'A group of us gathered for a bit of a staycation from the Richmond area. We had a ladies night on Friday and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better location!! Saturday we had some other friends join us for food on the water and it was the most relaxing setting for us to reset and connect. 'The house is great, it was nice and spacious for our group to never feel crowded. It was clean, the water was right out the back door, and the common area was just to the side so very convenient to go play basketball, etc. The only downside is the little things that complete the experience, and made for a lot more to pack ourselves. 'Base Camp D was once again the perfect gathering place for our family Thanksgiving celebration. The kids took over the basement (and hot tub) while the adults visited upstairs. Sitting on the porch next to the heater was perfect for reading, meditating, and intimate conversations. Our only glitch was the breaker throwing twice but maintenance came right away.
