The property is being renovated only 1 elevator worked. Electrical socket didn’t work hard to charge phone. Ice machine didn’t work. You had to run the shower 5 min for hot water.

When I booked the stat I was not told that they were under renovation until I checked in. At that point what do you do? The workers started at 9am-6pm. There were only two elevators and one was out of order for to construction. The check in staff were very nice and courteous. WE mostly used the stairs up and down to the fourth floor because of elevator wait time. I’m sure it will look very nice once the new renovations are done but it was pretty run of the mill and plain. I mean it has the Hyatt name attached so you would think it was a little higher quality. The price of the room would make you believe that also.

Overall, the room was very nice. The heating unit in our room made a loud squeaky noise when the heat turned off for about 5 seconds. I told the front desk when I checked out. They had one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever had.

1. Front Desk personnel were pleasant, but due to heavy Indian accent were next to impossible to understand. Not a good first impression. 2. When Verizon service became unavailable, I switched to using the landline phone in the room to conduct business. The front desk couldn't not figure out how to transfer an incoming call to my room. 3. The closet was so shallow that the only way the hangers would fit was at a 45 degree angle. Also, the right side of the closet did not have direct access due to a wall. Horrible design flaw. 4. The room only had a shower (no tub), and was in such a small space that you could not place the floor mat down until the door was closed, and it had to be picked up before you could open the door. Another horrible design flaw. 5. The floor vent HVAC system under the window was less than 1 foot from the bed, making it very awkward to get in and out of bed from that side. Strike three design flaw. 6. Made coffee in the room (only one regular coffee pod available), and the first sip had an overwhelming taste of mold. Immediately dumped the remaining down the sink. Hard to believe that this property is allowed to carry the Hyatt name. Will not be back.

We enjoyed our stay- the property is under construction so there was some dust and such from that but the room was clean and there wasn't any noise that I noticed from the construction. Beds were comfortable, rooms were spacious, staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast was well stocked and good. Location was very quiet, about 20 minutes into KC without traffic. Would definitely stay again with or without construction.

The rooms had sharp things poking out of the carpet and the wall was lifting in one spot in tbe room, desk people were alright breakfast was amazing. Wish rates were cheaper since the hotel is under renovations and couldn’t even tell us that in the description

This hotel is currently under overhaul construction. This should be explained before booking so you have the option to decline. If you intend to rest during the day hours, or have your children rest, it is impossible. The noise level from construction is unacceptable. The parking is also limited due to construction equipment. The staff was friendly. However, the phones do not work to call down to request any assistance from staff or to make housekeeping requests. I was not given a reduced rate due to the construction nor was I informed of the construction to make an informed decision. It was unfortunately a bad experience.

The hotel was in the middle of renovations so there was a lot of unfinished rooms and hallways and portions of the building were covered in plastic. Not a problem but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.
