Perfect vacation
This home has the best location to sit back and relax or boat out to your favorite fishing spot. Great access to either the Atlantic, gulf or Sombrero beach. Definitely our favorite location to stay in Marathon!

Great Marathon Location
This was a great property. Our family enjoyed the house - it was a convenient launching point for activities throughout the Keys. With the swimspa present, we elected to spend several days just at the house relaxing. Very clean, comfortable and well stocked.

Fabulous week in Marathon
We had a great stay at Kathy's house in Marathon. Communication was top notch from the minute we inquired about renting up until our departure. House is exactly as described. Cute (very clean) older home that fit our needs perfectly. We loved being on the canal where we saw lots of different wildlife. The guys enjoyed fishing on the canal where they caught a nurse shark, snapper and tarpon. Bonus was that the canal was very quiet with very little boat traffic. We didn't rent a boat for multiple days, but if we would have the dock would have been great for tying up a boat. Dryer decided to quit working the day before our departure (of no fault of the owner's) and within an hour she had her service guy out. By the end of the day we had a new dryer. House was great and was lacking nothing. If we are ever back in the Keys we will most definitely rent from Kathy again and look forward to our stay at Twin Dolphin.

Great stay
Me and my wife stayed for a week and overall it was very relaxing! The house was very clean and being able to relax in the backyard under the tiki hut and going in the swim spa was really enjoyable. The only downside that we had was that we didn’t know the house across the street had access to the right of the property and they could see everything we did while we were outside so it lacked privacy, just would of been nice to know that or if there was some kind of screening in between yards so you didn’t see one another.

Fabulous week in the Keys!
This was our second stay at the Twin Dolphins house, and it did not disappoint! Lovely, adorable home…has everything you need…great location. Rented a boat this year and that makes all the difference. Saw lots of wildlife, including FIVE manatees on Wednesday - three adults and two babies. Just fantastic!

Great Florida House
My girlfriend and I enjoyed staying at Twin Dolphins house for a week in January. The house is immaculately clean, the outdoor living space makes the house seem larger. I spent a lot of time on my laptop under the tiki hut next to the hot tub. It was safe and quiet, I could work out there any hour of the day or evening. The only sound was the palm trees swaying in the breeze. I very nice place.

Amazing stay in Marathon, amazing property host!
This was our first time renting a property to stay instead of a hotel. I’m so glad we did! Kathy was so amazing! She is prompt with any questions I had (and I had many!). The property was very clean and just as advertised. The swim spa was utilized every night. It is in a wonderful location next to the canal and around all types of activities and stores. You can’t go wrong booking with Kathy and the properties she has. She also has a beautiful home right across the street (so if a couple of families are going that would be perfect!). Would definitely book another stay. The only downside is I’m now back in Pa where it is cold. Thanks again for an amazing time.

Second Stay's A Charm!!
This is the second time that we stayed in this property and we continue to love it as much as the first time! This gem is perfectly situated whether you just want a great waterfront view to relax or boat access and fishing fun! We enjoyed a wonderful 5 days of the warmest and most beautiful weather that you can get in Florida at this time of the year! We also visited Sombrero Beach often, took our boat out every day to fish and cruise around, and ended every evening grilling by the tiki hut and relaxing in the hot-tub. What a lovely time all around.

Terrific Property!
We highly recommend this property. It was seriously the cleanest rental we've ever stayed in. We appreciated the very responsive and clear communications from the host - everything was completely seamless. Such a great, comfortable, well equipped home. The hot tub and tiki hut are fantastic! We also loved the kayaks and extra nice touches such as beach supplies (chairs, towels and bag), ample charging stations for devices, etc. We didn't bring our boat this time, but definitely plan to return and will likely bring a boat! Can't say enough about this terrific home.

Honeymoon stay in Marathon
Property was just as listed and Kathy was great even though we had no issues. My wife and I enjoyed every minute on our honeymoon. We brought our 19' center console boat and it had plenty of room at the dock. It was nice being able to walk out and hit the water. This house and their other property is the closest to the 33rd st public boat ramp we found and easy to navigate. Also a short boat ride to Burdines and Dockside Bar on the water. House had all amenities needed for our stay and i did read in the signing book that a renter needed a kettle and kathy bought one to provide for the guests. Swimspa was great to have especially at night to relax. Tiki hut is where we stayed mostly while eating and snacking and watching the fish and manatees come by as well as the hammock. We got out on the kayaks provided also. Plently of restaurants close by and they have a book of all menu's and suggestions that dies not disappoint. Steak and Lobster house, Keys Fishery, Key Colony Inn, Burdines, and Sunset Grille are all amazing and close by. The house is also right in the middle of keys so Islamorada and Key West are about 1 hr each way to venture off for a day trip which we did. Overall we will definitely be back and have family and friends asking about our trip and where we stayed. If you stay here you will not be disappointed.

