heerlijk huis
we hebben genoten van dit heerlijk huis met 2 comfortabele slaapkamers. mijn enige punt van negatieve kritiek is de kwaliteit van de slaapsofa. deze is zelfs voor 1 persoon heel onaangenaam. mijn advies: beter uittrekbed in de huiskamer!

Property on the water in Hato
Reasonable property for the price, nice to have the water view, although no access directly to the water. One has to walk down to Captain Dons, the neighbors will not allow access. Living space smaller than it appears in the pictures, and the furnishings aren’t the most comfortable. There is no eating table per se inside, the dinning table is outside where it is quite hot in the afternoon. The king bed is quite comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. The rinse tank leaked, the property manager provided bins a bit into our stay to rinse our gear. It hadn’t been repaired by the time we left ( 3 weeks). Ok for a couple, possibly tight quarters for 2 couples.

Great location - great property
This property is in a great location... it was perfect for my husband and I for our visit. We were expecting another couple to stay with us, but they got covid just prior to their leaving, so they didn't make it. The house was really great for the two of us. The outside space, completely out of the sun, is smaller than we would have liked. The bedrooms are large enough and comfortable with plenty of closet space for clothes; the kitchen is nicely equipped (not just plastic plates and cups), knives, pots, pans, blender, etc. We had an issue with ants and needed more hangers, and the property managers were super responsive and helpful about rectifying those issues. All in all, a great property.

This was a great villa for our 2 week vacation. There were at least 5 restaurants we could easily walk to for dinner. We had our own parking spot at villa and there was additional space for second vehicles if required within the gated area. the views from the property were excellent. Each bedroom had an excellent ensuite bathroom. The railhead shower heads however need replacing -both upstairs bathrooms leaked from the centre hole so it was like standing under a hosepipe rather than a rain shower. The downstairs shower worked well. The beds upstairs were very comfortable. Plenty of hanging space and hangers as well as shelves. The ground floor was the area that most disappointed. The Futon was very uncomfortable both for sleeping and sitting. Sitting was not an issue as we always sat outside if at the property. the kitchen appliances were adequate although it would have been nice to have the water system in the fridge in working order. A dishwasher would also be a very welcome addition. We loved having bbq and used that a lot. If we had wanted to cook inside there would have been very little food preparation area. The laundry area was outside but the drying area was difficult to use. All the lines were on top of each other in a very small space. Other villas had a folding rack they colud use outside for swim, diving items which would have been a good addition.

Two nice separate bedrooms upstairs, each with bath. Additional full bath downstairs. Downstairs was a bit tight but we hardly spent any time there. Great backyard with covered table and chairs, a covered lounging area and gravel yard in the sun looking out at Klein Bonaire.

Dream Destination
Beautiful property on the sea, fully equipped kitchen. Location fabulous. You will need a car if staying at this property. Wonderful snorkeling on doorstep. Rum runners restaurant next door which was great. Supermarket across the road.

This property has it all! Great location, clean, kitchen stocked with essentials to cook with. Easy access to the water. Rum Runners within a very short walk. Owners quick to respond and very friendly! We will be back! It was perfect for our family!!

Excellent house for our family of 4.
I had a brief issue with the Wi-Fi that was solved in a very timely manner. Our teenage kids were able to walk the captain dons and explore on their own. The cliff dive site along with die friends made for an easy David experience. We definitely stay at this property again

Great location! Excellent diving right in the back yard.
This property is in an amazing location. Two dive shops within walking distance. Nice restaurant and bar next door at Captain Don's. The Wall reef right behind the house is a nice dive, plenty of fish and good night diving. Definitely would stay here again.

Oh what a view!
Our family of four loved our stay at this VRBO! Three bathrooms, great air conditioning and a gorgeous view will have us coming back for more. Snorkeling right from the unit is fantastic. We saw two turtles and a 4 foot tarpon, a huge variety of fish right in front of our unit. Communications were excellent with the office. Wonderful time - thank you!

What a beautiful little property with spectacular sunset views, we'd definitely stay here again. Rob and Zwa are great property managers, checking in on our needs and helping us when we unfortunately needed to cut our stay short.

Better than expected. Very quiet and easy walking distance to decent restaurants. Keys handed over out-of-hours at the airport by a taxi firm. An issue with limited outdoor shade each afternoon. A sun umbrella for the yard is badly needed and the parking space bakes in full sun. AC very good but through-draught and fans are even better. Hob cooking is on gas, but NO oven. So no pizza, no baking etc, just a simple microwave with instructions only in Italian! Excellent huge fridge. Mosquito defences are a must outdoors, but the house is bug-free. Being able to drink chilled tap water is a bonus. Easy sea access from Capt Don's pier, but as non-hotel guests staff are very unpleasant if you enquiry about fin hire etc. So best hire from Dive Friends at Hamlet Oasis, but pricey!! Excellent snorkelling in calm water but beware fire coral burns at Dive Friends sea access. There is a narrow boardwalk along the sea edge that leads to Capt Don's. Happily the painful neighbour was not in residence. Rum Runners provides excellent bar service, but quite poor dinner service. Ingridients restaurant is easily the star gourmet experience and amazing value, so pre-book alternate evenings. Local Zhung Kong mini-market carries basic supplies, with six well stocked supermarkets in KJ town. We much preferred Bonaire to Curacao, and marked Aruba as definitely worth avoiding. Aruba is high cost and noisy and has lost discernible Dutch influence, feeling like Florida just with better beaches. Would definitely return to Bonaire and to Hamlet 5 and just buy a sun umbrella.

Villa was beautiful, location is great, close to most things. Grocery store across the street pretty solid with most things. Rum Runners is close and pretty solid (great cocktails). Dive Friends dive shop was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Only real negative (which is pretty small) is the water access is either out to the left at Capt Don’s or over to the right at the dive shop. Not an easy walk with scuba equipment so we drove and parked at dive shop for “The Cliffs”. Really enjoyed ourselves. Relaxing week!

