Oog voor detail en perfecte service
Zeer gemoedelijke, prachtig gerenoveerde en onberispelijk nette riad op loopafstand van het grote plein Jema el Fna. De italiaanse eigenaar Michele doet er alles aan om zijn gasten bij te staan en te verwennen. Het dakterras is een perfecte plaats om van de late avond te genieten na een warme en drukke dag.

Das Riad liegt östlich des großen Platzes, noch in der Medina. Den Djemaa el-Fna erreicht man zu Fuß in ca. 15 - 20 Minuten oder am Abend bequem zurück mit Tuktuk oder Taxi. Das Riad ist sehr hübsch eingerichtet, nicht übertrieben kitschig orientalisch. Die Betten sind fest aber nicht hart, warmes Duschwasser immer vorhanden. Tresor und TV gibt es im Zimmer nicht. Klimaanlage bzw. Heizung aber schon. Auf der Dachterrasse befinden sich Liegestühle und eine gemütlicher Sitzecke. Das Frühstück ist umfangreich, auf Bestellung gibt es auch ein sehr gutes regionales Abendessen. (Hatten wir 2 mal, eines davon sehr reichlich vom besten Couscous mit Lamm und Gemüse weltweit. Es gibt auch sehr guten Wein). Das ganze Riad ist sauber und gepflegt in italienischer Hand. Das Team ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und kocht vorzüglich.

Super schönes Riad. Toller und aufmerksamer Gastgeber (Michele). Sehr gepflegt und sauber. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet mit Liebe zum Detail. Tolles Frühstück. Lediglich die Lage ist am Rand der Medina nicht ganz optimal - zum Hauptplatz / Zentrum sind es dann doch 20 Min Fussweg.

Fomos muito bem recebidos !Chegamos na madrugada e nos quartos já tinham biscoitos e laranjas esperando . Todo hotel é muito limpo e organizado e se ver o cuidado e atenção em cada detalhe . O café da manhã é muito farto e gostoso . Contratamos um jantar após uma visita ao deserto e foi um espetáculo! A parte super negativa da estadia , foram os passeios contratados com Moramed. O tour pela cidade:Funcinou como um motorista.Ele conduzia até os pontos históricos sem informação alguma e simplesmente deixávamos no local e marcava horário de apanhar . Não acompanhava nem explicava nada! Todos os locais de restaurantes levados por ele era de preços exorbitantes e de péssima qualidade e higiene.O segundo passeio foi a visita de 1 noite no deserto :NÃO RECOMENDO! 10 horas de viagem de carro em estrada sinuosa ,1hora e15minutos de camelo para chegar em um acampamento sem a menor estrutura. Saímos para esta aventura sem a menor informação detalhada de como seria e como deveríamos nos preparar .Pagamos por este serviço de city tour e visita ao deserto um valor bem acima do mercado e tivemos uma péssima experiência. O único ponto falho do hotel foi a indicação deste guia. Solicitamos por e-mail e nos foi indicado .Quando indicamos algo somos corresponsável com o serviço e um hotel tão primoroso e detalhista não condiz com tal serviço.

A calm and beautiful oasis of hospitality.
Marrakech hustles and bustles. There is no shortage of people seeking to take advantage of a tourist. All that ceases at the door to beautiful Riad Al Kadar. You enter and are transported. Within you find a perfect fusion of old time Moroccan style with modern European amenities. Tile and stone work are beautiful. There are roses and citrus in abundance. Rooms surround the courtyard each one spacious, well appointed with excellent bathroom and shower. Breakfasts are feasts that change a bit each day. The wonder of the Riad is your host, Michele (mee-KEH-leh) an Italian gentleman with an unsurpassed gift for hospitality. He does not know the word "no." He will fulfill your every wish. Meals, transportation, advice, but also far beyond the standard. He found us a color printed banner for a presentation and a paper shredder (don't ask). We ate in various fun Marrakech restaurants. Our best meals were prepared by Michele himself. "We don't have time to go get lunch, Michele," "don't worry" 20 minutes later we're eating a beautiful Italian pasta with bread, wine, cheese in honey, salad, snacks, the works. In Marrakech don't do anything without first asking the price. With Michele, abandon all caution and place yourself in his hands. Ask for anything, let him deliver and depend that the bill for the extras will be beyond fair and reasonable. We travel extensively and have never been treated to a higher, better yet totally affordable oasis of hospitality..

