'Slight negatives first. The property was advertised as pet friendly and with TV/internet. The instructions prior to check in said no pets and no TV. We resolved the first issue but it did cause worry as we were already travelling. There was a modem but the internet signal was weak to the point of being unusable. The only issue with the property was the drainage in one of the bathrooms was poor. Turning on the basin tap and the water returned through the shower outlet. I think it would be helpful...

'Zeer netjes en met groot, helder en diep zwembad. Dicht bij Lagos en standen (wel per auto) en mooie vrije ligging met rij zicht. Enige min is de weg er langs (niet druk) en geen winkeltje op loopafstand.'

'The villa itself is perfect, but there are some small points, that can happen to make it even better. The Villa is close to a outside club and very close to the beach which make it even better. For the small fixes, if you use the A/Cs there is a dripping sound in the master bedroom, which can be quite annoying. There is only one towel provided for one person for one week, this is not to much. As the last point, the swimming pools gets dirty very quick because of all the bugs walking/flying in....

'Alles was heel goed in orde en netjes. De communicatie verliep ook heel vlot. Fijne en rustige ligging. Vloerverwarming werkte ook heel goed. We hebben een hele fijne tijd gehad! Aanrader!!'

'A superb villa with lovely big pool which is not overlooked by any other villas. Pretty garden with fruit trees. Big, clean villa which is very well equipped. Gina is a great host and was very helpful throughout our stay. The welcome pack was much appreciated. The villa is in a great location for sightseeing in the area. Good restaurants a short drive away. We are already talking about returning next year!'

'This is a spacious, comfortable house in a great location. Luz is small enough to be cozy but large enough to be interesting. You can walk to the beach and everything else, and its a good base for exploring the Algarve. The house itself is as advertised - 3 beds and baths, pool, kitchen, laundry - good size and comfortable. But it's missing the small signs of care and thoughtfulness that (for us) make the difference from a good rental and a great rental. No salt, pepper, oil, dishwasher...

'great house, beautiful view, swinmming pool and all extras as written in the prospect. Also complete for a larger family with a 7 month old baby. All facilities within walking distance. Big supermarket in town. Wonderful pastries as a gift from the owner, his mother is still working in the pastrie shop where we went!'

'Great villa but needs some attention on the outside. The balcony railing was broken prior to arrival which was dangerous as a drop the other side and also multiple glass fragments on the floor which we cut out feet on. Microwave broken reported but not replaced through stay. Downstairs bed broken, one of the slats kept falling out. Overall an enjoyable stay.'

'The view and the upper floor are nice and were handed over in a clean state. Street parking is available infront of the property. However on the 5th day of our stay, we got a realy nasty surprise. After it had rained a bit during the night, the sewage started pressing up through the showers and toilets on the ground floor. This meant that a horrendous odor was spreading throughout the house. This was the state of things for the remainder of our stay. After some research on the sewage treatment...

'Het hotel was bijna leeg. Dat kan in januari. Maar het ontbijt was allemaal wat belegen. 's Nachts was er nogal rumoer; de kamer was gehorig naar de gang toe. En het sluitwerk was verschrikkelijk. Slecht te bedienen tot niet werkend. Ik durfde niets in de kamer te laten omdat de deur weigerde op slot te gaan.'

'Dit hotel ligt in de haven van Lagos, op 10 min. lopen van het oude centrum. Leuke ligging, lekker zwembad en ruime kamer. Enige minpunt vond ik dat ze geen kamer beschikbaar stelden om te douchen voor vertrek. Je kunt dan enkel gebruik maken van de spa en moet je €10 voor een douche betalen. '

"Sure, here's the translation: Good hotel with an incredibly beautiful location, although the sea view room is more of a view at the parking lot. Price-quality ratio absolutely no complaints! Very friendly staff, clean rooms, common areas somewhat outdated, but overall had a very pleasant stay!"
