This is my favorite of all the small hotels in Ojai. Best location for walking into town and the rooms are well appointed, clean and spacious. It's a gem!

We loved staying at their property while we had a 2 day retreat in Ojai. It was so walkable and convenient. Wish we had more time to take out the complimentary bikes and eat in the courtyard.

Really nice rooms and property with a gated courtyard with nice trees and seating areas. Not sure about the "resort fee" as there were no amenities - just some bikes and a pool at a sister hotel you would have to drive too (we did not). It is a short walk to the main street, but there are limited things to see and do and dining choices are few and far between - we did enjoy the walk on the recreation trail (Ojai Valley Trail) and found a couple of nice wine tasting spots in town (Ojai Vineyard and Majestic Oak).

Perfect Ojai Retreat
What a nice cozy suite! Great location…walkable to restaurants and shops. We loved the beautiful courtyard outside our room with flowers and fountains.

Great location and service
Incredible service and great room. Doug, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. Room is great and though no pool is listed, there is access to a pool. Great location to restaurants and such.

Bed is not so comfortable, privacy was lacking unless all blinds/curtains closed which then makes it dark. Parking good, but my view from all windows was the parking lot. Nice central courtyard but overall there is better bang for the buck elsewhere

Bret,Thank you for sharing your concerns. Indeed, our suites do face our quaint courtyard, some of which have double French entry doors. Other suites do provide solid wood entry doors for more privacy. Our staff would be happy to assist you in selecting the suite that best meets your preference.I'm sorry you found your other side view displeasing, though our parking lot is small, the cobblestone pavers and surrounding IPE fencing do add a touch of character that transcend your typical parking lot.As for bed comfort, I truly wish would could provide a mattress that satisfied all tastes, but these days there seems to be a comfort profile that differs for every individual. Perhaps we should investigate an adjustable style mattress, though I have yet to see a hotel that offers them as the increased price and maintenance are likely undesirable.

We're very sorry there was a temporary decrease in water temperature when you tried taking a shower. Unfortunately, it was shortly after check-in time, on a weekend, when most people are all taking showers and preparing to go out on the town. We asked you to give the water heaters 20 to 30 minutes to recharge, and if it wasn't hot by then to give us a callback and we'd be happy to send someone to look into the issue. Unfortunately, we never received a follow-up, nor did we hear any other complaints from anyone else on the property during your stay. Thank you for staying with us, and we hope you had an otherwise pleasant time.

We are very sorry to hear about your experience Michael. We take our guest's feedback seriously and work hard to follow up and get any issues resolved. I want you to know we followed up on all your posted concerns and feel like we have resolved most of the issues. We are indeed a small boutique property and not a typical full-service property that you might see with a resort or a hotel and therefore do not provide breakfast. However, we try to provide as much service and communication as possible through our texting service and main office along with stocking each of the suites with snacks and drinks included in your stay. We do hope you'll give us another chance to make things right.

Hotel is well located to downtown area. Due to Covid situation, everything was done by text.....not a problem. No housekeeping at all. We texted for clean towels, they entered the room and left the towels and did not take the dirty towels with them, nor did they take the trash. I understand staying safe but it was a hotel room and they certainly expected full payment. Room was large but in need of renovation. Bedding and bed were very old as was furniture. Lacked sufficient hot water for our showers. We were told there was a pool and hot tub but as it turned out, these were located at a sister property blocks away. Hotel was pricey and fell well below our expectations. Would not recommend.

We are always looking to improve our guests' experience, especially as we are navigating new operations (like operating both of our small, intimate properties out of one office), so this is very helpful and we take this kind of feedback seriously. We are truly sorry that you didn't have an excellent stay! It sounds like a bit of miscommunication and a bit of a difference in taste. We definitely have a classic, old-world aesthetic at the property, and the rooms are updated regularly. We get many compliments on the decor (and the beds themselves), and the bedding is actually fairly new, so we apologize that these were not to your liking. As for the housekeeping and towel issue, we have passed this on to our housekeeping staff. As a certified green property we aren't doing in-room housekeeping during stays under 3 nights, which is why no housekeeping duties were performed when clean towels were delivered. As for the pool and jacuzzi, many of our Su Nido guests do hop in the car and come over to Casa Ojai Inn to take advantage, so again, apologies for what was more than likely a miscommunication about the location of the pool and jacuzzi. We do hope the next time you are in town, you will give us another chance to provide an excellent experience.

Great place for a relaxing getaway
Loved staying here for our honeymoon. Great location, we felt right at home. We loved that there were dishes and a small kitchenette so we could have some meals in the room comfortably. Would definitely recommend!

Nice Find in Ojai
The room exceeded our expectations. Very comfortable, roomy and tastefully decorated. Everything was in excellent condition, it looked like this was just recently updated or at least is well maintained. The bikes on the premises were also a fun way to get around. Great location, close to everything but still quiet. Su Nido will be our first option when we return to Ojai.

Lovely, central, but a few pandemic wrinkles
Su Nido is located just a block from the Ojai Arcade, with plenty of restaurants and shopping, and has a lovely courtyard for taking in the Ojai calm and peacefulness. My suite (Peacock) was comfortable, with a bedroom, living room, and small kitchen in between. Appointments were fine, with a fridge and Keurig coffee machine but no microwave. Pandemic precautions made the pre-check-in more complicated than it could have been, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The Peacock suite would be good for a couple or small family, but is probably a bit tight for any larger group, as the rooms were quite small. Some minor maintenance problems cropped up, but nothing serious, and I was very comfortable during my stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we really appreciate you leaving us a review. There is a microwave in all of the suites- it is tucked in the upper cabinet in the kitchenette. All of our rooms and suites at Su Nido have just one king bed, so are best suited as you say, to a couple, and maybe one or two small children, as we do not have rollaways. We understand the Virtual Check-In process can feel a little cumbersome, so we have tried to streamline the process to simplify it as much as possible. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for the compliment on our staff, we do try to make our guests feel comfortable and welcome! We hope to see you again in the future :)

One problem
The property is great, and the suite was nice. Service was warm and friendly but requiref some phone calls for clarification and to receive some missing items. This was due to their Covid protocol. The big problem is that they have some upstairs rooms and they assigned one to a family with two very young kids, who do what kids do. In my case at 6am there was a continuous loud pounding from the ceiling due to a kid running back and forth. So even though the room was nice, the overall experience was no better than the average motel, and this was for over $400 out the door price. If the upstairs room happened to be all they had which could sleep that number, then it was bad luck. But if they gave the room to that family knowing there were children, and knowing the property has hard floors, then that was dumb.

Amazing!!!!
What can I say, the hotel was not a hotel, but it felt like I was at home. The bed was so comfortable and I did not want to get out of it. Quite, out of the Main Street and peaceful!!! I will defiantly visit Su Nido again!!!
