We had an issue with our room on the first night. The staff at the desk was terrible dealing with it. The following day the day staff was very helpful. Very uncomfortable first night of sleeping. The hotel didn’t compensate enough off our stay. There were ants in our room the first night and it should have been handled properly!!

Hi Mr. Manter, Your reservation was prepaid through Expedia, in order to obtain a refund you need to contact Expedia since they are the ones you paid for your reservation. Expedia will reach out to us and we will approve of the refund, but we are unable to refund you directly. As for the second charge, we do have to authorize a credit card for incidentals, as Expedia only covers room and tax. The authorization is only a hold however and not a true charge, so that will be reversed in 3-5 business days if you used a credit card, but can take up to 7-10 business days if a debit card was provided. If you have any questions please call the hotel directly.

Worst experience at a hotel ever
Horrendous Hockey team took over hotel. I used to be a server across the street and did room service to this hotel so I know this has been going on for over 30yrs. No towels. No room in pool no where to sit at meals. Kids running up and down stairs (our room was under stairs, we were “upgraded from our quieter suite to single room with spa tub which we have at home along with large hot tub so not impressed) also our room was next to ice machine and elevator. We had to unplug phone due to prank calls. We received 20,000 bonus points as compensation but honestly I should’ve gone with financial compensation because I will never stay again. Hotel has no respect for other guests. If there was an option for zero stars I would’ve chosen that. I felt bad for staff. Hotel should refuse to allow booking to groups that refuse to control or supervise their children and respect other guests. I just lost my mother and this was our anniversary escape. I checked out a day early wasting a days cost. I will NEVER waste another penny at a best western again. Should’ve taken the refund I am kicking myself. Why did I take worthless points?

Small town hospitality
The hotel is not new, but appears well kept and clean. Not fancy but nice. Staff is very pleasant and efficient. View of the river was great even in the winter. A very nice place to stay.

Had to pay an unexpected incidental fee when I checked in equal to the rate I paid for the room. The shower didn't have an actual door and was just open to the rest of the bathroom with no real way to keep water within it.

One of the bath towels was dirty, with two black smudges on it. All towels and wash cloths were so rough you could exfoliate skin with it. And one of the bed pillows smelled sweaty. The young woman at the front desk when we checked out couldn’t be bothered. She literally grunted at us.

Nice place.
Nice place. Love the balcony facing the river. Breakfast was as expected - fine with normal foods. Clean and well kept. Only issue was the door lock on the inside was broken off and the balcony door was not locked on arrival. Pillows are a bit soft too. I would say it is a bit overpriced but cheaper places had too many bad reviews.
