Dear Val, First, I want to thank you for your feedback and your kind words. We work hard to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and because we are more than happy to welcome furry guests in our cottage we have to provide space for them as well as for their owners. Having already large 2 seater sofa bed, 2 armchairs 2 soft chairs 1 small chair plus other furniture in living room, we carefully and deliberately left enough space to comfortably fit a dog bed or beds. At Nancecliff we allow dogs of all breeds . We want to make sure that our guests with large dog (s) are able to enjoy their drink or watch a movie while their furry friends snooze at the same room with them. If we provide another big armchair we would have to compromise the room area which making it possible. We're sorry we haven't met your expectations. I hope you enjoyed your stay regardless. Dear Mark Thank you very much for your review of your recent stay at Nancecliff. I'm glad to hear you and your family enjoyed the house and your time here and very sorry that you experienced issues with the fencing. I wasn't aware you were bringing your dog - as both gardens are large and multi-tiered we do have options to fence off sections of either or both gardens, particularly if you have a particularly small or large dog. And we would have left you a doggy welcome pack that we leave for all our doggy guests!!!We do advertise as dog friendly with a relaxed, non-stuffy policy to where your dog can and can't go, but this isn't meant to imply we have a kennel setup with a secure facility. That said, we want to improve and are keen on hearing your suggestions and valuable feedback and are already working to improve the fencing. Thank you. Madeleine
