'10/10 recommend! Phyllis was an excellent hostess. Most of our time in the cottage was spent in the sunroom facing the ocean and the light house. Absolutely stunning views of the sunrise. The cottage backs up to Fox’s lobster house which concerned us at first. The crowd is low key and it closes early so it worked out. Highly recommend the lobster roll and blueberry pie at Fox’s! I enjoyed 4-5 mile runs each morning with a fantastic route through the neighborhood to long sands beach. This place...

'Our son and granddaughter live in Dover so we always find a place to stay so we can visit. This was one of our favorites. Right on bear lake beautiful sunsets the water was warm enough to swim. There was kayaks there to use. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, dishes,seasoning. We had a great time. Just be careful driving in the road is pretty rough.'

'Was nice, but think they could have more updated furniture/ essentials. Have to bring your own linen, cheap 4 cup Mr. Coffee pot, have to bring own toilet paper and no washes/ shampoos etc provided. Think the listing needs to say this.'

'Loved this place. Very clean and tidy cottage and a very close walk to restaurants and stores. Also the owners are nearby and available. I definitely recommend staying here. It was a quiet neighborhood too.'

'Beautiful location with outstanding views. There are lovely outdoor seating options that include a fire pit. Indoors the seating is very limited. The configuration is different than the photo shown.There is now a black leather couch with a large matching ottoman blocking it that makes it a difficult to maneuver around. It wasn't a good match for two elderly people. There were no other chairs in the very small sitting room for a 3rd or 4th adult. This unit seems best suited for 2 adults only.'

'I’ve been visiting York for the past fifteen years, and have stayed in a number of rentals. I don’t think I’ll ever find a better location than this house. The proximity to short sands and downtown is ideal, especially for those with kids. The owners were delightful and responsive. I have nothing but good things to say about our stay!'

"kamer stonk naar leek wel zweetvoeten en het behang kwam van de muur. De toiletpot zat los zodat je erg voorzichtig moest doen. Bij het ontbijt werd pas op het eind de jus de orange bijgevuld nadat heel veel mensen hadden misgegrepen. Ik ga graag naar een Best Western hotel maar dit was gewoon slecht en ik was blij dat we maar 1 nacht hier waren"
