Exploring Ludington
We enjoyed our stay. The home is very interesting with some vintage decor. It is in a beautiful setting a few blocks to the beach & the marina. My husband liked watching the Badger come in from WI. I loved walking the neighborhood. All of the crab trees were in bloom-so pretty! Hope to be back.

Great Location
This property is ideally located within the city. It was an easy walk to downtown, the city marina, and the city beach and park. The lower part of Dock House is definitely themed for the lake and contained everything we needed. It was just two of us, and although it contained beds for 5, we think it would seem small unless kids made up some of that number. We cooked for most of our meals and there were pots, pans, utensils, and dishes for everything we made. We hope to be back!

Perfect!
Our family of 5 stayed at The Dock House for 3 nights while in town for a wedding. Had everything we needed for our stay. Loved walking the dog by the marina or along the shore where we could see the lighthouse. Walking distance to great food and shops as well. This house has old charm, but still provides the needed conveniences. Would stay again for sure. Great communication- from my inquiry prior to booking our stay, through our departure. Had a little hiccup with access upon arrival and Brian was on top of it right away. Thanks for a great experience! Hope to see you again in the future.

The Dock House

Very clean and great location. Familiar with property and noted that is becoming a bit dated. Also there was no cooking basics such as salt/pepper oil etc for preparing meals. Ate out little more than usual for our stays at vaca rentals. Always fun to visit Ludington and the location cannot be any better

Loved the Dockhouse and Ludington
This place is a charmer, good space and decor, the porch is great all day. Had coffee with the deer and rabbits across the street every morning and evening. The location is perfect for the beach and ferry watching, short walk to both and the park. Good job Brian. and thank you.

Wonderful house with great location
Wonderful house in a great neighborhood. Great location with easy walk to beach and downtown. And we were able to see and hear the Badger go out and come in daily which my kids loved. Already discussing next years vacation. And the booking process was simple.

The view and location = 5 STARS!
We initially intended to head out of town to ride ATV trails but found the house so comfortable and convenient we spent more time in town than planned. Watched the parade from a block away and fireworks from the front porch. Was blessed with enough space for a couple games of cards with friends as we waited for the fireworks. Would recommend and may rent again.

The location was great, we could walk to the beach, the downtown, the marina, all within 4 blocks or so from the house. We love historic houses like this, & it had about anything you might need to prepare a meal or cook on the grill, just bring your food.

Great Location.
The words 'casually elegant' seem to best describe the Dock House - a blend of old and new, period pieces with modern touches. The house was Clean, Comfortable and Close to everything - the waterfront, the downtown area and, most important, the ice cream shop! Thanks to Brian and all who were a part of making our stay in Ludington so enjoyable.

Great location
I bought a fishing charter for my husband’s bday. with our sons and his best friend. This property was perfectly located by the harbor. They were able to walk to town and go fishing on the pier. They loved the screened in porch. Wonderful stay!

Location and Character!
This home was perfect for our family, including kids and dogs! The house was clean upon arrival, had great character and was perfectly located within walking distance to the marina, beach, and downtown. We loved every minute of our stay!

This was a perfect location for us--close to the marina, pier, and downtown. The house needed a little bit of work, but the owner confirmed that he would give those areas attention. This is not a fancy house by any means, but it was comfortable, clean, and worked well for us. The outdoor porch was a big bonus too--we sat out there every evening!

The location of the house was perfect. We could walk to the beach, the park near city Marina, we Could walk into town. we had family come in on the badger and could walk to the house from the badger. The large front porch was our families favorite place to hang out and enjoy each other’s company! We rented both the main house in the upstairs. That worked out perfect for the amount of people we had.

Perfect Beach Vacation
The dock house is perfect for a beach vacation. We had five adults and fit well. Everything is an easy walk away (beach, the Badger, House of Flavors, shops) and the house itself has great character and good amount of space and every amenity we needed.. Our only suggestion would be to make the second shower head fixed rather than loose like it is. Already planning to return in future years.

Ludington Love
The Dock House is exactly in the middle of everything you need in Ludington. The James Street restaurants are a short walk to the east and the wonderful Lake Michigan beach is a short walk to the west. Huge family playground near the marina. Plus.... the best view of the SS Badger just a few steps across the street.

It was a little expensive but the location was good.
Spent more than I wanted to. I only needed 2 nights, but had to rent 3. Not happy about having to spend the extra money because I have a dog.

Nice family space
This is a spacious home, good for a family. Location is really nice, as you can walk to the beach, the boat dock and to downtown, where there are lots of shops, restaurants and grocery stores (even a great healthy food store). The host was great, communication was excellent, we had questions about Netflix and Brian got back to us right away. The front porch was awesome, we spent a lot of time there in the evenings and had coffee on the lovely deck, early morning. Love all the breeze and trees here. The second bedroom, with the bunk beds and double bed has a door which we could not close, so not much privacy here. Overall, this is a lovely home, great location and an attentive host. Great location in Michigan, too, an easy drive to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Glen Arbor for a day trip. Enjoy your stay!!

Wonderful stay at the Dock House
The Dock House was the perfect fit for our family. Plenty of room for everyone to stretch out and be comfortable. The property was extremely clean and the décor made it feel like a home. All the included amenities were such a nice surprise. The porch was our favorite spot. We enjoyed many of our meals together there while watching the activity on Loomis Street and the boats entering and exiting the marina. Easy walking distance to the beach was a plus for our entire family. Brian was a pleasure to work with and made a point to make sure our stay was going well. Would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic Ludington Location
The Dock House is a perfect place to stay when enjoying beautiful Ludington, Michigan. The house is very welcoming and has everything you could need. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the boats from the Marina and walked to the beach everyday. Easy walk to restaurants, shopping and ice cream!
