Casa Esmeralda was in een woord FANTASTISCH!!! Het mooiste uitzicht op het eiland op elk moment van de dag. We hebben een geweldige week gehad en komen graag nog eens terug.

good communications with the owner beforehand. Beautiful, fully equipped, luxurious house on a great location. Snorkelling and diving right in front of the house. Cleaning twice a week was really nice. Upon arrival there was enough in the fridge to have a nice evening with some wine and beer. We really enjoyed our stay here! Amazing house, can't wait to come back again!

Heerlijk huis direct aan zee
Na meerdere keren op Bonaire te hebben verbleven hebben we begin februari een week doorgebracht in Casa Esmeralda. Dit is ons uitstekend bevallen. Het huis heeft alle faciliteiten voor een onbezorgd en luxe verblijf. De voorzieningen in de woning maar ook voor buiten zijn van een hoge standaard. Het ontbreekt aan niets. De ligging direct aan de kust met een eigen toegang tot de zee is een absoluut voordeel. De wind zorgt voor een verkoelende bries en de privacy is top. De locatie is rustig maar toch voldoende dichtbij voor supermarkt en restaurants. De eigenaren staan altijd klaar en doen er alles aan om de gasten een aangenaam verblijft te bezorgen. Een volgende keer kiezen we opnieuw voor Casa Esmeralda.

House was just as listed. Location just far enough away from town to be quiet but close enough to drive 10-15 min at night for dinner. Great snorkeling rot out front of property. Amazing dive shop 200 meters down the road.

Exceptional!!!
We had a truly wonderful week at this beautiful property - Casa Esmeralda! Everything was as described. The hosts were absolutely lovely, friendly, responsive, and proactive (addressing a "pump" issue before we even knew it was an issue.) The hosts even brought us some fresh Wahoo that they caught during our stay - all cleaned and ready for the grill. It was delicious. The location is great for snorkelling and diving (Flamingo Dive Shop is walkable from the house, as is a fun casual restaurant/resort - Ocean Oasis). It's also close to everything but totally secluded from the neighboring houses. You never even see the Cruise Ships except at night as they are leaving the island! The reef out in front of the property was great for snorkelling and there is an easy access point into the water at a beach less than 1/4 of a kilometer south of the house (called "The Lake"). Fantastic holiday!

Awesome Oceanfront Villa
We had a great time at Casa Esmeralda! Kittie and Jan were excellent hosts and the villa was exactly as pictured. The views were spectacular with regular sightings of dolphins and flamingos. The pool and pool table were very relaxing and enjoyable and the snorkeling directly from the villa was fantastic. The villa and recommendations from the hosts really made our vacation wonderful!

Beautiful spot in quiet location
We had a wonderful time during our stay. It is south enough out of town so it is a bit quieter than other locations. We had wonderful snorkeling/scuba right out our door with lots of turtle sightings along with a big spotted eagle ray! Kitty and Jan made checkin/out very easy and answered any questions promptly. The top floor bedroom has an amazing view of the ocean but the bottom floor has none as to be expected. We also played pool/billiard almost everyday!

I cannot say enough about Jan and Kittie. They answered every question we had within minutes, provided references for all activities, restaurants and were very friendly. The house was in a wonderful location for those who like to be close to town but not in the bustle of it. The snorkeling and diving were great at the house and there were several great sites very close. The house itself was great and the layout provided privacy for everyone with the three levels. I would definitely rent this house again in the future. Really wise we could have stayed longer.

Amazing oceanfront paradise
The villa is central to everything. The views are spectacular . You are less than 10 minutes away from the airport. The owners were always available if we had any questions. The villa is one of the best places you can stay at in Bonaire. Jan was very nice and took care of us even when there was a minor miscommunication with the booking. We will definitely come back to this villa. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Place!
We came to Bonaire with some friends for a diving trip. Two with us did not dive, but there is plenty to do to keep everyone as busy as they would like. The house was very open with great breezes throughout. We all spent most of our time on the deck and pool area overlooking the ocean; so relaxing! We were able to dive right off the property. Jan, the property owner was exceptionally helpful and available any time we needed. We will be back!

5 stars for our stay at Esmeralda
Our family of 8 was so pleased with our week at this property! The house is spacious & airy, with air conditioning in each bedroom. Beds were so comfortable, and linens and towels plentiful. Outside area & views were our favorite though! We dove just a short swim out to Punt Vierkant and the reef was beautiful & sealife plentiful. The pool was just the cool off that we needed, although the continual breeze was lovely. The kitchen was well stocked with new looking pots & pans & we did cook in several nights Jan was available when needed. He provided excellent tips for grocery trips & restaurants. Unfortunately we were not able to stay a final night, but Bettina had suggested a small resort just down the road. It was wonderful as well, but we preferred having our privacy & personal home for the week. They also recommended a dive shop for our daughters and sons in laws to become PADI certified. Shout out to VIP Dive shop and Trinity for taking such good care of them! Only word of caution is that Bonaire does have small biting insects, so take care to shut screen doors and use bug sprays (which were included). Also, at times we were subjected to tiny jellyfish stings, so wear a rash guard shirt if you want to avoid them. If this sounds like the house for you, book it! You won’t regret it!

