Goeie ligging, correct eten en bediening. Echter hotel mag dringend eens wat herstellingswerken uitvoeren. De bedden waren ook zeer hard! Matrassen zijn versleten.

We have no complaints about parking, cleanliness and personnel in general. The hotel rooms, lobby and bar areas were spacious with good places to have business meetings. The restaurant food was excellent although the watery orange drink at breakfast should be replaced by real juice. Downsides were:- - The 5th floor Executive rooms were almost identical to cheaper rooms but had just had a half bottle of wine, a can of Pepsi and a bag of crisps put in the room. - There was no bath and the shower head was fixed in the ceiling so the water flow could not be directed. - There was only sufficient 2-persons clothes hanging space for one night’s stay. Apparently the hotel is aimed at short-stay visitors to the nearby business park with single occupancy of double rooms. It is unsuitable for couples staying longer. - The only clothes storage drawers were under the bed. - It was impossible to close the bedroom door quietly. This was more difficult because the outer door handle came off completely in your hand, if it was pulled. - The left hand lift made unacceptable loud creaking and groaning noises .This did encourage contact between hotel guests as they joked about whether we would make it or not. - There was constant traffic noise from the nearby M1, partly due to the window not closing tightly. There was already a folded paper tissue (from a previous guest?} under the catch, to try to tighten the fit. - Our main complaint was the music played in the restaurant at breakfast and dinn

Poor service all round. Lifts were a joke - got stuck in them for 10 mins and didn't even get an apology from the staff. restaurant closed on arrival even though we had an 8pm reservation. no alternative or help offered.

Gym equipment from mid-20th century (dangerously out of repair). No water available in gym or at front desk. No wipes in gym for equipment. Floors dirty, carpets in hallways and room worn. No closet in room for hanging clothing. Dinner was not served at hotel, and there was nowhere in within 20 minutes available for dinner. Room was HOT due to excessive heat in bathroom, required air conditioning in middle of the night to be able to sleep. Overflowing garbage bins and ash trays in front of hotel.

Everything was generally as good as expected. The only downside was breakfast which was poor quality and felt half hearted. We ate an evening meal prior and that was great which made the breakfast offering difficult to understand.

Nice hotel, lovely on first impression and spotlessly clean but our room (a standard double) felt dated and lacked basic things you would expect from even a budget hotel - such as plug sockets by your bed and adequate in room lighting (everything felt very dark!). There were only two plug sockets (a single double socket) for the entire room, which was on the opposite side of the room to the bed, yet there were two phones in the room for room service/reception? Beds were comfy and linen was good. Bar was great, well stocked and open 24 hours! Breakfast was good quality, a lot of choice on the menu for hot options but grossly overpriced at £15.95, even if you only want a continental/piece of toast! Need to have different price levels for continental breakfasts and hot breakfasts. We were in a group of 6 with other family staying at the hotel, sat on the same table, and yet our breakfasts only came out two at a time with approx 10 mins between each pair, which didn’t make sense. Service was okay but not very attentive. We stayed on a quiet weekend in January so for the price we paid for two nights it was fine, but it would not be worth paying any more. The lifts were making some odd noises. Overall, a nice clean hotel and handy being right off the motorway but needs a revamp.

This hotel looks great on first impressions, but staff are not professional. Beds have got budget matresses on that are like sleeping on concrete, same with the pillows. Coffee cups in the room had dried coffee stains all down the outside of them. We had a door in our room that interconnected to the room next door, they had their tv on that load that we couldn’t sleep. Restaurant is massively overpriced for terrible service and awful food. Better service and food at McDonald’s. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Careworn Mour Hotel
The Mour is desperately in need of a refurbish. Leather sofas are torn, our bedroom carpet was threadbare and the bedroom was dreary and paintwork scuffed. In contrast, the staff were polite and friendly to a high degree. They were knowledgeable when asked questions and very helpful. Hence, our neutral assessment. For the money, there is accommodation of a far higher comfort level in the district.
