Goed hotel op geweldige locatie
De locatie van dit hotel is geweldig, precies in het hart van het oude gedeelte van Napels. De staf is heel vriendelijk en wil je aan alle kanten helpen. Het hotel is gevestigd in een 16e eeuws palazzo. Dit draagt bij aan de charme, maar heeft dus ook kleine bijzonderheden zoals de delicate staat van de leidingen. Maar als je dat voor lief wilt nemen, heb je hier een heel goed hotel dat de perfecte uitvalsbasis is voor een paar heerlijke dagen in Napels.

A lovely hotel in the best area
super nice staff, loved the welcome with drinks and pastry! Amazing building in a really nice area of the city, very safe but at the same time not too touristy. Lots of restaurants and cafes. Really recommend Madison Degas!

Lovely stay
Loveliest staff we met in Italy. They couldn’t do more for you. Great location. Room was simple but had everything we needed and the breakfast was a good bonus. Don’t be put off by the entrance!

Ottima la posizione, nel vero cuore di Napoli, a due passi da tutto. Ottima l'accoglienza e tutto lo staff in generale. Stanza accogliente e pulita. Nel bagno il lavabo è veramente piccolo e la luce insufficiente per vederci bene (unico neo!) Opportuno avere sempre in tasca una monetina da 10 centesimi perché l'ascensore va su (sono tre piani!!!) solo se foraggiato: nel week end, però, è gratis! Sufficiente la colazione. Consigliato, ma non a chi ha pretese alte!

excellent hôtel, très très bien placé, très propre, calme et très accueillant en cas de besoin, se rapprocher de Sergio, le manager de l'hôtel, mais tout le personnel est à l'écoute de cette hôtel, on est au coeur de naples, on peut tout faire à pied ou en métro, le port est proche également Naples, soit on l'a déteste, soit elle vous envoute ... ca été mon cas

You get what you pay for
Did not have a great stay due to difficulty finding the hotel, smell in the room, lack of wifi in my room, etc. However it's hard to complain about these things given the price of the hotel is so incredibly low, what can you really expect? When they received the complaint, they did call me within an hour and offer to pay for my stay at another hotel, a *very* nice gesture. I did not take them up on is as it was already 8PM and I had a very early departure the following morning.

Thank goodness I had taken a copy of the entrance so when we finally found the square with the big monument we knew to look left. Then the door was locked and, fortunately someone let us into the parking area. Then the elevator (free but we were told to bring .10 euro to operate it), and finally up on 3rd floor is the entrance to the hotel - again locked. We arrived at 8 PM after walking with luggage from the Museum of Archeology (a MUST SEE if you are going to Pompei) and were warmly greeted by Ichik who let us in, gave us juice to drink, THREE keys to go out and come back for dinner. Lovely breakfast - simple but complete.

Dell' holtel nulla da dire era come me lo aspettavo di expedia invece deluso visto che ho prenotato due stanze pagato due stanze e all'arrivo l'hotel aveva ricevuto solo la prenotazione di una stanza. Amazing location , very good choice in Naples !
The Hotel is good simple , quiet even if its in the center of the city and very clean the stuff is very helpfull , especially Mr.Sergio , its located in amazing area exactly in the center and thats really good ! the location is really great ! Next to it full of shops,restaurants , caffe/bars...Its a Hotel that its very appropiate for few days in Naples , besides nobody goes to stay all day in the Hotel but to go around in this beautiful city that has everything ! I would reccomended for sure...

Vecchio appartamento con una bellissima vista
Si tratta di un albergo situato in un appartamento, nel pieno centro di Napoli e molto conveniente se non si vuole spendere molto. Nel complesso il soggiorno non è stato male, ma la struttura è molto datata e questo si vede sia nelle camere che nelle "aree comuni". La colazione era davvero misera. In compenso il wifi funzionava davvero (non come di solito a Napoli).

La struttura è fatiscente, avrebbe necessità di un profondo restyling a partire dall'ingresso al palazzo, passando per gli ascensori per arrivare fino alle camere. La categorizzazione a tre stelle è assai generosa. Le foto che vengono rese disponibili sul sito sono fuorvianti. Quanto di (poco) positivo espresso nella valutazione è solo attribuibile alla pulizia ed alla cortesia del personale. Se la categorizzazione fosse stata due stelle o B&B probabilmente non ci avrebbe lasciato così spiazzati.

