It was my first time at Lujo hotel this year – and it certainly did not disappoint. The concept of all-inclusive with al a carte restaurants is something I loved. The number of restaurants here and variety of cuisines offered is both mind-blowing and vast. Every dish is prepared with care and presented to perfection. My favourites were Shibori (Asian) and Sorriso (italian). The beach is beautiful with huts available with onsite bars. The cocktails were fantastic, and I often asked for some off the menu which the mixologists happily prepared. I am impressed that some imported spirit brands (e.g. Hendricks gin) are included in the package. The room I had was the swim up pool which is well worth it! The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, AC, ceiling fan, walk-in shower and lots of amenitie including BVLGARI shampoos. The water temperatures of the pools were perfect and there’s a good variety of pool sizes. This hotel made my stay extra special with complimentary birthday surprises which I was very grateful for. For me the most outstanding part of this hotel is the service. The staff try their utmost best to ensure all your needs and requirements are met and they do truly go out of their way to ensure you are enjoying every minute of your stay. I have stayed in numerous luxury hotels across the globe but this is my favourite/the best out of all of them. I will be back next summer and cannot wait to return to Lujo!

Let me start off on the positive notes. This is an architecturally amazing resort with lots of fantastic restaurants, bars and pools. The food is unbelievably superb with plenty of restaurants to choose from. A big shout out to our lovely Joy advisors Lola and Rahman who helped us via a WhatsApp group for all our needs. Other amazing staff, Ahmet from Secret and Tufan from Sorisso were so lovely and amazing! They spoke English and were very helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, other staff we encountered at Lujo struggled to understand English and so made it difficult from time to time. My partner and I booked the all inclusive package which I think is the standard for this place. However, beware! not all is inclusive and it’s not made clear upon arrival what is and isn’t. Some staff will connive you into buying drinks/other things that aren’t on the package list. Language barrier is a huge big problem at this resort, although the staff are lovely their English is very limited so a lot gets lost in translation. From arrival we as guests had felt lost with everything. One horrible incident that left us uneasy throughout our trip was a night at Shibori restaurant where a man with a moustache offered a wine that would go nice with the meal but we were never informed that it’s off the package. After 1.5 bottles we were presented with a bill of €400!! With service charge. We were shocked and confused why we were forced to sign this!

Upon arrival at Lujo, all our guests are assigned their personal Joy Advisors who assist with every question and request to ensure that each holiday becomes a true success. All our Joy Advisors are fluent in English, which is our main language at Lujo. We deeply regret that you nonetheless felt a lack of assistance and will of course look into this without delay. Lujo Hotel Bodrum is a luxury a la carte all-inclusive hotel offering a vast selection of premium beverages and liquors as part of the all-inclusive concept. Guests, who wish to order items that are not included can choose from a menu, where the prices of each item are clearly stated. Having consulted our Food and Beverage Department on the described matter, we see that the bottles of wine were ordered from the menu, prices seen and the receipt was signed with a discount as a courtesy from our house. Please allow us to underline that ordering items that are not included is entirely optional. Thus, Shishas are exclusively used for one guest and destroyed after use for sanity reasons. Shisha is an optional service that may or may not be preferred by a guest. The private cabanas at some of our beach areas and the Lotus Pier include private services and are thus equally optional to book. 1) Rooms had piles of ants every single day (photos available on social media) 2) Air Conditioning is broken 3) Cockroaches in the room (video posted on social media) 4) Offering to change rooms to a worse location 5) Asmaa dining experience was a disappointment for a representation of a Turkish cosines. 6) The in room dining service always took over an hour for simple requests. In room dining staff do not speak or understand food order requests in English. 7) The laundry service delivered non ironed clothes 8) Forcing fees for visitors coming from out of the hotel to spend one or two hours for a drink or delivery The list goes on. The hotel staff consist of untrained hospitality students with little English communication skills.

Our most important goal at Lujo Hotel Bodrum is to provide each and every one of our highly valued guests with an exceptional experience full of art & joy and we were disappointed to see that your visit fell short of expectations. Please allow us to respond to your suggestions for improvement in the same order. Lujo Hotel Bodrum is situated immid a natural forest and harmless tiny inhabitants of this forest might occasionally lose their ways to end up in the shade of buildings. With greatest regret we saw that some ants found their way into one of your rooms at ground level. Our Housekeeping team offered to immediately address this situation which you unfortunately seem to have declined. In light of the presence of the above-mentioned ants, a free room-upgrade was offered with four different choices, one of which was preferred by your side. All technical equipment in our luxurious guest rooms are subject to permanent controls. Nonetheless, of course, a maintenance team checked your air conditioning, which worked immaculately. We were not able to confirm your statement to have found cockroaches on our well-tended premises where we aim for perfection down to the smallest detail. Our Asma A la Carte restaurant mainly offers Turkish traditional delicacies with a modern approach. We regret that you did not like the Turkish cuisine but would like to remind that countless a la carte restaurants are at the service of our guests with different themes to choose from. Lujo Hotel Bodrum is a luxury a la carte hotel offering only the freshest of food and dining options. Thus, food is not prepared in advance but cooked as soon as our guests express their dining wishes. Our in-room dining staff, who, as all personnel with guest contact are in full knowledge of the English language, were happy to take your order which was then prepared by our master chefs. Delivery to your room was then effected within a sensible time frame. Having carefully checked our laundry records we can assure you that there was no case of any unironed clothes delivered to any of our guest rooms. However, our staff was happy to iron your clothes once again without any extra charges. Given the nature of our services and the extraordinary high standard provided to our guests, daily visits from non guests are subject to a daily-use fee. This is a common practice in all hotels around the globe and was explained to you in the friendliest manner by our team members. We assure you that our staff is fully trained and has the one goal to create happy memories that will last a lifetime.