Just about perfect
I get super sea sick so fishing charters are out for me. If you love to fish this is about perfect. Sit out back and fish all you want. Its a football field length away from the open water. Also the location is super close to 7 mile bridge which is best place to see sunrise/sunsets, Pigeon Key etc. Also close to Burdines and Castaways ,my 2 fav restaurants on the island. Kathy is super organized and easy to reach and thought of everything anyway so the home was clean welcoming and nicely decorated. We enjoyed ourselved, it was our 20th Anniversary trip but we will be back! Thanks Kathy!

One week stay
My family and I stayed one week at this property and we had an amazing vacation, we are from central Wisconsin and we love visiting the keys any chance we can. The property was very nice and clean, this property also had fun relaxing features as well as a nice place to stay. The property is right on the canal and has a very large hot tub to use witch was very relaxing, also a lot of nice sand between the canal and house witch allowed our little boy a nice play area. Also you could fish on the canal if you would like to. Overall a very nice property and my family and I had a great vacation!

10 days of BLISS!
I booked this not knowing the area at all. I saw the photos of the house and immediately knew this was going to be the perfect get away spot. I traveled from Jupiter Florida and had been to the keys before, but not in Marathon area. THe house was in wonderful shape, well equipped and clean. I appreciated the detailed communication provided between myself and the owner, very prompt and answered all of my questions quickly. Toward the end of my stay, I was having so much fun, I asked to extend a day and my request was quickly honored. I was greeted every morning with a peaceful sunrise as I sat under the tiki umbrella...a really nice touch to add to the YOU ARE ON VACATION vibe! Marathon has some wonderful little nature spots to explore and we used the place as home base to chill after our day's adventures. We didn't even get to use the kayaks, beach chairs, fish cleaning station or bulkhead, but we did get to use the grill, hammock, lounge chairs on the private beach, outdoor Tiki table and the amazing multi person jacuzzi! We thoroughly appreciated this place and would definitely consider re-booking!

My wife promised the owner that she'd not give a bad review, but I didn't make that promise!
Disappointing. We're regular Keys renters, and our experience with this property was most disappointing. The house is dirty with bug infestation and filthy linens. The owner enforces a strict no pet policy, yet the bed skirts and sofa were covered in dog hair. The bed skirts had sand, stains and pet fur all over them. There were lights out on the exterior of the home, and I got shocked when I tried to move them up to where they were originally located. Sliding glass door rollers were stuck and impossible to move. My wife reached out to the owner to be told they'd never been a problem without replacement handles being found, yet the repair person who arrived the next day had them on his truck. Kitchen is ill prepared to serve 6 folks - it was just the two of us. Second bathroom as the outdoor shower, poor at that with bare water pressure, is deceptive as a second bathroom. You can't utilize many of the home's availabilities as the owner says prior guests damaged them - awning, pool controls, AC, garage door... What are security deposits for? My wife will be upset for me posting my honesty, but I had to do so to warn other potential renters, especially those of whom are frequent Keys renters as we are.

I feel the need to let our previous 125 five star reviews be the response to your false review. I can only imagine you are seeking some kind of reimbursement for your stay. However, I will address the items that do have some legitimacy: - A strand of cafe lights in the backyard did fall and broke a couple of bulbs immediately prior to your arrival after housekeeping left. I'm not sure why you picked them up from the socket where the bulb was. I had maintenance there within minutes after you notified me to restring the lights and ensure there was no electrical hazard - which there wasn't. - The awning over the sliding glass door is for our personal use. It is not advertised in our listing so there should have been no expectation of guest use. It is easily damaged when sudden winds come up so we do not provide the remote control to guests. We have a wonderful tiki hut for outdoor shade. - The pool controls are pre-set for guests which you were notified of prior to your arrival in our detailed package. - You mentioned one of the two sliding doors was difficult to open and I had a repairman there that same day to replace the rollers and add a new handle. - Our AC system is brand new - I have no idea what you are referring to regarding its use. - We have Terminex quarterly service and have never received a comment about any bugs, including from you during your stay. Had you discovered even one insect and reported it to me, I would have had Terminex there the same day. - For the remainder of your slanderous comments, I will let all of our previous reviews speak for themselves. We pride ourselves in providing a clean, up to date, well stocked home which hundreds of families have enjoyed with excellent reviews.

