Groot hotel op een aangename locatie
In het algemeen vrij tevreden. Kamer is behoorlijk, de service voortreffelijk. Enkel voor het eten komt er te veel volk bij mekaar. Het eten zelf is OK gelet op de grootschaligheid. Voor de rest een zeer aangenaam hotel, mooi gelegen, mooie zwembaden en voldoende rustige plekjes. De omgeving zelf is rustig met de aangename jachthaven Puerto Calero en voldoende restaurants.

Net all-inclusive hotel, echter erg rustig gelegen
Betreft een net all-inclusive hotel. Veel Duitse en Engelse gasten. Het eten is eenvoudig, maar smakelijk. De kamers netjes en schoon. Hotel is heel rustig gelegen; Puerto Calero betreft een havenplaatsje met wat exclusievere modezaakjes - en supermarktje. Gewoon erg rustig. Over het algemeen was het hotel goed, maar voor ons was het dit hotel net niet. (Wellicht te kritisch) Bedden bijv. netjes, maar in de lakens scheurtjes. Personeel was niet erg behulpzaam, want wij reisden met baby en we moesten zelf de kinderstoel maar regelen aan tafel etc. Hotel krijgt van ons een cijfer 7.0.

Goed hotel: - eten was lekker, maar vooral op de hoofdzakelijk Engelse gasten afgestemd. - personeel was vriendelijk, maar had soms moeite met Engels/Duits. - hotel, kamers en tuinen waren ontzettend schoon en werden dagelijks goed gepoetst/opgeruimd. - meer dan 75% van de gasten was 50+, dus lekker rustig en geen schreeuwende kinderen. Centrum van Costa Calero is enkele minuten lopen. Het is klein, maar er zijn diverse winkels, restaurants en bars. - wij hadden een auto gehuurd gedurende de hele vakantie en we zijn blij dat we dat gedaan hebben. Er zijn goede wegen en alle plaatsen en bezienswaardigheden zijn goed aangegeven. - enige minpunt was dat de kamers gehorig waren, als de bovenbuurman 's nachts de schuifpui openden of door de kamer liepen, was dat bij ons goed hoorbaar. Samengevat een goed hotel waar we zeker terug zouden gaan.

Always really enjoy staying at the hotel. Perfect location for the harbour. Free bus to PdC is a bonus, the hotel team are always attentive and professional. Costa Calero is one of our happy places !

Superficial approach
It can be seen that the hotel saves where possible: - most food tasteless - coming later for dinner means some dishes are not available - they serve half-raw fish from the grill, when I advertise it to the shift manager, it goes away - the sports pool is full of paper left over from the fireworks on January 5 - the sand by the pool is full of small dirt - new year's eve for double the price disappointment with dinner - it corresponded to 3 stars, I had a great new year's eve in Tenerife in a 4 star hotel and it can't be compared at all, just a disappointment in Lanzarote - food left over from New Year's Eve was served on the following days - the dinner service won't notice you (especially older gentlemen), you have to walk up to them - the supervisor at dinner is so good at shaking hands, he doesn't see anything of what he's supposed to see - young service okay - reception okay - Christmas decoration in order - neither pool had the declared temperature!!! - in a whole week, no one fixed the malfunctioning shower - dirty sunbeds - although the hotel boasts a SPA, it deserves a maximum of 3 stars for ordinary services and a change of management, which is indifferent There are hotels that do more than they have to and there are hotels that do less. This hotel did less, there were a lot of minor disappointments.

However, about most of your comments, we are sorry to hear that your experience was not as you expected. We are surprised by many of the aspects that you have commented on. Starting with the food, we always offer a wide variety of quality dishes that can cover the taste of all our guests, even more so on such special dates. In addition, it is normal that if you arrive at the hours when dinner time is about to end, some dishes are no longer replenished, as many of them are prepared daily and at the moment. If at any time you feel that the food to be served hot is raw, you can reheat it in microwaves available, tell the team and they will reheat it to your liking. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Continuing with your comments about "dirt" in the pools, this is not so, maybe occasionally due to the wind and the hours in which the fireworks may be some debris, but the standards of cleanliness that we maintain in the hotel are high and everything is supervised all the time. As for the temperature of the pools, it is checked daily and may be slightly affected depending on weather conditions outside the hotel. We are sorry for the inconvenience. However, we are surprised that you commented that our Spa offers an ordinary service, as we offer a complete circuit and a variety of treatments by professionals. We stayed in the hotel in the end of April 2023. Hotel itself has beautiful and well looked after grounds, very good pools and nice SPA and gym. Food was very good and plenty in amounts and choice if you are omnivore. Some options for gluten-free diet, also I found no issue with catering vegan if vegetable stews are your dish. Vegetarian was even easier with eggs and cheese. Though not always you could see if cheese was vegetarian or not. Rooms were clean and cleaned well. Entertainment good and plenty especially if you like to get involved in activities with animation team, you will always find one. Animation team also gave very good night shows, I'd say, even better than some hired ones. Drinks were plenty to choose from, just download menus via QR code. Although sometimes you may get a little cheated with some lazy bartender so cocktails can vary in finish and taste. There is no cold coffee option at day bars, so just ask coffee and ice (and milk if you prefer) and mix it yourself. I found an issue finding not alcoholic drinks, as even for all inclusive there is only one alcohol free cocktail. At least they have alcohol free beer, but no alcohol free wine or cider. So if not boozing, options are very very limited. People who work at the hotel are hardworking, friendly and always willing to help. If you have any issue just ask the reception and, I am sure, they will find a solution for anything. Overall, I loved staying there and willing to come back one day. Thank you

