Great location
Naples is not my favorite place but this area at marina & next to castle was night. There is alot of night life. My only negative is the floor was dirty. It looked clean but when walking with no shoes my feet were very dirty.

Comfortable and spacious in a gorgeous location
The apartment looks even better then the pictures. Well-equipped kitchen, lots of space, extremely comfortable. Air conditioning worked great, we had a little balcony to sit out on and watch the world go by. It is in a great spot- right by the sea, just a little apart from the main city. It has a thriving restaurant culture and there are a ton of food options at your doorstep. Busy in the evening but the apartment does a good job of keeping the bulk of the noise out.

This is a wonderful property located in the vibrant Borgo Marinari, the historic marina of Napoli, which recently became one of the prettiest areas of the city. The apartment has a view of the central market of Borgo Marinari, packed with restaurants and a vibrant nightlife. Its side has a view of Castel dell'Ovo fortress. Some of the best restaurants in Napoli are located here. The apartment is huge, on two levels, with three baths and can easily accommodate 10 people. It has blinders and noise-reduction windows to isolate from outside noise and all needed amenities, as advertised. It has two separate AC units for full comfort, high speed internet, guides to Napoli, the works. For the sea wolfs: you can come with your family by boat, dock in the marina and stay in the apartment. Marcello is a great host, prompt and fast and we communicated flawlessly. He also provided a connection for a garage nearby, at a reduced fare. Overall, a highly recommended rental that I will pass to all my friends.

Perfect walking location!! Only needed transport to farther locations like Pompeii and Herculaneum and Amalfi. Ferries to islands are walking distance. Take a taxi up the hill and walk down if it is too much. Restaurants and bars right next door. Noise was not a problem. You can hear them on the weekends but never kept us or our granddaughter awake.

Casa Borgo Marinari was great. The neighborhood is full of restaurants on the water and several bars. It is on a pedestrian way so it may require a little work to get your luggage from the main road to the apartment but it is worth it.

Marcello was a great host. The location is perfect for all activities, our favorite tour from Get Your Guide was a boat tour to Capri with a swim stop and they picked up within 5 minutes walking distance from our place. All is great, The internet could work better but other than that we had a lovely time.

Une pépite au coeur de Naples !
Appartement très bien rénové, (beaux matériaux, bon agencement, beaucoup de rangements) clair, agréable à vivre. Marcello nous a permis d'arriver dès le matin : il fait tout pour le confort de ses hôtes. Ce quartier est fort sympathique, un peu de bruit sur les terrasses mais on échappe aux klaxons de la ville !

L'appartamento di Marcello è stata una scelta fortunata perché rispondeva esattamente alle esigenze della nostra famiglia. Viaggiavamo mia moglie, io, i nostri due figli di 8 e 11 anni e i nostri due bouledogue francesi. La posizione è molto comoda per visitare Napoli oltre che estremamente suggestiva trovandosi la casa a due passi da Castel dell'Ovo nel Borgo Marinari. Marcello ci ha ricevuto con puntualità e gentelizza. La casa è spaziosa, bella e pulita con tutto quello che può essere necessario per un soggiorno anche di più di qualche giorno. Una delle soluzioni migliori che ci è capitato di prenotare ( e viaggiamo molto...)

Fabulous location and great property! Exactly as described. The only slight negative is the bars and restaurants next door can be very noisy, but the extremely sound proof windows really help and the noise did not keep us awake. A great location from which to explore the surrounding areas. Loved it and would recommend highly.

A special part of Napoli
This is a fun apartment to stay in. The clever engineering of space, and we were still discovering little touches of creativity and practicality at the end of our 4 day stay. The Borgo Marinaro setting is both apart from old Napoli, and close enough to be able to walk to most of the many of the main sites in the historical centre, and to the ferry landing for trips to Capri, Ischia and Procida. On a fine evening the stroll along Lungomare and Cariciaolla is unsurpassed for views across the city and bay.

