'Amazing stay with the best hosts'

'Ruime schone kamer, bed kraakte luid bij elke beweging. Continentaal ontbijt was voldoende, tegen toeslag goed full English breakfast dat ter plekke bereid werd. Geen diner/avondresraurant. Op loopafstand weinig activiteiten en restaurants. Receptie grotendeels gesloten, behalve bij check-in. Goede eigen parkeerplaats, ligging dichtbij snelweg die je ‘s nachts niet hoort.'

'Booked here because of its proximity to Bristol airport but it didn't disappoint. Ample parking, nice beers and food (pity they had ran out of steaks!). For early risers they prepare a continental breakfast the evening before so you can always get something no matter at what time you have to catch your flight. Wouldn't mind to come back and be able to try those steaks.'

'Great location, quiet and comfy querky rooms. Would definitely stay here again.'

'Easy to find and ample parking. Young lad in the pub checked us in and showed us to our room which was clean and tidy. A sea view would have been nice but we were only stopping off for one night on way to Burgh Island'

'Very far away from town centre, no shops around, supermarkets a bit far away. No shower, and not even plug on the bath, just an old towel. Expensive, 50 per day, for that price you can book at Travellodge with toilet inside the room and in conditions, plus maybe breakfast included. The only good thing was ability to cook'

'Stayed in cabin 3, and despite reading some recent negative reviews, we were very happy with the room. It was clean, well stocked and the view over the lake in the morning was amazing. Breakfast was very nice and had lots of variety. Our only small gripe was the beds weren’t particularly comfortable. Mattresses are subjective and we were only there 1 night. Would definitely recommend and will be looking to stay there again. It’s also only 25 minutes from Cardiff centre. '

'We were welcomed by a very friendly lady who told us all we needed to know about the house and the area. Rooms are charming, bathroom basic, restaurant /living room very functional '

'Bright, clean and spacious room. Located right off the highway but in a lovely green space hidden away. The room was big with a large ensuite. It is a little dated but perfectly kept and clean and absolutely everything you could need - even an iron. Slept really well which is what you need when travelling. I would definitely stay here again. '

'The Celyn is located in an outstanding rural position. From the moment you arrive Sarah and Paul were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was good sized, clean with outstanding views over the farm. The sheep and lambs were in the field in front and it was nice to see them. The bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. The cooked breakfast was very high quality and very tasty and worthy of the reviews I had previously read. Overall the Celyn is a credit to Sarah and...

'Rather a quirky place on the edge of Bristol. There is a bus stop right outside, very convenient, took about 40 minutes into city centre so no parking to worry about. Our room was rather dark with heavy wood and colour scheme, but well enough equipped, although there was a considerable amount of traffic noise. Tiny shower and diy breakfast (plenty of it). The owner was away but the gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly and chatty. This was not a luxury stay but fine for a stopover. '

'A comfortable and clean place to stay before an early morning flight out of Bristol Airport. Was easy walking distance to the airport, with a pub and nice green area park close to it. It was clear parking is somewhat limited, ( I didn't drive but it was something that was noted quite a bit). Check out wasn't too difficult either, and wasn't too loud from the airport, so was able to get plenty of sleep before the flight.'

'Beautiful house in a lovely location. Very hospitable hosts who welcomed us into their kitchen for a pot of tea on arrival. They gave us lots of information about the area and good places to eat. Spotlessly clean room with lovely toiletries. Good quality tea and coffee and Welsh Cakes. The breakfast was absolutely delicious and of the best quality. We will definitely stay here again. '

'I have stayed here twice before. The welcome from Lyndon is great. The breakfast is freshly cooked and plenty of it. Beds are comfortable and the bathroom was clean. However the wardrobe was in need of repair and the fridge had old food in it. The bedside cabinets had a layer of dust but I base my review on comfort and hospitality '