It was our first time in Marrakech with my brother. I choose this Riad because of comments on Expedia. Good decoration related to Morocco culture with italian touch (his owner is italian). Great welcome with mint tea served by a berber women. As per expedia advise us that Riad had some problems with water, they solved, and put us in three different rooms each day, this let us to know different rooms. The room in firs floor has the problem that during morning other guests stayed at the living room in front of the bedrooom talking, if you want to sleep more, that would be unconfortable. Michelle (owner) was kind, however, he could be more customer service oriented to give recommendations to first time guesses, about right prices for taxis (for example he helped us to take a taxi that charge us 50 dhr (5 euros) to go to the Medina (that was around 10 minutes walking, but in the night it's hard to find a taxi. After we find that in the villa a taxi charge 15 dhr. Other thing was that he offered us to have dinner, and we paid the more expensive dinner that we had paid in Marrakech, 20 dhr (20Euros) by person, it was beef balls with sausage, tomatoe and olives salade, orange caramelized dessert. In general we ate for 6dhr each one. My mistake was not asked him before, but I would expected to pay at most 10dhr for the dinner. Lesson learned. When you travel thinking in stay in a Riad better choose to eat on the street restaurants close to the Medina. I felt deceived

Hidden gem of Marrakesh
It was magical place. In Medina but away from the noise of Central Square. It was incredibly quite and calm place. You wanted just to stay within its walls and relax. And it wouldn't be time wasted. Service was great and food delicious. The rooms were clean and well equipped. You can find marrocan style combined with modern technology (AC) with taste and style. Truly wonderful place.

Everything with Excellence
When you arrive, you feel you just arrived at a friends place, Michelle made us feel very welcome and does everything with excellence. We have never seen such a clean hotel. Michelle also walked us to the main square in Marrakech so we wouldn't get lost, which was really helpful. Thank you again for having us :)

Beautiful interior, the renovation is faultless, with attention to period detail which gives the feeling of stepping back in time. Michele obviously loves his home and is a charming host. The breakfasts were delicious and varied, the cook (and her daughter) both very skilled and accommodating. The only problems were that, in March, it was a little chilly in the room at night, plus there is a mosque just across the street which has the most unmusical muezzin we have ever heard - and amplified! Woken up at 5 and again around 7, every morning. The location is in a pretty dumpy neighbourhood, full of mechanics' shops and dust roads. Also it is ONLY JUST inside the Medina and it's a good 45 mins walk to the Jamaa el Fna, not 15 as someone claimed. As a lot of road building was going on it's not a pretty or easy walk, either. We enjoyed our stay there but would find a place nearer the centre if we went back to Marrakech.

A beautiful and calm Riad
We had five days exploring Marrakech staying in the Riad al Kadar. It was the perfect option for us. A beautiful hotel on the edge of the Medina its ideal for those who want to stay a little bit away from the tourist bustle. Michele was our wonderful host ensuring that everything ran smoothly for our stay, providing us with recommendations for day trips and first hand tips on everything from buying spices to garden visits and endless supplies of mint tea! The Riad's food is delicious and beautifully presented. We especially liked the rooftop terrace for end of the day relaxation watching the sun set and the storks fly overhead. Cant wait for our next visit!

Beautiful Oasis in the old City
My husband, daughter, and I stayed at the Riad Al Kadar for four nights. Our host was wonderful and very accommodating. The Riad itself is very warm and beautiful. They prepared a delicious dinner for us one evening -- one of the best meals we've had. Please arrange for reliable transportation from the airport to the Riad -- ask Michele (host) to arrange for you. We can't stress that enough.