Perfect place with a great water vibe
This apartment was perfect! We loved the space, the location, and the nearby restaurants. It felt like we were in a beach town, but in the city. The castle had incredible views, and we loved walking over the small bridge that always had lovely musicians playing. Evening was perfect for photos and people watching. The hosts were wonderful! We had a flight cancellation, and as luck would have it, we were able to extend our stay by an additional night. We would not stay anywhere else on a return trip to Naples. This was our last stop on an 18 day holiday, and we couldn't have chosen a better place.

Excellent lcation
We are a group of four people who spent 16 nights in May 2019. We used this excellent location to explore Naples and the islands of Capri and Ischia. Everything was as described on the internet site. The apartment is on two levels. There are two full bedrooms (each for two persons) and two full bathrooms. There is also a half bathroom. The living area is quite large. There is a full kitchen (gas knobs, oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, etc.) and the washing machine. The climatisation works well. The TV had many channels. The WiFi connection worked well and we could use Skype. The owner has been very helpful and made significant efforts to accommodate us. We intend to come back.

Apartamento muy recomendable para Nápoles en una zona próxima al paseo marítimo, con mucho ambiente, limpio, ordenado, luminoso y sin ruidos. Marcello muy atento a todo desde el principio hasta el final.Buen anfitrión. Ha tener en cuenta que las compras de alimentación hay que desplazarse un poquito a Santa Lucía.

Un adresse exceptionnelle
Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. Dix jours de rêve. L'appartement est très agréable, parfaitement adapté pour cinq personnes (deux adultes et trois enfants). Nous avons apprécié la climatisation, bienvenue en été. Nous n'avons absolument pas été importunés par la proximité des bars et restaurants du quartier, bien au contraire. L'adresse est parfaite pour profiter du Borgo Marinari et il suffit de quelques minutes de marche, par la via Santa Lucia, pour arriver à la Piazza del Plebiscito. De nombreux commerces, en particulier via S. Lucia, nous ont été bien utiles au quotidien. L'on trouve à proximité plusieurs parkings (je recommande le parking Chiatamone conseillé par Marcello), taxis, arrêts de bus, stations de métro (Municipio - ligne 1) et gare Centrale du funiculaire (via Toledo) à une quinzaine de minutes de marche de l'appartement. Nous nous sommes régulièrement déplacés en voiture (visites à Ercolano, Pompei, catacombes, cimetière des Fontanelles, ...), sans difficulté particulière, n'ayant pas de souci pour garer la voiture à notre retour. Nous avons même pu trouver un garagiste à proximité, via Chiatamone, qui nous a bien dépannés. Nous remercions vivement Simona et Marcello pour leur disponibilité et leurs bons conseils. Ce séjour nous laisse un souvenir impérissable et nous recommandons chaleureusement cette adresse. Si nous le pouvons, nous y reviendrons.

Spacious, clean, and cool apartment in a charming location
We loved staying at Marcello’s apartment. It is located next to an old castle right near the water. There is a stunning view of the coast and Mt. Vesuvius. The apartment was air conditioned which was very nice for my mother. We hadn’t had this luxury at other apartments in Florence and Rome. We also used the washing machine which was necessary near the end of our two week stay in Italy. Marcello and his assistant were friendly and provided thorough and clear directions and check in instructions. They made us feel at home. We hope to stay again in the future if we can!

Great location, spacious apartment
This is a wonderful apartment in a great location. Just a couple negatives: If you are over 6 feet tall, you might have trouble staying here. Most rooms have very low ceilings and doorways. The air conditioning unit doesn't work very well. We were here in September when the weather was mild, not hot, and the upstairs bedrooms became warm enough that windows had to be opened at night. That would have been fine, except there was a very noisy bar right outside the apartment, which didn't quiet down until 2 a.m. This happened every night of our 3-night stay.

