Greatest of guests I do apologise about the internet. To be honest its a nightmare in Egypt keeping any internet at all and that particular room often has problems. We all enjoyed your lively company and thanks for choosing us and for the review

Yes and nobody informed me of the hot water situationuntil it was too late. The sun is not strong enough now to heat the whole hottel by solar and I have had to switch partially to electric. I wish you had complained immediately and I could have fixed that wiyj a flick of a switch. Otherwise glad you enjoyed your stay and the food and that you took time to write a review. Fantastic Greg thanks, We have an indoor restaurant opening on 3rd Dec. Should have been 1st but usual delays. We are also building a 2nd indoor restaurant on the Nile.Kettles are no unfortunately due to wood and antiques. Otherwise I think we fulfilled your requirements and thank you so much

good that you liked the place but strange you did not like the breakfast as many peopledo.It is just an Egyptian breakfast plus eggs and cereal so not quite sure what you were expecting. Small hotels cannot do buffet if the food is to be fresh.Thanks forpointing it out though and thanks for the review

You can drink of course but the law prohibits sales.Not sure a bar would be that great as taxes increase on licensed hotels. Glad the hosting was good.Thanks for staying with us

What a lovely review. Thank you so much. No need to bring your own hairdryer we have plenty in the reception (as stated in guest information). Unfortunately you cannot use irons in the rooms because of all the wood and some previous guests have done quite some damage with irons and we have a very good ironing service. you left a plastic bag which looked like sweets and 2 empty medicine bottles and 1 bottle with 2 pills in it. Sorry about the 2 pills. There are some mosquitoes on the Nile of course but from the many reviews we receive we are doing a good job at keeping them at bay. It was not your type of hotel at all as I think you needed to be in the city as the few hours from checking in to checking out you spent in the town. Good luck at finding the right hotel for you next time

Sapphire room is one of the least expensive rooms because there is a small dome making the Nile view less open, The Nile view is still there though. The pigeon poop is NOT in the lobby as birds cannot get in there. Maybe you are referring to the external corridor to your room as part of the lobby and birds are definitely a problem there. As for the menu it changes daily and as you can read from our many reviews it is well liked by the majority of guests. We do wraps (not sandwiches) and lots of salads and small items such as tart or savoury panna cotta and crostini. I was unaware anyone referred to me as the queen. That will have to stop. I think it usual on check out for the reception to ask if you took anything from the mini bar. I think every hotel I have ever stayed in asks that as sometimes guests(especially early in the morning) want a quick check out and we go on trust rather than have the guest wait for housekeeping to do the final check Mini bar is checked daily so its just the last check out reception asks about. Finally as a small hotel we do exchange money but we do not have a separate cashier so we do not like to hold so much money in reception. As I am here all the time I don't think that is a problem. If you check out very early though that could be a problem.but there are many exchange places close by . Glad you enjoyed breakfast and some other things in the hotel too.

the toilet problem was not reported by the housekeeping so we were unaware of it and hence late fixing it. This was unacceptable I agree.The water was definitely in the room all 3 days as we balnce all with the stock and would have noticed it. Reception assure me this was not reported on check out either. I think more fruit is available at breakfast but not made clear by the waiters. Thanks for letting me know about that because that is easily fixed.I will now investigate the delay in fixing the toilet
