Hotel tries to add charges for services which you haven’t even used. At the time of check out I was asked to pay 3000 plus rupees when asked for itemised bill receiptionist tried charging for extra bed when my room never had extra bed and then tried charging me for 2 cup of coffees and chips twice..after 30 mins of asking to explain how this charges was added to my bill he said we only owe him 1100 rupees and couldn’t explain how bill went from 3000 plus to 1100

Do not stay at this property.
I stayed in a higher than usual category room. There were mosquitos and flies all around the room and bathroom. I informed the hotel reception but nothing was done about it. The room was not cleaned properly. There was dirt all over the place. There was an electricity issue, twice the lights in the bathroom went off while the lights were on in the room. Despite rectifying it the problem persisted. Overall, very bad stay!

Comfortable stay. Staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Breakfast buffet is good. In house guests get a 50% off on dinner buffet which is very good.

Stayed here for two nights. Definitely a 3 Star hotel. Rooms basic. Bedding good but hotel rooms quite old and desk manager pretty ordinary. Tried asking him to book taxi in advance for leaving and was told to book Ola and only just before leaving. He offered to book for us with Ola then. Of course there was a problem as vehicle was too small for 3 people and luggage. Dinner buffet was good

Check in process was horrible and long because they didn’t have the Expedia confirmation. Was also given the wrong room initially with two small beds instead of one larger bed. After switching rooms several were mosquitoes present in room. Staff is nice but first impression was not pleasant

The beds are awesomely comfortable and all plugs have US/CAN inlets. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Closest Starbucks and mall/ multiplex is 5min walk from this property and the metro stn is 10min by ric. Some websites like agoda mention it has a gym but it doesn’t, so if you want a workout, make sure you call ahead and check. There are many gyms around including Anytime Fitness. 10min walk. However the WiFi was disappointing. Maybe it was out when I was there (24Jan-29Jan 2023). Be sure you have a data connection else you’d be scrambling for a signal.

A Boutique Hotel needs a fresh dressing up !!
The phones/intercom needs replacement. Room service through phone was bad but when they came in person to make up for it - it was very good. Only soft pillows being given - a little stiffer pillows were not available. At the breakfast, the Brown bread was very dry and the size of the bread was much larger than the Toaster so got half of it toasted.

Unclear on how this hotel is rated as a 5 star hotel, when it has one bar/restaurant, no swimming pool and no gym. It is a 3 star moving towards a 2 star. It has received awards and accolades, but they all seem years old and out of date. The blind in the room was broken, the tv didn’t work (until I called them to fix) and the shower water flooded into to the toilet area if the water power was anything above mid power. The size of the room was decent and I like small size and simplicity of the hotel as a whole. But paying the same price as other genuine 4 star hotels and a couple of 5 stars in the same city, just makes no sense.

My views of stay at Swenska Design at Mumbai
It claims to be 5 star but is nowhere near it. Also it was expensive when it comes to value for money.Its rates were almost as high as some of the 5 stars in Mumbai, but the service was nowhere near it. I do not understand the upfront charge of Rs 2000 for the minibar.

Don't go by pictures. The hotel maybe 4-5 stars when they built but this day in Sep 2021 its not maintained. Carpets in the walk outside rooms very very dirty, Safety locker broken, water clogging in the shower, stains in bathroom, Air conditioning control terrible. Room was too cold even when turning OFF the AC. I will rate it a 2.5 hotel. Only good thing is location. Good fast food restaurants around the hotel.

Fraud and Unsafe !
We made an error in picking a date as we were traveling from 12 timezones away. We called and asked the booking be moved to the next day. The first level of staff confirmed that she would do it and never happened. Managers kept passing responsibilities to each other and zero action. We ended up loosing that day's payment. When we actually arrived, we found hotel to be very mediocre and unsafe surroundings. The service was OK and breakfast truly was a disappointment.

Great stay
I had a wonderful stay at Svenska ,it was a short trip as i had an hospital appointment, the staff were veey cooperative in making my stay comfortable. I will definitely come back again. Room's were clean and covid free sanitized.

i was there on business so the location was good for me - though it is a bit out of town. some good bars and restaurants in the area. the hotel is good, staff are friendly and pleasant. the roof top bar has now closed though they still show that in their advert pictures

Excellent location. Service by the staff is excellent. Food is ok and many options around the hotel. Breakfast is ok. Not many options as it is a small hotel. Have stayed there couple of times in last month, once for work as office is nearby. Would recommend as a base if you need to be close to Andheri, airport and Bandra.

Comfortable room in good hotel
This hotel was recommended to me by a customer who was nearby. I arrived at 4am in the morning and got a happy face at the reception. Easy check in, comfortable bed in modern room set up. I only slept for 4 hours as I needed to go to meetings but I felt refreshed. buffet breakfast was well stocked and good quality. Will definitely stay here next I come!

The interiors are very nice and the hotel is kept up well. A couple of issues: there are no full length mirrors anywhere in the room, this may not seem like a huge issue, but we were there before a wedding, so getting ready was difficult with only one mirror in the bathroom. Also the hot water never got hot, just warm enough to make the showers bearable. Room service food was also very cold when delivered.

Over-priced nightmare
-During the 2 nights that I stayed in this hotel, I was unable to get a WiFi signal in my hotel room, the whole entire time. -I was locked out of my room 5 different times, as my key card no longer worked. I had to then go down to the front desk to have my key card recharged. -There was an issue with the key card and the light switches, as the lights would constantly turn themselves off after I was in the room for less than 5 minutes. After this happened at least 6 times, I was told there was a faulty switch, and I was put into another room. - Due to the lack of WiFi signal in the first room I was put into (#504), and the faulty light switches, I was then put into room 101. I had no WiFi signal in that room, either. I was then told I could move to a third room. Are they joking? Why should I move to THREE different rooms when I only stayed there for 2 nights? -The hotel claims that food is available 24 hours, as they have multiple restaurants and bars in the hotel. But, I went down to a restaurant at 5:30 PM and was told I was only able to get a sandwich or pizza, and nothing else. I passed on eating. - I went to the restaurant in the evening, and ordered one Kingfisher beer. They tacked on a 25 rupee service charge. When I pointed out a news article from the Times of India (online) that said the service charge was not required as per Indian government regulations, I was told "So sorry Ma'am" and got a refund of my 25 rupees.
