Very Bad strong smell
Immediately I could tell that the hotel was older and had seen better days, but I am not too picky so I figured I can't be that bad. The lobby and halls had a strong smell, I'd hoped the room would be better. It was not. Although the room was non-smoking, it had a thick stale cigarette smell that I just couldn't get over. It was hard to breath. I went to open up the window to try to air it out, found that our window was on the level with the parking lot and had no screen. And it really did nothing to improve the air in the room. It was late, so I tried to just go to sleep. I kept waking up and finally at 3:30am, unable to sleep I decided that I couldn't stay there my second night. I couldn't bare to be there another moment. I got up, took a shower and gathered my things. I went to check out. The gentleman behind the counter was apologetic and nice, but said that he was new and had to check with the manager about my second night. Next day I get an email, that because I did not cancel my reservation 24 hours in advance i would still be charged for the second night.

At this time im still trying to get refunded as i checked in then immediately checked out. Should of knew by just the room key on how it looked. However room was not to my liking & had bugs in it. Haven't been able to contact them as they told me to call in a.m to get refunded after speaking to 3rd party i booked through. Said it should be no problem with being refunded however they are hard to get a hold of. I ended up having to sleep in my vehicle for the night due to all this so just overall very disappointed

The Workers and managers charged me $35 for a dirty towel, but yet in their receipt/contract it doesn’t state or show that I would have to pay for dirty towels that I cleaned up water spilled on their carpets. Just say no!
If you are looking for a clean place to sleep, this is not it! The check-in clerk was extremely pleasant and helpful and our room was quiet enough for sleep. Those are the only good things about this hotel. The floors in the room looked like they hadn't been vacuumed or swept for several days. There were several long hairs on the bathroom floor and there was no soap. The top covers of the bed had several fresh stains. The sheets had set in stains and several holes. We were charged a $35 deposit at check-in but then had to pay $10 for a missing third towel that was never in the room in the first place. The "light breakfast" was a cup of coffee. In hindsight, we should've just paid the extra $45 to stay somewhere else.

It was a great value for the price. Staff was friendly and the room was quiet and clean. I forgot my drivers license at the counter at check in and they secured it until i cam back to get it.....perfect......friendly and honest. :-)

Location is very convenient, very close to NMSU where we need to be. Our room was not well kept, AC not working, fridge and micro could not be plugged anywhere. We had to be changed to another room which I must say was a completely different experience. Reception staff on the night was useless, however kudos to the morning staff and maintenance guy for helping out next morning.

Checked in. No towels of any kind in room. frozen beer in trash. Bathroom not cleaned; hair in tub drain. Breakfast was sad. Arrived at 9 and hostess refused to make more coffee because it was close to closing. Sunday, we had choice of waffles or cold cereal. There was no milk for the cereal and I dont eat waffles. Orange juice also out both Saturday and sunday.

The lobby smelled like weed. The clerks were friendly but definitely high. The room was filthy! There was a hairball in our bed, the floor was stained, the sheets were stained and not cleaned. The walls were smudged. Looked like it potentially had bed bugs. We ended up just leaving and not even staying the night there. Got a room across the street at holiday inn express.

Our receptionist was amazing, very friendly and even recommended a local restaurant - Thank you for that. We picked a smoking room so we expected for there to be a an odor, but our room smelled like urine. We couldn't tell if the smell was coming from the carpet or the beds. Our door did not have a security lock on it.
