Keurig hotel midden in het centrum. Prima uitvalsbasis naar alle bezienswaardigheden en mooie plekken in Madrid. Metro om de hoek. Ontbijt redelijk. En zoals bij bijna elk hotel hopeloos botte messen.

Fijn on het centrum en toch niet al te druk
Het hotel zag er goed uit, ze waren wel aan het renoveren een kamer naast me. Op de gang had men papier geplakt voor de renovering was wel netjes gedaan. Kon wel pas laat op de kamer terecht was er nog mee bezig, was toch al 17:00 geweest, maar verder prima.

Negatief: Staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
geen 4 sterren waard!
Het hotel is aan vernieuwing toe. Wij hadden een kamer voor 3 personen. Er stonden 2 1-persoonsbedden en het 3 de bed was een zetelbed. De matrassen waren barslecht voor de rug. Er is constant lawaai te horen in de kamer (nacht + morgend). De muren lijken wel te bestaan uit karton! ISOLEREN moeten ze hier doen, want ze weten dat ze in een drukkere straat zitten van het centrum, maar toch verhelpen ze dit niet. De eetplaats is niet aantrekkelijk, ze is verborgen in de kelder, terwijl ze bovenaan op het gelijksvloers wel een mooiere ruimte hebben + terras wat ze beter aan de hotelgasten kunnen aanbieden voor het ontbijt te benutten. De bar was gesloten (voor vernieuwing), maar dit is niet vernoemd geweest tijdens ons verblijf. Ontbijt is sober, niet veel keuze. Eieren hadden een groene schijn. Er zijn geen koffiekoeken beschikbaar, enkel harde kleine broodjes en toastbrood (met enkel 1 toaster voor heel de zaal). Het personeel aan de receptie zou meer uitleg mogen geven bij het inchecken over de stad en een plannetje mogen meegeven. Een extra is dat er taxi's staan buiten om de hoek.

Aangenaam hotel met zéér vriendelijk en gastgericht personeel. Mooie kamers, vooral de badkamer was erg mooi. De ligging is heel fijn, dichtbij het koninklijk paleis (zeker een bezoekje waard!) en dichtbij winkels, restaurantjes en OV-mogelijkheden. Ik zou dit hotel zeker aanbevelen en nogmaals boeken als ik Madrid nog eens een bezoekje breng.

Stayed 2 nights at Hotel Ópera in Madrid. It is in a very convenient location near the Royal Palace of Madrid and Opera House, along with many other tourist attractions. The first night they gave us a bigger room (room 903) on the top floor. It had a great city view and palace view. However, this room had a broken air conditioning system. I ended up opening the casement windows on the slanted roof/wall to get cool air at night. Also the shower door was too wide it couldn't open all the way if swing inward or bump the toilet when swing outward. Otherwise this room would've been a cute room for kids with 3 beds. The staff was nice enough and relocate us to a different room on the second night with complimentary breakfast. The relocated room had no problem. Due to the location, you can hear the street and crowd noise at night. It is one of the less expensive hotel around this area; but you get what you paid for.

Loved the location Very walkable The restaurant is awesome outside seating so enjoyable The Opera dinner show on Saturday a must !!! Don't speak the language it still was the best !!! Hotel Ópera is literally across the street from the Madrid Royal Opera and Royal Palace and is ideally located close to many of Madrid’s iconic landmarks. The hotel restaurant serves scrumptious local cuisine and has beverages for every taste. However, the BEST THING about staying at Hotel Ópera is its AMAZING weekly opera/Zarzuela dinner show with world class opera singers and musicians. You will enjoy this show even if you are not an opera buff or if you don’t speak Spanish. You will not be disappointed by this diamond of a show in this gem of a hotel in Madrid’s historic “centro” or downtown.

Great stay other than the spiders in the room. There were bugs in my room. I was very disappointed in that. I also thought I was getting a jacuzzi and a tub, not a jacuzzi-tub. The price was too much for what you get.

Clean rooms with great views of the city. The restaurant at the hotel had great food and coffee. The location was very walkable to the Royal Palace, shopping and dining options. Quick access to Uber as well. It also had a nice fitness center to enjoy.

This is a lovely hotel in the centre of Madrid, felt perfect location to see the city and felt safe as a female solo traveller. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly and helpful.
