Nice View, very noisy room.
This hotel has a very nice view over the mountains. The room is big enough for 2 people and a child. The charge normally for a baby bed. Our room was close to an elevator, you could hear that very well in the room. There was a fan somewhere switching on and off, which we could hear also very well. Luckily it was not between 12 and 6am. It was not very crowded during our stay, so I can imagine the noise lever will be much more during high season. The room was also very cold during our stay, as the heating was not switched on. So it was a good stay for 1 night during low season, but stay away or take another room during high season.

I hope from you more consideration as i accept you in my hotel without extra for your children. I set up a full baby bed without any charge considering you didn't know. You did not discover my hotel because you did not have any service in it: no breakfast, no dinner, no drink. This is a familyrun business and on tuesday evening it's very quite. My elevator is a new generation no noise and the fan you here com e from your bathroom. No light in bathroom = no fan. Next time make reservation and declare every host. If you are 3 persons don't book for 2 persons. If you need a no-economic room not next to the lift book a more expensive bigger room. If you are too poor for this you can choose a 1 or 2 stars Hotel, maybe they do better price. This one you paid 72 €. Work respect is loosing down in this world.

niks mis mee
Voor weinig geld kreeg ik een zgn. backpackersroom. En die was erg eenvoudig. Geen badkamer en wc overigens, maar die kon gemeenschappelijk bij het zwembad gebruikt worden en dat vond ik voor de prijs alleszins aanvaardbaar aangezien ik voordien in een tent sliep. Dan is alles al gauw beter. Geen klachten dus.

Wonderful Hotel
This is a lovely hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean - cleaned every day by their wonderful team. Really good breakfast. Great location - 1 minute walk to the bus stop or 10 minute walk to the shops/restaurants. Convenient boot room for ski storage and a wonderful swimming pool. The staff cannot do enough for you - so friendly and helpful. We have stayed here 3 times now and would highly recommend The Chris-Tal.

J aurais aimé rester plus longtemps!
Une courte nuit car arrivés très tard mais ayant averti l hôtel qui nous a donné toutes les consignes pour entrer . L accueil au petit déjeuner est très chaleureux , la chambre grande jolie confortable propre et avec balcon. Une piscine attend les nageurs ! Je garde cette adresse et la recommande

Nous avons passé un week-end excellent. Un accueil professionnel avec un service tres correct. Personnels a l'écoute. Salle de jeux pour les enfants. Nous avons également pu profiter de la piscine entre nous en privatisant. Franchement tres bon moment passé dans cet établissement.

Excellent stay at the Cris-tal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cannot understand reviews that refer to poor welcome, it was excellent. Breakfast was very good value, had better but for price it was very good. Bar area very pleadant. Loved the location in Les Houches..

Posizione perfetta x raggiungere le piste, o visitare semplicemente Chamonix. Camera quadrupla standard abbastanza confortevole, bellissima vista sulle montagne, terrazza con poltroncine. Angolo cottura attrezzato, anche con lavastoviglie, ma stoviglie un po' datate. Massima pulizia ovunque. Sala giochi utile per rilassarsi la sera. Presente anche piccolo parcheggio al chiuso, a pagamento. Fermata bus, supermarket e pista per principianti praticamente davanti all'Hotel. Nel complesso, molto soddisfatti.

Un buen alojamiento para disfrutar del Valle
Una experiencia muy buena. El alojamiento ideal para visitar el Valle. Con la targeta de huesped transporte gratuito. La habitación excelente con una vista impresionante de las montañas. Dos terrazas y bien insonorizada,con persianas Parking en el hotel perfecto y desayuno correcto aunque un poco caro. Wifi regular.