Fantastic Vacation!
We loved our stay at Villa #5. After arriving, I noticed that everything was extremely clean. The property kitchen and bathrooms looked like they were just remodeled. We liked the location on the island for snorkeling and getting around. When we returned from time away, it was always nice to get back to the beautiful surroundings of 'home'. Our stay was quiet and relaxing, no extra noise around, the walls are thick. Our hosts always responded if we had a question, but otherwise they did not bother us. We definitely miss our morning coffee on the upper deck, we loved the parrots and song birds. We ate out once a day, otherwise we enjoyed the well equipped kitchen for our meals. There is a newly built store across the street, they do not have a sign up yet......but we figured it out. We would not give Rum Runners a high rating overall, poor service. We did enjoy the 'take out', thin crust pizza, served at lunch or dinner there. For a fast, delicious, meal check out Between Two Buns.....open for breakfast and lunch.

Perfect beach home and location
We stayed at this property for 2 weeks and were very happy with our choice of accommodation. The house is in a great location, and the snorkeling just off the front is amazing! We did a lot of diving and snorkeling around the island and always thought our area was just as nice and often less choppy than other areas on windy days. Really enjoyed sitting out in front in the morning watching the ocean, enjoying sunsets each evening and barbecuing on the patio. Would highly recommend Hamlet #5!

Things to correct
Great location - easy access to town, dive shop and Don’s. However, the neighbour blocked access to the beach, including direct prosecution for trespass. No assistance was provided by property manager which was disappointing as beach access was advertised. A morning swim could only be achieved by walked to the jetty at Dons to get into the water. The upstairs TV’s in the bedrooms did not work. The plumbing was blocking in the bathrooms upstairs. Other than that - we had a good stay.

Dear Melonie, It was lovely having you as our guests! We are very sorry for the trouble with the neighbor, the description of the property describes water entry at Captain Don's habitat just as you ultimately utilized, for the reason of that particular neighbor who does not live at his house full time, but visits from time to time. The dispute of the water access is being handled by a court of law. It is unfortunately beyond our control. We will display the advisory of using the water entry 30 yards away at Captain Don's more strongly. We have not received report of the issues you have mentioned which is unfortunate, as for sure we would have addressed them swiftly. We feel bad that it was not brought up, as we did have pleasant contact with you in assisting in your request to print / copy of personal paperwork at our office. What a beautiful home and a great location for snorkeling from shore. We very much enjoyed our vacation and appreciate all the manager did for us. He even helped us get a rental car. When we come back to Bonaire, we hope that Villa 5 will be available.

Great location! Nice house! Spectacular reef!
The house was the exactly what I saw on the website. My husband, our son and I loved the house reef and sunset from the patio. I don't remember how many sunset pictures that I have taken while we were there. Screens on doors were nice/practical as we got nice breeze from outside. We did not use the AC a lot while we stayed there. Because we opened the window most of the time, we heard birds singing in the morning and heard sound of waves in the evening. Romantic! However, I would recommend to close the window on windy days as we got a lot of dust from outside. Bonaire has a lot of windy days! The house had many nice paintings of fishes and wall decorations. The TV on the master bedroom was broken, but we did not really watch TV so it did not matter. It would be very nice if there is something to block the sun light in the patio or in the middle of the yard facing the ocean. We'd love to come back there again.

Best Spring Break
The Hamlet Oasis was perfect! Great location for moving around island and my favorite snorkel sites. Guys dove from Captain Don's which was just 4 houses away.. We are already thinking about coming back and bringing our college son. Donkeys fun, lots of good food. We made all breakfasts in Hamlet and packed our own lunches. We like to travel and this spot was perfect!

Great on the water location
Nice house, newly renovated, nicely appointed. The location is great, especially for snorkeling as the reef right outside the door is very nice with easy access. The charcoal grill is brand new. A chimney style charcoal starter would be a nice addition, along with a portable cooler to take on our daily adventures. It was even nicer than the pictures. We had a great week at Villa 5!

Immaculate, comfortable and well appointed villa with great views and 2 balconys.We snorkeled right in front of the place and our 12 yr old daughter also loved the swimming pool just a short walk away. Rob and staff are very responsive and conscientious.

Lovely villa
The villa was lovely and location perfect, steps away from Cliff dive/snorkel site. Best features: - the hosts were lovely and attentive to requests - location is phenomenal and right on the water - great snorkeling and diving off the beach - little grocery store across street; large Van Den Tweel grocery store 7 minute drive away - villa is beautifully decorated Other Notes: - backyard has little shade and is very hot between approx 2:30 and 5:30. It could use a shade structure or more landscaping. Or just plan your swims and indoor naps at this time! - kitchen sink has issues draining. However you can work around this by minimizing your water usage and using large bowls as wash basins - an interim housecleaning during longer stays would be helpful, as it gets very dusty if you have the windows open. - be aware there are no basic grocery staples Overall a lovely place with great hosts.

Great Location & Snorkeling
We recently stayed for a week at Villa 5 and absolutely loved it! Great snorkeling just out in front of the villa and several restaurants within walking distance. We loved the outdoor covered dining area and there was plenty of lounge chairs out front for sun bathing, relaxing, or watching the awesome sunsets. The kitchen had everything we needed on the nights we wanted to stay in and cook. The villa has been updated and was very nice/modern. No complaints whatsoever! We will definitely stay here again!

Place was fantastic with 2 exceptions: no stove and kitchen sink kept filling up (made keeping dishes clean a challenge. Loved the house, location, view, snorkel outside, and spot to rinse and store dive gear. Really well done overall.