Next time if you have a problem or if something doesn't work during your stay, just let me know. I have a person working for me who fixes everything also during the guests' stay. Appartamento Borgo Marinari posizione incantevole! Consigliatissimo!!!
Abbiamo soggiornato tre notti in questo delizioso appartamento, molto spazioso e funzionale. Noi eravamo in cinque persone e ci siamo stati proprio comodi. Il borgo è molto bello, ci sono molti ristoranti carinissimi. Abbastanza rumoroso la sera e fino a tarda notte, per via dei molti turisti che lo frequentano. Posizione perfetta anche per raggiungere il centro a piedi. Piazza del plebiscito ad una decina di minuti. Passeggiata sul lungomare piacevole. Se volete mangiare la vera pizza napoletana, recatevi da Sorbillo, ultimo ristorante nella zona pedonale. C'è da aspettare un po', ma ne vale davvero la pena. Napoli stupenda.

Appartamento molto curato e spazioso, posizione meravigliosa in un angolo di paradiso di Napoli. 3 bagni, 3 camere da letto, una sala ampia e luminosa, una cucina completa, tutto arredato con gusto e cura dei dettagli. Borgo Marinari è incantevole per una passeggiata romantica: al mattino è impagabile svegliarsi nel silenzio e fare colazione tra il mare e Castel dell'Ovo, alla sera ci sono tanti locali dove mangiare o bere qualcosa. Marcello è stato molto cordiale e gentile. Speriamo di tornarci al più presto!

Wonderful apartment and location in Naples
It is a perfect apartment with easy walking access to lots of different areas and sites. After a long day it was a delight to return to the Borgo to relax and recharge for the evening. Cooking some meals made one seem a bit less of a tourist. However, the bar cafes and pizzerias lured one in more often than not.Thank you Marcello and Simone.

Fantastico appartamento e ottima posizione!!
Consiglio vivamente a tutti i viaggiatori questo splendido appartamento situato nel borgo marinari di Napoli, ai piedi di Castel Dell'Ovo. L'appartamento è fornito di tutto, pulitissimo e confortevole, cucina completamente attrezzata, tv biblioteca wifi, insomma tutto! Sembra di stare a casa propria, ci sono tre bagni due camere un divano letto e tutto l'occorrente in una stanzetta attrezzata, il massimo del comfort. La zona è molto tranquilla essendo area pedonale e appena scesi di casa ci sono già locali e ristoranti. A pochi passi si è già sul lungomare con vista del Vesuvio e in 5 minuti a piedi si arriva subito a piazza Plebiscito dove comincia il tour a Napoli. Marcello inoltre è stato gentilissimo a prenotatarci un posto auto in un garage che dista non più di 4 minuti a piedi, ottimo perchè in alcuni periodi è veramente difficile parcheggiare. Siamo rimasti molto più soddisfatti rispetto a quello che si vede dal sito...provare per credere. Spero di tornare presto a Napoli ed in particolare in questo bellissimo appartamento. Grazie Nino

Fantastic spacious apartment in historic area next to the sea
The apartment lives up to expectations and I would not have chosen any other area in preference. 4 of us had plenty of room and we all enjoyed swaying in the hammock (2 adults and 19 & 22 year old)! The castell dell 'ovo outside is imposing and the pizzarias and bars are welcoming and enjoyable in the area. Taxi rank is nearby (5 minute walk) . Nearest trains are a bit further but we walked in the city area. We hired a car for 2 days to drive the amalfi coast and to visit pompeii although pompeii can be reached easily by train from piazza garibaldi (50 minute walk or get a cab) . Nearby car rental on via San Lucia very helpful but we found it hard to understand the terms of contract in Italian so might have gone elsewhere to be on more familiar ground. Marcello suggested parking in a nearby garage which was fine for our overnight rental. We took 2 free guided walks at the start of the week which were really great to get a feel for the old town and area of Naples (donations can be given after the walk) . Our last day we took a train from piazza amadeo to pozzuilo and went to the volcano solfatara and the amphitheatre, both were excellent. Finally the archaelogical museum was amazing. We would really recommend this apartment and marcello was brilliant with all his help along the way!

Fantastic apartment
This large, comfortable, well appointed apartment is situated perfectly for seeing the sights of Naples and the surrounding area. Everything is within easy reach. The Borgo itself is a tiny little refuge of character and charm, removed from the ever exuberant beat of Naples itself. Simona and Marcello could not habe been more accommodating or lovingly professional, a welcome aid for travelers to an unknown area. Every question, every need was attended to. When thinking of a place to stay in Naples this is it!