Eine Oase im Trubel der Medina
Unsere Reisegruppe (6 Personen) verbrachte 4 Nächte im Riad al Kadar und hat den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Innenhof, die Zimmer, die Dachterrasse, alles ist stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Der Besitzer, Wirt und Kellner Michele war ein perfekter Gastgeber und stets um unser Wohl besorgt. Naima, die Köchin, servierte ein köstliches Frühstück und auch das typisch marrokanische Menü am Abend war gelungen. Man kann das Riad nur empfehlen.

Sehr schönes Riad mit 5 Zimmern
Wir haben 4 Nächte im Riad Al Kadar verbracht und können dieses kleine, feine Riad wärmstens für einen Marrakesch-Aufenthalt empfehlen. Es liegt etwas abseits im Südosten aber innerhalb der Medina. Von außen mag man nicht glauben, was sich hinter der Fassade verbirgt. Nach unserer Ankunft, wir sind mit dem Taxi (200 MAD) vom Airport gekommen, wurden wir mit einem frischen "Thé à la Menthe" willkommen geheißen, das Gepäck wurde auf unsere Zimmer gebracht. Die Zimmer sind, wie in einem Riad üblich, um den Innenhof angelegt. Es gibt daher nur Fenster in den Innenhofgang. Im 1. OG sind es 4 Zimmer, im EG noch eines. Diese sind, wie das gesamte Riad, sehr liebevoll vom "Hausherrn" Michele ausgestattet worden. Die Bäder sind recht klein, reicht aber allemal für einen kurzen Aufenthalt. Es ist alles außerordentlich sauber in diesem Riad! Auf der Dachterrasse kann man herrlich faulenzen, es stehen einige Liegen bereit und man kann sich auch in einem kleinem Séparée zurückziehen. Wer sich in einer arabischen Stadt aufhält, sollte sich bewusst sein, dass der Muezzin schon am frühen Morgen die Gemeinde zum Gebet ruft. Direkt gegenüber des Riad befindet sich eine Moschee, der erste Ruf des Muezzin erfolgte zwischen 4 und 5 Uhr am Morgen. Das Frühstück ist übersichtlich, es gibt frisches Baguette, selbst gebackenen Kuchen, Früchte, Kaffee, Tee, Saft, etwas Käse, einmal gab es Wurst. Wer kein kilometerlanges Frühstücksbuffet mit allem "Pipapo" braucht, wird hier am Morgen gut versorgt.

Le riad est très agréable et Michele sait recevoir
Dommage que le riad soit un peu loin a pied du centre ( environ 15 mn). Le soir il vaut mieux prendre le taxi. La cuisinière prépare de très bons plats locaux. Le petit déjeuner est copieux et servi dans le patio. Lorsqu il fait froid (notre cas) le chauffage fait défaut, heureusement qu il y a les couvertures.

Feast for the senses in the Medina of Marrakech
Riad al Kadar is a delightful small riad in the medina of Marrakech, with 4 guest rooms arranged, in traditional style around a small courtyard. In a city of contrasts, the riad offers calm, comfort and luxury. Italian owner Michel is a model of hospitality, and nothing is too much trouble, whether its organising excursions, airport transfers, or a rendezvous with the hammam. The beauty and craftsmanship of the building and furnishings are mirrored by the delicious home-cooked food, which we would absolutely recommend. Lets just say that it wasn't enough just to eat the dishes prepared for us...we felt we had to photograph everything first too! Truly a jewel of a place- after a crazy day in the chaos of Marrakech, you will be very pleased to sink into a sofa and sip mint tea to the sound of the little fountain...

