'Het uitzicht is geweldig, een ruim en clean (wat kil) appartement, met wel alle voorzieningen. Maar… besef wel dat de weg bergop een lange steile klim is, er wordt erg hard gereden. Het laatste stuk ik juist weer bergaf, erg steil (25%/14 graden!), erg smal en notabene tweerichtingsweg! Besef ook dat de hoofdweg van vliegveld naar caltheta voor ca 70% bestaat uit tunnel, slecht verlicht en donker.'

Beste hotel in Madeira
"Mooi hotel dat 9 jaar geleden opende. We waren net daar op hun verjaardag. Groot resortgevoel waarbij je wel een nummer bent maar dat geeft niet. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kamers worden tweemaal opgemaakt per dag (nog nooit eerder geweten) en er is altijd een snoepje of gebakje als verrassing. Ongelofelijk groot buffet van goede kwaliteit (ook glutenvrij) doch als je laat gaat, is er al veel weg en krijgen ze het niet snel genoeg aangevuld. Zwembaden zijn er ook knap hoewel dat niet ons ding is. Wil je meer dan het plebs (wij dus), dan kan je voor 80 Euro per dag je het premium gevoel laten aansmeren. Per persoon weliswaar… Dus rijk zijn helpt hier wel om de beleving nog intenser te maken. De lobby is donker en groot wat me heel koel en afstandelijk overkomt."
