Verouderd hotel met gebreken.
Op de foto's ziet het er leuk uit. Maar wij hadden een heel klein kamertje met gebreken. Maar een oud bureautje met 1 stoel, geen knappe kledingkast en geen bedlamp. We konden ook niet uit het raam kijken vanwege bewerkt glas.

Oud en klein
Ondanks de vroegtijdige melding dat één van de gasten een rolstoelgebruiker was, kregen we een hele kleine kamer toegewezen waar je bijna geen ruimte om het bed had. Ook de badkamer was klein en had alleen een bad. Er was geen mogelijkheid tot ruilen van kamer. Het ontbijt was redelijk, maar geen $7,50 waard. Algehele hygiene was niet optimaal, bloedhete oude kamers. Geen aanrader.

Boek niet minder dan een Executive Double Room
Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt werd benede geserveerd, hie is ook de bar. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en erg lekker. Parkeren achter het hotel is goed te doen, echter iets verderop in de straat, richting het centrum is een overdekte parkeerplaats waar je voor 8 pond per nacht kunt parkeren, je kunt echter laat in de avond en in de nacht niet de garage in of uit, dan is de garage gesloten. Het hotel is volgens mij niet zo lang geleden overgenomen door Hallmark hotels. Hiervoor was dit van Best Western en Feathers. Hierdoor zijn de kamer erg gedateerd. Ben van Hallmark hotels moderne kamer gewent echter waren deze erg muf, gehorig en gedateerd. Wij hadden een Executive Double Room en vonden deze al aardig krap, kan me niet voorstellen hoe klein de Standard rooms zullen zijn. Hierom raad ik het hotel niet snel aan en als iemand al gaat, boek dan een Executive kamer.

Foto's misleidend
Kamers zijn zeer klein vergeleken met de foto's. Hangt een oud sfeertje! Koud en warm kranen zijn gescheiden. Pluspunt gratis wifi maar kan de wifi niet overal ontvangen. Klagen helpt niet. Ze doen er niks aan en nemen niet eens de moeite om te kijken er naar.

Good hotel near city centre.
The room was clean average size. The wifi was said to be fast, but when I used an app on my phone to test it, I only got a speed of 4.88Mb/sec, which is slow but sufficient for most uses. I use this place as my go to hotel for when I attend concerts at the Philharmonic Hall, which is just 5 minutes away. Breakfast is self service, with a good range of selections, and is optional, as the city centre is a short walk away.

A series of unfortunate events!
Only one member of staff on reception so was having to queue for a while at check in or when requesting a taxi. Hotel (half the street) had a power cut from 10pm til 2.30am. No emergency lighting in my room. Had to sit in the bar, which was freezing. Hotel offered no compensation for this. Upon arrival we were informed that the car park was full and spent half an hour trying to pay for on street parking, which offers a max of 2 hrs. When we got in the room we saw the car park had two spaces which were blocked by other inconsiderate hotel guests. The room was lovely, although we requested a twin and was given a double. Didnt stay for breakfast due to the parking situation. A very rare best friend getaway soured by a series of unfortunate events.

After a 12-hour flight and then a 2-hour train journey, I arrived at the hotel only to be told that they didn’t have a room for me as they were undergoing renovation of their property. They told me to go to another hotel where they had made arrangements for me. So this review is not really about this property as I had to move to another property. The Disapponted rating is for the uncaring attitude shown by the hotel in not informing me in advance given that I had done the booking months earlier.

Bed was really comfy. Lovely old building with tall ceilings and sash windows. Would be nice to have a blind in the bathroom as felt quite exposed in shower with light on facing large frosted window, only a minor issue. Hotel in perfect location to walk to LIPA and town centre so car can be left in hotel carpark.

Booked a twin room received a double. Luckily there was a spare room available. Unusually narrow corridors. Very stuffy. Reception staff polite professional and helpful. One lady serving at breakfast was completely unhelpful when I asked for a vegetarian option. Good location for university but expensive for what you get.

Bumped from room at last minute due to supposed plumbing leak at more central Hallmark hotel. Strange that when I popped into other hotel, no sign of plumbing or building works. Cabbie said this happens all the time.

Vert clean, great service, good location
Clean and good service from all workers. Bed and pillows werent most comfortable but good enough for a night or 2. Good location, walking distance from everywhere needed and good walking distance from lime street train station just a 5 minute walk. Staff were extremely helpful.

Good location. poor service. the room had no curtains and was small and very squeezed. Not like the pictures show. If this is a smaller room it should have been charged less.

Apologies if you found your room to be small, due to us being a Grade Two listed building we are not purpose built and therefore our rooms do vary in shape and size - this is also why we have no lift.