Nous avions réservé une "chambre standard double ou avec lit jumeaux" indiquée comme possédant une "Climatisation réglable dans la chambre", ce derniere critère étant celui qui avait déterminé notre choix pour cet hôtel. En ce debut juillet, il faisait très chaud (même aux Houches) et la chambre, (au dernier étage) orientée à l'ouest avait nettement bénéficié des derniers rayons du soleil. Au moment de se coucher nous avons réalisé qu'il n'y avait pas de climatisation. On nous avait d'ailleurs attribué une chambre avec cuisine et après verification sur le site hotels.com, ces chambres ont aussi une climatisation. Nous avons donc ouvert la fenêtre (l'air devient vite frais la nuit à 1000m), mais le bruit de l'autoroute qui est à peine audible avec les fenêtres fermées, devient insupportable une fois qu'elles sont ouvertes. Au sujet du parking, nous nous sommes garés devant le restaurant de l'hôtel et il semble être le seul parking gratuit disponible (quelques places). L'hotel indique d'ailleurs la possibilité d'utiliser un parking couvert payant sur une affiche à la reception. Donc, verifier l'existence de la climatisation et de la taille du parking gratuit. Par ailleurs cet hôtel est très correct, l'accueil bien que bref, a été cordial, et il est bien situé hors de la foule de Chamonix.

Pleasant hotel in Les Hooches
We booked the hotel as we were looking to be near beginners ski area. As it turned out we landed right on the doorstep of everything we needed. Ski and boot hire next door and beginners slope pretty much opposite the hotel with a €12 charge for use of the 2 lifts. Excellent for kids and beginners. A free bus runs every 30 mins to Chamonix which takes about 15 minutes. Hotel and staff were pleasant. Swimming pool small but nice and informal. Sauna also available but we didn’t get chance to use it unfortunately. Breakfast was pretty standard with the normal continental style available for €11. I would definitely use this hotel again if I return to the area.

Good value hotel
One has to prepare for thw French attitude and it takes some time to convince the staff speaking English. That being said they helped me getting to my next destination since there were no taxies and were in general very kind. The rooms were older but charming with everything you need and quite large with a little balcony.

Good location been here before in February, since then the lift passes for a family have gone up £100, drinks are £9 a beer, on the mountain burger and chips is £25, a plate of chips £12, a beer £11, got to expensive will not be coming back and other people I spoke to said the same. Excellent holiday its a shame the French are getting to greedy.

Reasonable option if you have no better choice
A reasonable, middle-of-the-road establishment with sauna and small pool. My economy single was in the basement, and the shared facilities through several doors near and in the sauna on the same level. Reception could have been warmer and more informative (but then I was not important because I had only a cheap single room).

Nice launch-point for tour du mont blanc
A little dated, but still decent facilities. Wifi doesn't reach well into the rooms, so you have to be in or near the hallway to use it. They were minimally staffed for diner (one person doing a lot of work), so service was a little slow. Still a good value and well positioned for tour du mont blanc. Basically right across the bridge from the train station.

Nice hotel, friendly staff.
Really nice size family room with a separate bedroom. Dinner not being available until 7pm is a bit awkward when traveling with kids. Breakfast was good but a little pricey. Overall, a pleasant stay.

The conditions of the fare was not clear during the reservation in the website hoteis.com. When I arrived the hotel, they offered a room without a bathroom saying that the fare I have payed did not include a room with bath.

Accueil sympa, de bons conseils et toutes les indications utiles pour passer un bon week-end; beaucoup de possibilités en famille : piscine, jeux, salle de convivialité... les chambres sont spacieuses et très claires, petit déjeuner correct et le restaurant bien aussi.

La camera era priva di ogni confort.Non un bagno,un lavabo o toilette.Alla mie rimostranze mi è stato detto che avevo prenotato una camera economy,ma non era scritto che la camera era nel sotterraneo,senza servizi in camera e che gli stessi erano su un altro piano.Non c'era neanche un armadio.Arredo anni 60'e pulizia molto scarsa.Alla fine ho chiesto una camera con servizi alla modica aggiunta di € 60.00 senza poter usufruire della colazione.Da evitare assolutamente.In seguito se volete vi invio foto.

Great hotel. Had a room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Had 2 sleeping rooms, bathroom with bath and separate WC. Balcony. Very near to bus stop to slopes. Helpful and friendly staff

An intimist hotel, in Les Houches Village
The hotel was very nice and well located in Les houches village, so 12 km roughly from chamonix. The bathroom was terrific and toilet separtaed, very pleasant when you travel in family. The bath lacks a shower holder, though. The TV antenna was for any reason unplugged, so we had to put it back. The bed however was lacking a good and firm couch. We travelled as a couple + 1 kid, and the bedroom was designed with three single beds, 2 hold together for us. It would be great to get queen or double bed, at least, for a couple. We however recommend it, it is ideally located apart from the crowd in Chamonix, and the village of Les houches is rather nice.