Great gym and bar not too expensive. Whilst I thought the breakfast buffet was pretty good the only evening dining option in the hotel was buffet and no room service. Also our room and a continuous noise like a boiler sound which was annoying especially at night. We also had problems with our key card working. Most annoying of all our cards were cancelled st around 10am on our day of leaving so when returning to our room after breakfast to pack up we could not get in and had to go and sort it with reception

We have been here a few times pre covid and was just as good but room was looking dated in parts and air con not working We always seem to get a room the furthest from Reception and a good walk. We are able to do this but some people might struggle. Food was good. Plenty of choice. Plenty of sun beds. Entertainment good one night but other nights poor( thats our opinion and others might enjoy) We went down the hill to the port for a drink on night sometimes

We travelled are a family of four adults. Our rooms were beside each other on the fourth floor. The rooms were nicely decorated and spotlessly clean not an insect in sight. Overall the food was fabulous with something to suit everyone. We took part in lots of activities organised by the wonderful hotel team and enjoyed the entertainment each night. This was our 5th time holidaying at Costa Calero.

Lovely hotel in a quiet area. Staff are friendly and approachable. Dining options at the buffet are numerous and of good quality. Pools were great to swim in. Saltwater 40m pool was never crowded. Gym equipment was of a decent standard and was also large enough for several people to use. So often at hotel gyms there is only 1 treadmill, 1 bike etc - thankfully here there were several of each so no waiting to work off the excesses of an all inclusive stay! Definitely a place to go for some quality R&R.

The hotel grounds and pool areas are lovely, lots of space and sun loungers. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bedrooms were dated, air conditioning didn’t work in our room and neither did wifi. However work is being done on rooms now.

The property sits near a lovely marina with nice places to eat and some shops. We have stayed at Costa Colero several times prior to covid .. we found the property tired and in need of some basic upgrades.

Le informamos que 3 de las 4 piscinas, incluida la de niños, se encuentran climatizadas en el invierno, desde noviembre hasta abril incluido. La temperatura oscila entre los 21 y los 24 grados. The internet is slow it is unusable in the room - meant I could not get any work done - nice garden. Good for a holiday maybe, but if you need the internet this is not a good place. I told them but they didn't seem to think it was very important to have internet.... :-(

It was fine, nothing special, used the spa also was ok, biggest problem was there is no wifi except if your sitting in reception, so if you want a holiday where you gave wifi don’t go to this hotel. They kept saying they will reset the routers as an excuse.

Good hotel, but busy and very noisy at times.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were all excellent and very professional and Covid measures were in place. Our room was decorated to a high standard and we had a great south facing view. We enjoyed the spa and visited twice and thought it was good value for money. The food was very good, plenty of it too, but we did find the dining extremely busy whatever time we visited. Not sure why people have to dash around plus filling their plates up so high - there was plenty to go around and you could go back and have more if you needed to. The main thing we did not enjoy was the very loud music which was played periodically outside by the pools. It was so annoying and completely unnecessary. Please stop as this is not a 18-30 holiday hotel.

Not 4*… has it ever been?
Marketed as 4star but can only be described as 3star at best. Refurbished rooms are okay, if you get one (we had to complain about the state of the non refurbished room and lack of sea view, despite it being described as such, before we were offered an upgrade). Food and dining facilities very poor. Bar and pool areas feeling very dated and tired. The whole place and service that goes with it needs an upgrade, not just rooms.

Fabulous hotel, fantastic sea view
Fabulous hotel, staff are very helpful, lots of choice for pool and sunbathing areas. Rooms very clean, well appointed.. We stayed in a Select room (upgraded rooms)..would recommend. The sea view is just amazing from the balcony. Peurto Calero just a short walk down the hill.

The place to stay in lanzarote!
What an amazing hotel to venture to after lockdown. Staff are so friendly, nothing is too much bother for them. The hotel spreads over a large area. Theres a space for everone near the many pools. We chose an area under the palm trees. And a trip to the spa every day was the perfect way to wind down. Thanks to all the staff for wonderful food, spotless facilties and a smile for all.

Los empleados eran agradables y el trato fue muy bueno , nos dejaron entrar mucho antes de la hora prevista y disfrutamos de una comida más con el todo incluido ya que al día siguiente dejas la habitación a las 12 pm , pero te puedes quedar en el hotel hasta las 18:00 disfrutando de las piscinas, por esta parte fue genial , pero he de decir que la thalasso nos decepcionó , la mayoría de los chorros le dabas y no funcionaban , y lo peor es que las aguas olían fatal, en la sauna la madera estaba podrida y olía a moho muchisimo , conclusión la thalasso no la recomiendo , tampoco la piscina de agua salada , tiene una cantidad de sal exagerada , las otras dos piscinas de agua dulce están muy bien , sobre todo la de arriba . Y por último la comida es muy poco variada y las salsas o platos ya preparados están regular. Para concluir : Lo mejor del hotel la amabilidad de recepcionistas y la mayoría de los camareros y el hecho de que permitan la salida a las 18:00 al cierre de las piscinas

En primer lugar nos gustaría informarle que, tanto la piscina de agua salada como la piscina de nuestro centro de Thalasso & Spa, tienen agua de mar, por lo tanto, son saladas. Con respecto a su comentario de que la mayoría de los chorros no funcionaban, le informamos que todos funcionan perfectamente, lo que no se ponen en funcionamiento de inmediato. Lamentamos no haber cumplido con sus expectativas culinarias. Siempre en nuestros buffetts intentamos cumplir con todo los gustos.
