'Picturesque setting and staff were superb.'

'Although we were offered AC after we mentioned it was very hot in the room ,it could have been included as an option from the first night. We didn’t realize how close we were to the highway so opening up the windows at night for fresh or cooler air allowed the noise of the steady stream of traffic - which was surprising for this time of year and little restful sleep. 'What a unique and wonderful experience! The continental breakfast is very ample and delicious. I had the goat cheese and blueberry quiche, and there are 5 outstanding complimentary breakfasts to choose from. Upon arrival, the dining area was decked out from a weekend Alice in Wonderland dinner. A beautiful and creative display. The staff was extremely accommodating. The bed was comfortable; the room a classy Victorian style. The Silver Fountain is an adventure! '

'Don't be mistaken by first impressions as you drive up to this property. I'd like to call it a diamond in the rough. The host/owner, Bob will admit the property needs substantial renovations to the exterior but don't be misled. The property has it's charm and the location cannot be beat for the price. Park your car and forget it. Everything is within easy walking distance. This is our second time for this property and will definitely try to stay again next year. '

'My wife and I had a delightful time at the historic Waldo Emerson Inn. The back half was built in 1753 and the front half in the 1780, yet this historic home had all the conveniences of the modern world: snug windows, heated bathroom floor, and easy to control heatng. 'This hidden gem was perfect for us this weekend. We were the only couple staying, which was a surprise, but it was great because we had the house & indoor pool to ourselves.