Lots of space, ceilings are low so if you're over 6'4" be careful. Location in the marina is great.
We really liked the unit due to its size and once we got the washer figured out all was good. Lots of restaurants in the area. About a twenty minute walk to the ferry terminal Beverly where we caught the train to Capri.

Casa Borgo Marinari è l'ideale per chi vuole visitare Napoli e dintorni. La casa è grande e luminosa, arredata con gusto e fantasia. C'è tutto il necessario per cucinare e per rilassarsi (Tv internet etc) e il borgo marinari è ricco di fascino. Marcello è molto disponibile e vi saprà dare ottimi consigli e suggerimenti per poter trascorrere un ottimo soggiorno

Beaucoup de charme
Nous avons passé une excellente semaine en Février dans cet appartement. La situation dans le Borgo Marinaro est exceptionnelle. On est en ville mais on pourrait se croire en vacances dans un petit port méditerranéen. L'appartement est au premier étage (ascenseur pratique pour les valises). Il est en duplex. En bas: entrée, buanderie, grand séjour/salle à manger très lumineux, un couloir sur lequel donne la cuisine, une chambre avec 2 lits pouvant être séparés ou réunis et un cabinet de toilette avec lavabo, bidet et WC. Du séjour part un escalier donnant sur un bureau en mezzanine. A l'arrière (et donc fermé) se trouvent une salle de bain avec douche et WC (accès direct par le bureau) et une chambre avec lit matrimonial et salle de bain particulière. La cuisine est bien équipée. L'appartement est très calme (un peu de bruit le samedi soir à cause des bars à proximité mais les double vitrages sont efficaces). De la chambre en haut, on entend les bruits de la cage d'escalier. Un peu bruyant lorsque nous y étions à cause de travaux dans le haut de l'immeuble (les ouvriers arrivaient tôt) mais c'est ponctuel. Internet fonctionne parfaitement. Très bien situé pour visiter le quartier espagnol, passer une soirée à l'opéra de San Carlo (10 mn à pied, penser à réserver par internet longtemps à l'avance) ou aller dans les îles (20 mn à pied de la gare maritime en suivant la mer, mais possible aussi en bus), agréables promenades sur le Lungomare le matin tôt ou en fin de journée pour profiter des superbes lumières sur la baie (on peut aussi monter au château tout proche pour bénéficier de la vue). A Naples, on fait beaucoup de choses à pied car les transports ne sont pas toujours très pratiques même si les nouvelles stations de métro sont magnifiques! Station de taxis juste à côté, Simona vous indiquera le montant du tarif pré-déterminé pour venir de l'aéroport pour éviter toute mauvaise surprise. Plusieurs supermarchés et commerces à proximité. Decisamente un'ottima soluzione per visitare Napoli e le sue bellezze
L'appartamento è in un contesto molto particolare e soprattutto molto tranquillo L'isola pedonale in cui è ubicato garantisce silenzio e assenza di traffico, due condizioni importanti per chi come noi vive in una gande città (Milano). I locali sono spaziosi, puliti e ben arredati. Unico piccolo neo da segnalare il mancato funzionamento di due fornelli e l'assenza di un tostapane in cucina. La posizione è strategica e permettere di visitare borgo Marinari e Castel dell'Ovo semplicemente uscendo di casa e di raggiungere comodamente il centro in pochi minuti a piedi. Simona si è dimostrata affabile e prodiga di utili consigli che abbiamo seguito con beneficio. Consigliamo assolutamente questo appartamento e la visita della splendida Napoli

Gentili ospiti, siamo contenti che siate stati bene e che la nostra casa abbia risposto alle vostre esigenze. Grazie per i vostri consigli che abbiamo già messo in pratica: abbiamo aggiustato il fornello e comprato uno splendido tostapane ;-))

Ten days in Casa Borgo Marinari
Appartment is very comfortable and in a excellent condition, situated in a central position of the ancient town and the promenade along the coast boulevard. The letter is kind and an uncomplicated person. We four people enjoyed our stay there very much.
