When I checked into the hotel I was taking a shower and noticed a bug on the towel It happened with finding bugs around the room a day after I did get in contact with. Reception and did have someone to look but they didn’t really do much I woke up with bites on my arms and were very itchy . The staff were lovely helpful with guidance to shops just really disappointed about the bug situation.

Really nice hotel and very reasonable price. The rooms were really comfortable and clean. I didn’t use the facilities as I only stayed for one night but the bar/restaurant looked really inviting. Staff were really friendly. I did ask for a quiet room away from the busy main road but unfortunately my room overlooked the road. However, the traffic noise quietened into the evening so it didn’t really disturb me. There are a lot of dining options just outside the hotel if you want to try something different. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone looking for a hotel in the area.

Good service, lovely room, small but well equipped gym and great shower. Nice to have the pool but changing facilities not great and towels not provided. Breakfast buffet ok but would expect a better choice for the hotel price point. Dining area in need of a refresh. Overall though, enjoyed our stay, would come again.

First experience with Mercure
The hotel itself was very well presented with modern decor and furnishings. The front of house staff were great as well as the bar staff. Breakfast staff not so attentive which was a shame. This having been my first stay at the hotel everything was very well explained. My room was small but adequate for what I needed, not a great night's sleep as the mattress was very soft. I like a nice firm mattress but beggers can't be choosers. There was a rather strong smell of something not so legal on my floor which was felt with as soon as I raised my concerns. Overall a lovely hotel and I would stay here again.

Good nights stay at the Mercure.
We had a good stay at the Mercure Nottingham. The room (220) was very clean and comfortable. It wasn't the largest of rooms, but was warm clean and with a comfortable bed. Food was of a good standard.

Convenient and comfortable
A very convenient hotel with friendly and efficient staff. We had a good room with a very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast. My only criticism is that towels were replaced each day, even though we folded them and hung them on the rail.

It was an ok hotel. Wouldn’t call this a 4 star hotel though. The room was small. And the walls very thin. It was very noisy throughout the night. Breakfast was ok. Could have used a bit more variety of items though.

Amazing Staff, great hotel
I'm starting this review with the staff - Andrea on reception was our first contact, she was amazingly friendly as well as professional, made us right at ease from the start. Every time we saw her she said hello and a few kind words. Also Tammy and Jade from housekeeping who dealt with all our requests (extra milk etc) promptly and were also incredibly friendly. Lovely lovely John in the restaurant went the extra mile to find out what items were gluten free that I was unsure of thank you. Surprised that this hotel couldn't provide a gluten free sausage. Finally Felix in the gym/spa was so polite and held the door open for us as we entered and left - everybody made our stay so lovely. The breakfast staff were all friendly and accommodating - could do with having decaff coffee in the coffee machines. The beds were soooo comfortable. Our TV wasn't working, we reported it to reception and an engineer was in the room and sorted within 10 mins! Conveniently located to jump on a bus into Nottingham centre for shopping and eating out - overall an excellent stay!

Front desk staff Andrea was friendly and helpful. Overall Hotel was good value for money and clean. We booked this hotel for certain facilities. Unfortunately hotel’s swimming pool was closed during bank holiday weekend due to a fault ,we were told. restaurant was moderately busy on Sunday night with one girl was taking orders and serving on her own. Our food arrived almost one and half hour later closer to 9.45 pm. There are no “Mains” for vegan travellers in the Menue. Front staff spoke to the chef at around 5pm , confirmed vegan version of Ramen could be made for dinner. When we came down to dine we were told that they ran out of that item? If you are a non vegan you’d love this place . Thank you

Great location at a reasonable price
Great location and comfortable (albeit small) room. Good bus links into the city (about 5 minutes away) The pool was a good size and very clean. Breakfast and Dinner were of good quality and reasonably priced. The hotel decor reflected the lacemaking and bicycle manufacture heritage of the city. Parking at the hotel was expensive but can be much cheaper when booked through Your parking Space App.

Worth a visit
Really nice hotel with a great location. Friendly staff comfy bed. If I was going to stay in Nottingham again this would be my go to hotel. Just had for the night as I had a wedding but would loved to have spent more time. Only downside the shower was great good power on it, every few secs the heat would drop from hot to cold and go hot again. But from this great hotel

Amazing staff
hotel was lovely and all the staff were super helpful. Our only negative was the room was a little small and could have done with a vanity mirror.

Overpriced for a night stay. Bedroom fairly basic and bathroom in need of upgrade. The brightness in the Bar area at night lacks any atmosphere, the bar is good but fails to deliver.
