We stayed in the Courtyard Annex, which is a "motel" complex behind the Inn itself. Our accommodations were a spacious suite with modern décor, including two double beds and a "living room" area with sofa bed, easy chair, desk, etc. Good storage space and large bathroom. Parking was free, right outside the building. The Inn itself is an historic building with a large lobby area with lots of sofas and chairs, gift shop, restaurant and tavern. We did not see any of the rooms but understood they had a lot of character and charm, but were smaller and more expensive. The Inn is on a public square in the center of Middlebury, within walking distance of downtown, restaurants and other amenities. We had a very pleasant three-night stay.