Tolles Riad nahe der Medina
Wir (Familie mit 2 Teenagern) waren das erste Mal in Marrakesch. Im Riad Al Kadar wurden wir von einem tollen Chef und seinen Mitarbeiterinnen sehr freundlich aufgenommen. Das Riad ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sehr sauber, in jeder Hinsicht komfortabel. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig, alles frisch, es blieben keine Wünsche offen. Auf Bestellung kann man am Abend ein sensationelles marokkanisches Essen geniessen, das von der Köchin Naima frisch zubereitet wird. In den Restaurants, die wir besucht haben, war das Essen nicht annähernd so gut. Vom Chef Michele kann man viele gute Tipps für Ausflüge in die nähere und weitere Umgebung bekommen, er organisiert alles.

A hidden gem
It was our first journey to Marrakesh and the reasons we liked it are also connected to the palce where we stayed. There are so many good things to say about this Riad and host that I don’t know where to start. The room is nicely equipped, the bed is comfortable, and everything is spotlessly clean and in excellent condition. Michel, the host,was happy to provide advice or useful information, such as about an excellent Hammam. If you’re looking for a charming, tranquil Riad that’s close to everything you would llike to discover, then this is just the place for you.

Sehr zu empfehlen
Das Raid liegt am Rande der Medina und ist sehr geschmackvoll renoviert worden. Es gibt nur 4 Gästezimmer und man fühlt sich direkt wie zu Hause. Der italienische Besitzer Michele kümmert sich um alles was den Aufenthalt angenehm macht, von der Abholung der Gäste am Flughafen über die hervorrangenden Abendessen bis zu dem 'the a la Menthe' zwischendurch. Alles ist mit viele Liebe und Geschmack hergerichtet. Wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit gehabt und kommen jederzeit gerne wieder. Besondere Empfehlung - das Abendessen im Riad wird von der marokanischen Köchin frisch zubereitet und besteht immer aus 3 Gängen. Besser als bei Michele und seiner Köchin kann man in Marakech wohl kaum essen - sehr zu empfehlen !!! Michele hat uns auch einen Fahrer für eine Tagestour in den Atlas vermittlet auch das können wir nur weiterempfehlen. Hat zwar auch etwas von einer 'Kaffeefahrt', aber es war auch ein beeindruckender Tag. Wir würden das Riad jederzeit wieder einem Hotelaufenthalt vorziehen. Man lernt einfach mehr von seinem Gastland kennen und man vereist ja schließlich nicht um wie zu Hause zu leben.

Wir waren für 3 Tage (4 Nächte) in Marrakesch. Es ist eine super schöne, saubere, niedliche Unterkunf mit sehr nettem Team. Leider liegt das Riad etwas außerhalb (ca 30min. zu Fuss vom Djeema el Fna). Wir haben uns nie wirklich unsicher gefühlt und sind auch zu zweit alleine (2 Frauen) abends nach Hause gelaufen.

En meget serviceminded italiensk ejer med stor sans for at betjene gæster på enhver måde. Han taler fransk, italiensk og engelsk. Personale søde og hjælpsomme og fortrinlig Marokansk mad., fra morgen til aften. Der sørges for transport til og fra lufthavn samt hvad man ellers beder om.

Riad à l'intérieur de la Médina
Surprise. Dés le seuil de la porte franchi nous somme totalement plongé dans un superbe décor marocain. La cour intérieur avec sa fontaine, les arcades qui donnent sur les chambres, la salle à manger avec ses canapés, les murs décorés de mosaïques, les plafonds boisés et décorés sans oublier le mobilier de bois peint, nous plonge immédiatement dans une ambiance de petit palais marocain.

Charmanter und gepflegter Riad in der Medina
Nach einem herzlichen Empfang durch Michele,dem aufmerksamen Hausherrn konnten wir unsere Erkundungstour durch das Gassengewirr der Medina starten. Der Riad ist ca. 25 Gehminuten vom Djemaa el Fna entfernt, wobei die direkte Umgebung des Riads zu den heruntergekommenen Ecken der Altstadt gehoert. Dennoch haben wir uns auch abends sicher gefuehlt.

un'oasi di pace e raffinatezza
un'oasi di tranquillità, puoi bere un the alla menta nel patio o goderti il tramonto in terrazza. E se vuoi, puoi chiedere a Michele di organizzarti una gita fuori città col fidato Mohammed, un pomeriggio all'hammam o un'ottima cena (consigliamo di provare a cenare al riad, una cucina marocchina davvero squisita).

