Hotel was nice. Restaurant was pricey and only open from 4-10. Walked to nearby restaurants in our price range. Shuttle service only runs from 4-6pm on weekdays. None on weekends. If you like posh little towns you can walk about a half mile for stores and restaurants. Was fine for short stay.

Convenient to KIA Center and other attractions. Stopped by at the Front Desk on Wednesday night after our event to get two towels. The young lady I spoke with said she would have Housekeeping bring some right up. Mind you, this was my last night of stay, and I had to get up super early to catch my flight.......we waited up until 1:30 a.m. and no towels were delivered. We had to use dirty towels to shower before catching our flight. Not optimum.

There was a black girl at the front desk when I was checking out by 6pm on Sunday she was very rude, she should not be at a front desk taking care of customers cause she doesn’t know how to talk to people, and even I was nice to her asking her for information about the parking she was being so mean and careless. That was a very bad moment.

The entire facility needs to be overhauled with renovations. The shower faucet was dangling off the wall, the frame surrounding the door handle to the bathroom door was cracked, and there appeared to be mold in the A/C vent. I did like the staff and felt that they were friendly.

The property has a past elegance but didn't feel very modern in terms of preparation. I'm not a fan of valet only parking but that's just personal. Arrived to friendly greeting and received keys. Keys would not activate the elevator so back to desk. Received apologies and was told I'd been given wrong room number. Keys worked on elevator but at room discovered someone else's belongings there. Back to desk, received apologies and original room assignment. Arrived at room to find all furnishings pushed to center of room including bed. Very clean, apparently moved furnishings to vacuum but hadn't put back. Pushed all but dresser (too heavy for me) back into place. Was told I'd been registered for Hilton Honors program at check-in but when attempted to sign on to Wi-Fi the last name and room number were unrecognized. Next morning shower faucet ran only pure hot or pure cold, wouldn't adjust for warmth. Overall not what I'd have expected for a 15 story, downtown hotel with the name Doubletree on it. Just a side note that people who appeared to me to be employees were enjoying weed on the patio when I came back to the main entrance at 1 AM after my event. Since it's still illegal in Florida it probably isn't the best choice for employees even if they were just taking a break.

Expensive to park you also gotta walk a bit to your car in the garage which charges 30 bucks per vehicle per day. Also I was surprised there was no microwave in the room. Also the refrigerator is more like a freezer. I put leftover pizza in there for a night and when I went to take it out it was frozen solid.

The lobby needs overhaul. In my opinion the floors need to change and be updated and the area leading out to the garage all needs to be redone. It looks really bad at this moment. Other than that it was a great day. I enjoyed my room.

It’s shocking how tired and old this Hilton property is? I don’t understand why it looks so rundown? The staff are annoyed at everything, you can’t get in and out of the parking garage without walking to and from a separate walkway, The elevators few like like homeless people live in them and the front desk team are not enthusiastic about being in their job! I would never stay there again and can spend my money at other hotels where they actually are pleased to be in a job and have guests check in and out!
