The hotel uses old magnetic card keys for the rooms, which are very easily rendered unusable if they're held near a phone, contactless card etc. Despite best efforts to keep apart, I had to return to reception after every trip out to get a new card. It's 2024 guys - c'mon.

Reasonable hotel for one night stay but plenty of room for improvement. Uneventful menu with high prices should be changed as there are no restaurants nearby. The staff could be more welcoming and informative.

Situé à Gateshead, il suffit de traverser le Millenium Bridge pour rejoindre Newcastle. Les chambres sont spacieuses et bien entretenues. L'hôtel propose un service de restauration et un bar au rapport qualité-prix correct. L'accueil est parfait. Suite à un problème technique dans ma chambre, j'ai été surclassée en chambre executive ce qui a ajouté un confort bien appréciable à mon séjour. Je recommande vivement cet hôtel et y retournerai sans hésiter. Encore merci !

The permanent staff are what made our brief stay. Positioned in a super spot near to Millennium bridge and Quays area, the hotel is warm and welcoming. Our second floor room overlooking the river was small but very comfortable with a fantastic mattress (important for a good night's sleep). Decor is a little dated but clean and fine. Our main issue was the kitchen; we'd ordered food in the evening but when my husband's lasagne came out, the top was lukewarm and when I poked my finger in it was still icy cold at the bottom, quite a health risk. I have to say the staff couldn't have been more apologetic and kind - the meal costs were fully refunded and we did not have to pay for our on site parking. We will return but it did put a dampener on our evening after we'd spent a lovely time watching and listening to Dark Side of the Moon at the Life Science Centre.

Overall good value
Didn’t get much sleep due to the noise from the adjacent rooms but that’s not the hotels fault. Car park was full and it’s a longish walk up a big hill to the nearest car park. Good location for the glasshouse and just across the bridge to the city centre so overall good value

Third or so time I’ve stayed here, great location, rooms are a good size and if you get a river side room the views are amazing. This time round my room was freezing, mentioned it twice and nothing changed. Food seems to stop early the night I arrived and the next day the chef hadn’t turned up for lunch (ended up having to get Uber eats…). All that aside I’d stay there again as the location is perfect.