Stunning beachfront house
We just spent the past week at Casa Esmeralda and our experience was wonderful. We were kindly greeted by Jan on the first day and he was able to help us with any issues throughout the week. He was kind enough to let us store our bags for a few hours on our last day before our flight, so we could enjoy our last few hours on the island. Everyday we woke up to beautiful panoramic views of the ocean. We saw flamingos, dolphins and a sea turtle just off of the back deck. The house has many things to offer including a fully equipped kitchen a couple dining areas and even a pool table to enjoy in the evenings. We had more than enough space for our group of 5 people and everyone had plenty of privacy. We would highly recommend staying here and would definitely love to return in the future.

Beautiful, Amazing, Peaceful, Wonderful location
We arrived to find that the property and management were EXACTLY as amazing as the short video portrays. The views are breathtaking. Each of the bedrooms was beautiful, but the master, overlooking the ocean, was jaw dropping. My sweetheart and I spent such quality time under the moon light; romantic times ten. The cleanliness of the residence, of the appliances and the pool and deck, was so appreciated. The gear room and tank so handy. We dove from the backyard many times, and swam to the Hilma wreck with ease. Without question I will look forward to our next visit.

Spectacular House in an excellent and quiet locaiton
One of the best houses on Bonaire to rent if you want more privacy and quiet yet also be beach front and not far from the towns resources. The host was excellent in professionalism and small items that most houses would not include like spices and charcoal or bug spray were thoughtfully provided. As well a fridge stocked with essentials for ones first night and next morning. We would definitly stay here again.

Perfect Vacation for Close Friends
Absolutely loved the home, the pool, the gorgeous/spacious patios and stair access to the Ocean. Thoroughly enjoyed the ocean breeze going through the home, seeing pelicans, flamingos, dolphins, tarpon, turtles and parrot fish all from the patio. Snorkeling in front of the home was perfect. Access to many dive locations was a wonderful convenience. Dining commendations provided by host were spot on for what we were looking for. First trip to Bonaire for all 6 of us (3 couples who are long-time friends), this home was perfect for us. Jan (local host) also provided some amazing fish for a perfect lunch. Such a wonderful host to us.

This property is absolutely beautiful! Very well-maintained. The house is equipped with everything you need for a fabulous time in Bonaire. Kitchen is fully equipped for making meals etc. All rooms have King sized beds which are comfortable. The house is the perfect size. We had a group of 6 adults and 2 kids. Pool is great! The view is absolutely breathtaking!!!! Jan is very friendly and helpful. Check-in process was smooth. This house has it ALL!!! We would most definitely recommend this property and will come back!

The owner keeps a nice home and we really enjoyed our stay. Perfectly decorated and excellent location. THE PLACE TO BE!
I know I gave it away in my subject title for this review, but seriously, this is the place to be when in Bonaire! Bettina was amazing in the reserving process, with very timely and excellent communication. Never went without knowing. Jan was an awesome host. He was there if needed, but never, ever intrusive. These are "really good people". This place is in an excellent location, small beach entry (not many places to stay with that) great snorkeling just steps away from the villa, away from the hustle of cruise ships, quiet and a great place to get some alone time! Pool was clean and refreshing. They knocked it out of the park and we would definitely select them again for a stay should we make it back to Bonaire in the future! Thank you again Jan and Bettina for letting us enjoy your wonderful home!

Simply wonderful
We booked this house for one week and we just loved it. It felt like home directly. Check-in was easy, the fridge was already stocked up with some drinks and breakfast for the next day which was really nice as we arrived in the evening and were pretty jet lagged. The view is spectacular, we loved watching the sunset and spent so much time on the terras outside. Nice layout of the house with a lot of privacy for everyone (impressive master bathroom and bedroom!). Easy to go snorkeling in front of the house. All in all a very relaxing and wonderful stay, we really appreciated the late check-out and and this is for sure: we definitely will be back!

Gorgeous view! Well stocked kitchen for cooking. Only downside is lots of ants and mosquitoes but that comes with the beautiful location on the water. Rinse tank, laundry machines and room to hang dive gear are a great addition. House reef is a great reef for quick dives.

An awesome place to spend a week!
We were greeted by Bettina when we arrived and given the tour. They’d provided some groceries so we didn’t have to rush out to the store, which was so nice. We took advantage of their suggestions and were never led astray. We did stay in and cook several nights and it was so nice to have a stocked kitchen. Jan rescued a baby flamingo and was taking it to the rescue, but he knocked on the door and let us get an up close look, first. Overall, an exceptional trip and Jan and Bettina are awesome.

