Check in is at 4pm which is ok but rooms were not totally ready then. Arrived for check in at noon 4 and the key making machine did not work. The manager let us put our things in the room then come back later for a key. The room had no trash can which I asked for but was not provided then. The mirror was dirty and askew. The safe deposit box was visibly broken and unusable. On our return a few hours later, there were many people in the lobby waiting for rooms with no personnel in sight. We waited 15-30 minutes for a key but staff did not show up. We left again for a while and returned Again, It took too long before staff arrive to take care of us and the other awaiting guests. Finally, the young manager appears and lets us in our room -still no key and still no trash can and no toilet paper. The young manager was ill equipped to manage guest expectations and no contingency plan for no key-maker, no assistance from the general manager. When I went to lobby to ask for a trash can and toilet paper, there was no reactive apology, just a ‘sure.’ Our window looked out onto an empty lot with weeds, trash and rocks. Breakfast -an opportunity for redemption- was overcooked and ultra processed foods and tons of single use plastic (1980?).
I’d like my Money back or a free room for future use in hopes that they could do better.
If Expedia is going to represent a property, should you not investigate the premise?