Great “Old Florida” house.
We thought the property was just right. We used to have a condo (for a week) at Hawks Nest until Irma and went every Labor Day. We like the 7-mile Bridge side of the island. Our son was in Colony Bay with his fishing boat and could drive up to our house to pick us up. Our last day, two Manatee swam up to the dock and put on a little show for us, rolling on their backs. The house was clean and had the perfect set up. I took my two granddaughters out on the kayaks. They loved it. (So did I). Wonderful!

The house was nice and clean. We really enjoyed our time in the swim spa in between boat rides. For anyone bringing a large boat trailer, I would recommend you back down the street from the main road.

Paradise
What a wonderful property. It was super clean with a large parking space out front with plenty of room for our dually truck and boat trailer. Rare find! The property is exactly as described. Nestled back on a canal in Marathon. Easy access to fuel, open ocean, and 7 mile bridge. We spent the week mostly on our boat snorkeling, fishing, and scuba diving. Couldn't have asked for a better vacation!

A Wonderful week in Marathon
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kathy’s adorable house! The outdoor space on the lagoon was great and the hot tub is just awesome! A perfect place to relax at the end of the day. We enjoyed the many manatees who visited! We did not have a boat but there’s plenty of dock space. Kathy was super. She responded almost immediately to our texts and even had Chris call and talk us through reconnecting the TV when we arrived. Would highly recommend!

Great Trip
We had a great trip. The owner of the property is very responsive. I look forward to staying there another two weeks In the future. It is close to everything and you can have your boat and ample parking for your toys and trailers. I give the place five stars and 70 to 75 every day sure doesn’t hurt. .

Heavenly Get-away!
We love the Florida Keys! My husband and I are both Miamians. We live in Tampa now. So once in a while, it is nice to get back to South Florida and the Keys. This was a perfect spot! We came with our 2 children and a small boat. My husband and son went fishing every morning. They caught Barracuda and shark! I enjoyed coffee in the back yard, under the tiki and made brunch for the family. In the afternoons, we took the boat out again to explore. We came back after sunset every evening and soaked in the luscious swim spa. We ended the night with fresh grilled catch of the day. What a dream. If you own a boat - this is the perfect spot! There was easy access to various waterways, to fishing, to launch ramps, to marine gas and to get bait. The property was clean and spacious enough for the 4 of us. The host was easy to communicate with. Just lovely!

Thank you for your 5 star review! It is wonderful being on a quiet street right off US1 - but the traffic turning onto the street can be heavy at times! Nice thing is, you don't hear a sound at the house - so close and yet seems so removed!

Wonderful place to say in the Keys
We had a wonderful stay at the Twin Dolphin. Located in the middle of the Keys it's a short (~60 mins) and easy drive south to Key West and north to Key Largo. Everglades National Park was only 1 hour 45 mins drive north. It was a great starting point for exploring the keys. There are many great places to eat within mins of the house. After a great day enjoying all the Keys has to offer, we'd relax in the large heated swimming pool spa. Moring's were quiet and relaxing drinking our coffee at the tiki hut overlooking the canal planning the day's activities. Upon check-in we had a question about the house and the property owners got back to us in a matter of mins. We highly recommend this property.

Honeymoon Get Away

Absolute Heaven!
We stayed here 4 nights end of August and absolutely fell in love with the place! We are avid paddle boarders and were literally able to drop our boards right in the water out back and go. The swim spa was a great added feature that we used each night. Lots of cool wildlife and marine life can be seen here. The house was spacious and perfectly clean. We are already hoping we can return for another visit asap! Thank you for such a lovely stay :-)

Relaxing retreat
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Property was as described, very clean. Kathy was awesome and answered every question promptly. Property is within few miles of so many great eating spots. We rented a 25’ boat and had no Issues getting in/out of the canal. Would definitely rent this property again. The pool spa was great but can only be dropped to 80 degrees, no biggie, we removed the cover in the morning and by the time we got back in from the boat in the afternoon it was perfect temp and very nice in the evenings.

Great place to bring your own boat.
We brought our boat. Was a great location with easy access to great fishing. We didn't spend much time at the house during the day. Eating breakfast and dinner at the tiki hut was a highlight. Quiet relaxing location . Watching the resident iguanas and the occasional passing of manatees was an added bonus to our tiki hut meals. Would definitely live to return. Owners were easy to reach.

Relaxing Getaway
First trip to the keys and had a great stay. We didn’t leave the house much and enjoyed the spa, kayaks and cooking local seafood. When we did venture out we enjoyed some local tiki bars, a day trip to Key West and a visit to Sombrero Beach. Great place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds and close enough to everything if you want to hit the bars, restaurants and shops.
