'Wonderful cottage in a quiet neighborhood on a nice little lake. It is a great setting and was perfect for us to decompress after spending holiday festivities with family. 'I was drawn to this home’s photos. Staying here was an enjoyable change from staying at a hotel. When I arrived, Fiona provided a warm welcome, quick tour and introduction to the home’s features. Some highlights were: Norwegian furniture, high end kitchen appliances, large smart TVs, sauna and electric bending beds! 'We find that renting a house is more economical and comfortable than staying at hotels, and this property did not disappoint. We can for a college graduation, and were able to have a small gathering of friends and family after the graduation. Plenty of space in the house and out in the spacious yard for people to spread out and socialize. Lovely, quiet, comfortable, close to Boston and Waltham.'

'A sweet home with amazing views and access to the lake. The hosts thought of all the things we would need and had a well stocked home. There were plenty of towels, dishes, and games to use. There were spaces to relax and enjoy both inside and out. The yard felt very private even though other people were next door. We had eight people in our group and though I wouldn’t describe the house as large, it did not feel small for our group. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return!'

The backyard was perfect for play and the house was super comfortable. We stayed for a week and we loved how easy it was to get to Whole Foods, Target, and Trader Joe’s. 'We were visiting relatives and found Hickory Hill a really wonderful place to stay, both comfortable and pleasant. It is a working kennel so there were occasional barks but was very quiet at night- you can see both sunrise and sunset from the deck. The area has dark skies so the stars are really clear ... big improvement for us city folks. Very glad they board people in addition to pups! :)'

"Great place to stop if you're looking to be close to the tri-state area, going to Boston or just road-tripping. The staff were exceptionally kind and offered a microwave as an amenity when we needed one to heat up our leftover food. They even came to bring it. Housekeeping was thorough and rooms smelled clean. I have a high standard for cleanliness, and I am sad to say that the motel is showing its age a bit. Particularly the area around the toilet is rusty and has a lot of icky places, and there's rust on much of the metal surface areas. But that's to be expected. Overall a good stay. "