Great location.
Excellent location for sightseeing. Staff helpfull and friendly. The room was clean although a little shabby. Breakfast was adequate and seemed to improve as the week went on. Would have liked coffee making facility in the room , there was a small fridge in a cupboard that we found on our last day!

Great hotel at a fair price
Really enjoyed our stay at Maison Degas. It's conveniently located a short walk (15 min) from the nearby Port of Napoli and Molo Beverello, where you can catch boats all along Italy's gorgeous Western coast. The staff at the hotel were very kind and accommodating, willing to help you find your way around the city and print any travel documents you may need. Special thanks to Mariano and Silivio who were so helpful to us. The hotel is located an even shorter walk from delicious restaurants and shopping on Toledo, also nearby a marvelous church and piazza. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a convenient hotel in the city of Napoli at a solid price.

Rustig, nära till gamla staden.
Centallt belägen hotell med mycket trevlig personal. Rummen ligger på sista (3) våning i ett flerrumshus, mycket central i gamla staden. Rummen motsvarar ett 3 stjärnig hotell men inte mer. Luftkonditioneringen lätt lite för mycket för vårt smak men den trevliga personalen kompenserar väl det. Kolla gärna det med parkeringen innan. Hotellet har tillstånd för en bil/dag att köra in på gården för att lämna bagaget. De hjälper gärna till men fråga det om ni tänker köra bil (vilket kan vara äventyr i Neapel)

This hotel is a contradiction. I booked it because of the location and the great reviews. And I agree with the reviews...for the most part. The staff and service of this hotel (which I see as more of a bed and breakfast) make up for almost all of its quirks. And boy, it has a lot of quirks. First, my room (#5) had no doorknob of any kind. Doesn't sound like a problem until you have to try and lock the door. Secondly, the toilet in my room was constantly an issue. When it was working properly, it would make strange noises every so often. I was warning of "only flushing toilet paper" upon check in, because of the ancient plumbing in the old building. But, the toilet would periodically make novices an hour or more after use. When the plumbing was not working properly, both the shower and the toilet were affected, but rectified easily. The bed, though large, was hard. The AC worked well but you could not keep it on when you were not in the room...I tried to keep it on one day (it was in the high 80s during my June stay) and housekeeping must have turned it off. There was a phone in the room but calls could not be transferred to it. And (a minor thing), the tv had more channels than I could scroll through but none in English that I found. Saying all of that, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay because of the staff and the wonderful service. The staff was all very friendly and willing to help out in any way. I enjoyed getting to know them and they made this one worth it.

Dear guest, we do thank you to have reviewed out Hotel. We would just point out something about this review. First of all, about the doorknob: Management constantly invests in maintenance works and additional improvements are scheduled as soon as the guests attendees’ flow is going to slow down. Then, about the toilet and the hydraulic pumping system, we have to specify that the pump is operating only when a bathroom element is used. The mild noise lasts the time of the elements use. Moreover the pump was replaced with a new one (a more silent machine) to eliminate any possible annoyance to the guest. About the AC, we really want to highlight that the EU guidelines invite to a responsible and eco-friendly use of energy. Our hotel intends to respect such directives. For this, we kindly ask our guests to avoid wastes of energy, turning off the air conditioning when exit the room and closing the window while using it. Also because the AC is fast in refreshing the room , it takes just a few minutes an there is no reason to waste energy like that. About the bed we really have nothing to say , just that nobody has ever complained about . About the phone call, it’s clearly a temporary failure that has been subsequently solved. Our staff is present in the Hotel 24 hours a day and is always available to our customers. If informed, They would intervene with diligence. Great period hotel in good location & great staff
Building was 16th century and amazing and as you would expect a little quirky. Staff were unbelievably helpful. Special mention to Andrea who despite not speaking much English (more than our Italian though!) went out of his way to give great service, even ordering the cab to take us to station at best times.

Nice staff but noisy location
Let me say that Naples is a noisy place during the day. We stayed in room 2. The room was ok and the staff excellent. The only problem we found was the outside noise.Despite double glazing it got through. Two nights Fri and Sat it goes on till well past midnight from a restaurant and club. It is also a transit route from somewhere to somewhere else. We had people shouting, screaming , throwing bottles and playing football against the large doors in the early hours. Ask for a room not facing the piazza as they are quiter . Location good.

Good starting point for Naples stay
The hotel was a fantastic location in the heart of everything the old town has to offer. Couple of great bars opposite. When flight was delayed and our arrival late they were very friendly and accommodating. Would recommend.
