St Judes is a superb and truly unique location on almost an acre of private grounds, wonderfully situated “tucked in” just behind the sand dunes of the immaculate blue flag “Carne Beach” with access directly onto the beach.
Carne Pier is also just a stroll from the house (By Beach or by Road) and makes for a fabulous viewing point from the harbor at any time of the day.
Just recently the house has been sensitively renovated by the owners inside & out to make this property a haven of peace.
This small Cottage is perfect for a couple or small family ( max 2 kids and 2 Adults) looking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life and enjoy time together in magical surroundings.
This lovely cottage is very comfortable with 2 bedrooms. (Sleeps 4 People comfortably.) Saturday to Saturday bookings (July & August. Flexible for the rest of the year) You will find a spacious double bedroom upstairs alongside a cozy mezzanine featuring a sofa during the day)
You will find a twin bedroom downstairs with 2 single beds, with the shower room ensuite. The downstairs shower room functions as the main bathroom for the house.
The main living room has a quaint wood-burning stove for cozy evenings and is the perfect place to relax after a day of swimming, picnicking or walking on the beach.
There is also a small reading room overlooking a walled garden which is off the dining/kitchen area. This is the ideal spot in which to relax with a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, a good book, and a lookout in the garden.
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped and ideal for the leisurely preparation of food or cooking something more sophisticated. Off the kitchen is a separate dining area with another wood-burning stove allowing you and your guests to linger late over a meal and allowing the conversation to continue.
*Carne is a small village near Rosslare port in County Wexford that is 31km (19 miles) from Wexford town and 150km from Dublin (about 90 mins drive).
Its nearby Lady's Island and Carnsore Point attract bird and seal watchers worldwide, and up to 50,000 sea birds can be seen on a summer boat trip around the Saltee Islands. Championship golf courses are nearby with local angling and pony trekking and many costa walking trails.
There is a small convenience supermarket in Our Ladys Island with a larger supermarket about 20 mins by car.
There are lots of lovely restaurants nearby with the award-winning “Lobster Pot” about 30 mins on foot. The house is adjacent to a self-catering mobile home park.
This property features WiFi and a large Garden with a walled garden & seating area.
Please note this is the house is small and of its era & ceiling heights are low. The stairs is the original stairs with steps that are uneven. While the stairs are beautiful and solid, they are not suitable for toddlers or small children.

A few small attention points ahead of booking:
- We do not charge a cleaning fee. We trust the house will be left in the same condition as you found it.
- Bed linen is provided but towels are not.
- Please do REMOVE ALL Rubbish & Recycling. The nearest WASTE AND RECYCLING DROP-OFF is BIGBIN KILLINICK, at the Amber Fuel Centre, Rosslare Rd, Killinick, Wexford,Y35 FKP5. Glass Bottle recycling is just as you turn down the lane to the house.
- Removal of ALL Food Items on departure: Please take all food from cupboards, fridge & freezer when leaving the house.
- There are 2 stoves in the house - Both work well but require you to purchase some firelighters, briquettes or logs.
