid summer 2023. Thank you, Luke and Kristi

A room with a view is an understatement!
Sitting on the balcony and enjoying the view, listening to the sound of the waves crash into the rocks below us, had to be one of the best memories of our stay in Kauai. We were able to walk down to the beach and enjoy playing in the beautiful water. Of course the house had absolutely everything we could have possibly needed, including snorkeling equipment, beach towels, and even a pair of great binoculars! The bed was huge, and incredibly comfortable. There was even an extra blanket to keep my hubby nice and warm! The property manager was super friendly and very attentive to the property and guests. The location was perfect as well, and convenient to everything we wanted to do on the island. The property owner was also very friendly, and went out of his way to be helpful when VRBO was having some system errors with the payment processing of the remainder of our balance. I would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone wanting both a gorgeous view and the mesmerizing sound of the waves just yards from the balcony.

Lovely setting, dated suite!
This is our second visit to Kauai and Wailua Bay. This particular condo is on the ground floor of the building with lovely views of the ocean and far enough from the highway to minimize road noise. It is an old but well maintained building/pool area and central to popular Island destinations to the north and south. The condo itself is quite dated and not very well maintained. Laminate flooring is lifting in the bathroom, there are floor depressions in the kitchen and carpeting in the living room is stained. The LR furniture is old with the couch covered with a throw, ottomans in very poor condition, and countertop laminates lifting in several locations. If you’re looking for a good location with ocean views for a reasonable price and aren’t too concerned about quality, this place offers decent value. We do believe however that some minor housekeeping, maintenance and customer service improvements would go a long way toward improved repeat business. Fixing the drapes and landline phone, cleaning cobwebs, providing decent soap and a few welcoming gifts (I.e. coffee/tea and sugar/creamers for the first morning), cleaning carpeting and fixing the ottomans would be a good start.

The best thing about the property was the view - it was amazing!!! The pictures on vrbo must have been very old because the actual carpet in the living room was very stained and gross. The floor in the bathroom was starting to come up. The condo is in serious need of a few updates. When we arrived the bedroom air conditioner (the only air conditioner) and the refrigerator were not on. It was like we weren't expected. The one air conditioner in the bedroom was not enough to cool the unit and we were there in a heat wave.

Amazing views
The views were amazing and enjoyed the central location for exploring the island. It’ll be better after the noisy and bright road construction that goes on all night is over by October 2022. The only a/c is in the bedroom so we couldn’t sleep there. Slept on the rather springy fold our couch in the living room with the room light up from road construction all night. The beautiful sound of the waves almost over powered the all night road construction noise. The carpeting, couch and curtains are pretty gross but I use antibacterial wipes allot anyway. We’re still overall pleased for the price.

Great find on the island
This place is a total score if you can get it. We went on to stay at two places that cost twice as much, and this place was the universal favorite of our group. The location is idyllic - literally oceanside. It's easy drive up and out, and the pool is charming and again literally just outside the front door. Everything works, and the kitchen and bathroom were thoughtfully equipped. If you want a place that's truly relaxing where you wake up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore, this was it for us. Bonus point - the complex is small enough that delivery drivers will come right to the door, and there's a fantastic bakery for breakfast just across the street If you like Indian food, try Shivalik Indian nearby.

BEAUTIFUL OCEAN FRONT VIEW with GREAT LOCATION
Wonderful ocean front view condo. Fantastic way to start and end your day with the sounds of the waves. It is a super convenient location. It is pretty much a central location to all of the activities on the island. The keyless entry is a major plus. The kids liked that the pool was open later so they had a chance to swim in the dark after a long day of activities. The kitchen is stocked with every thing you need to cook the fish you caught that day. Also having laundry in room is so much more convenient then just a hotel room. The only thing I would change is the pillows. The owner was great at communicating. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended. Thank you Luke and Kauai for sharing your slice of paradise!!!

Older condo good location
The condo was comfortable but the bedding needs an update especially some new pillows. Nice view of the ocean with nice breeze. Air conditioning unit only in bedroom and very noisey. We were happy with the location and easy checking and the host sent us tips of things to do that were valuable to us. Full kitchen and washer dryer were great. We really enjoyed the beautiful pool. We give it 4 of 5 and price reasonable

Great location to tour the island
Easy check in, clean rooms and kitchen. Beautiful setting looking over the bay. The only complaint was the condition of the living room rug. It wouldn't take much to remove and replace. We couldn't understand what all the stained areas were from.

Everything you need
This was a perfect spot, centrally located, beautiful view and property with easy access to walking paths and restaurants. We are Kauai regulars and we're pleasantly suprise about the nice beach next door and easy access to the north shore.