Wonderful place to stay
My husband and I celebrated 30 years of marriage in this wonderful villa. This was our 5th trip to Bonaire to dive and one of the nicest places we stayed. We could not have had a better time. We dined at Delfin's Resort (just a mile up the road) right on the water, dove 11 different sites on the island, kite boarded and just generally sat on the enticing back deck, enjoying the ocean breeze and sipping wine. We saw a school of dolphins and a flock of flamingoes fly by. The place has a nice layout with 5 bedrooms but it does not feel massive or overwhelming. Their are intimate spaces to be in. Two friendly iguanas visited every day. I fed them banana from my hand. My only teeny complaint is that the place did not provide soap for the shower but otherwise, it was a great and Jan was a terrific host, We will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful Casa Esmeralda
We had a wonderful time during our 2 weeks at Casa Esmeralda! This is a beautiful home, situated on a nice beach 10 minutes from the center of Kralendijk. Every need was taken care of and the owners went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our vacation. We have stayed at many luxury rental properties on Bonaire and this one is absolutely the best!!

Great location - very nice house
The house - Casa Esmeralda is a modern very nice house. We felt the location was excellent. Good snorkeling location and dive site right off the house. The outside seating area was everyone's favorite - very comfortable with a steady breeze and great view. The house and especially the kitchen is very well equipped with good quality items. The house definitively reflects an owner who has pride of ownership. We would highly recommend the house. The only negatives are that the two bedrooms on the main floor and the two bedrooms in the basement level have only one bathroom - not idea for adults. And the lighting in parts of the house is dark - we got used to it but it is a bit under lighted in areas.

WOW !!!!
That about sums up our early January 2018 trip to Bonaire and our stay at Casa Esmeralda. First time in Bonaire and saw this house on VRBO. We are a family of 4 , including 2 teenage sons. This house allows 10 guests in 5 bedrooms but when I saw the photos of the deck and view (Pool table was a bonus) , this sold me to stay at this house. Email communication with Bettina was excellent prior to our stay. We had a 7pm arrival at the airport , grocery stores close at 8pm. She had stocked the frig with good and drinks to get us through breakfast and lunch the next day. Jan (her husband) was waiting for us the check us in and give a tour of the house when we arrived . They live right next door to the house , so it was great to have them near for any questions. The house is amazing, great breezes to cool the house , each bed room has AC if needed. My sons and I did the trifecta for Bonaire....SCUBA, Kiteboarding and Windsurfing. The house is close to all areas. It is close to town and all activities. We enjoyed being able to get out of town when the cruise ships arrived and felt like we had our own private retreat. My wife spent a lot of time on the covered deck reading and enjoying the views and using the pool to cool down. they also have a bonus of having a local cell phone to use. Perfect Family Vacation in Diver’s Paradise
My family and I stayed at this gorgeous home a few weeks before Christmas. We were greeted warmly by Jan when we arrived for a tour of the Villa. Bettina had stocked the kitchen with fresh foods and beverages for our arrival. Jan gave us spot on recommendations on diving spots, restaurants & things to do. We spent our days diving right from the private beach, relaxing on the spacious deck, swimming in the pool and watching the gorgeous sunsets. It was fantastic, we didn’t want to go home. While staying here, Jan brought us a tuna that he caught that morning for us to prepare for dinner. Their hospitality was unlike any that we have experienced staying in Villas all over the Caribbean. They made us feel at home. We are already planning our return.

Incredible house on Bonaire!
Paradise in Bonaire and this house checks off all the boxes to make a perfect vacation spot! The view is simply amazing with the ocean just steps from the house. A beautiful deck which we used everyday with a beautiful pool that we cooled off in after a day out exploring. We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen and then ate dinner under the stars with our family of 8. Nice big rooms, bathrooms and bedrooms. Every room in the house is comfortable with amazing breezes that come through the house all day long. Our family enjoys kiteboarding and the kiteboarding beach is very close to the house. A storage room in the lower level is perfect for all our equipment. We snorkeled in front of the house and enjoyed watching the sunsets and moon over the water at night. The owners were very helpful with answering questions and giving us suggestions. I would highly recommend this house for a fabulous stay on Bonaire!

Wonderful Family Vacation!
We stayed at Casa Esmerelda in February 2017. We were 2 families with kids ranging from 8-10 and 1 babysitter. The trip was fantastic and the house was really amazing! The outdoor deck was simply stunning - a great place to look at the ocean, and the sunsets. The 2 iguanas who visited us daily were also a special treat and let us hand feed them! The snorkeling outside of the house was fantastic and the truth was you didn't even need to get in the water to see parrotfish and angelfish swimming right by the shore. The house was well appointed with everything we needed for the week and if we had any questions Bettina was a huge help - she even was a savior when our luggage broke on the last day and she made sure to help so that we could get home safely. Our only watch-out is the mosquito but they are no worse at the house then they were anywhere else on the island - we just recommend some bug spray! The mosquito nets in the house were definitely a nice treat to help with that as well. All-in-all it was a truly wonderful vacation in a gorgeous home that is well taken care of on a beautiful tropical island. What more could you ask for?