Home away from home
I took my mum here for a small getaway and this Riad couldnt have been better. Mikel the owner was absolutly amazing. He did everything he possibly could to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. Beautiful Riad that was incredably clean and well looked after. We ate dinner every night which was plentiful. 3 courses for dinner which was home cooked traditional morroccan food. Our rooms were cleaned and tidied every morning and breakfast was always different every morning. (And lots of it!) We wod definitely be returning! :)

Piacevole dimora nel cuore della Medina.
In 3 coppie abbiamo soggiornato ai primi di Ottobre presso questo piacevole Riad situato nel cuore della Medina di Marrakesh dove un altrettanto piacevole gentile "padrone di casa" ci ha accolto nel suo piccolo regno che andrà ad ingrandirsi prossimamente!

Un'esperienza indimenticabile!!!!! Provateci!!!!
Siamo stati accolti un maniera sublime da Michele, titolare del Riad (italiano della Valtellina), con un trattamento veramente superiore a quanto ci aspettavamo!!! Posto sicuro e tranquillo, pulizia massima, colazione abbondante e cena con piatti locali veramente squisiti, gustosi ed abbondanti. I taxi arrivano direttamente fino alla porta del Riad, anche se è situato nella medina. Escursioni combinate e pattuite direttamente con il Sig. Michele che ci ha organizzato tutto con taxisti locali veramente professionali. Riad da provare assolutamente!!!!!

Riad de charme
Ce riad n'est pas un hôtel ( comme c'est souvent le cas), mais se rapproche plutôt des chambres d’hôtes. L’accueil est très chaleureux, le riad magnifique, les chambres sont suffisamment grandes et elles aussi très bien décorées. Le petit déjeuner servi dans la cour du riad est cuisiné au moment ou vous descendez petit dejeuner et préparé par une cuisinière!

Wonderful Riad
We stayed in Riad al Kadah for the Easter weekend and though it is out of the centre, the walk back through local streets was easy once learnt. The Riad itself was very attractive and the service was excellent. It is next door to a mosque and the Call for Prayer can clearly be heard in the early hours however it was easy to get back to sleep!

Gusto italiano a Marrakech
Il Riad non è centralissimo ma in 15 minuti arrivate comodamente nella piazza principale. Michele è carino e gentile e vi farà sentire a casa. Il Riad è davvero grazioso, pulitissimo e se vi capita di restare a cena una sera non resterete delusi: la cucina di Naima è eccellente. Consiglio di fare i transfer con e da l'aereoporto con Michele. Sarete sicuri che l'autista sa dove deve andare.

Accoglienza e assistenza impeccabili in una struttura meravigliosa, pulitissima e di grande charme. Ottima la Colazione, di qualita' superiore alla media, così come le pietanze di cucina tipica, proposte. Consigliatissimo!

Tranquility in the Medina!
Just 20 mins walk from Jemaa El Fna, this Riad is a quiet and tranquil resting place after the bustle of the city. Michele and his team provide a lovely welcome and nothing is too much trouble. Michele organised taxis, a restaurant booking and a day trip to the mountains. A highlight of our trip was the meal we had at the Riad, prepared by Michele. Absolutely delicious. Highly recommended!!

A hotel of class and comfort
This is a character full small (5 rooms) hotel. The owner has created an experience which balances the charm and luxury of a first class guesthouse with an authentic Maghreb ambiance. Nothing is too much trouble for a most sympathetic patron. Please make an effort to use French or Italian if you can, along with a curiosity of the local lifestyle and you will get a lot more from your stay.
