'This was the first time I have stayed in Oak Hill Inn but it won't be my last. My room was charming and quiet, plenty big enough for two though it was just me this time. The last time I stayed in Julian it was at the Julian Hotel and I felt confined and claustrophobic (I had to leave the room to change my mind). No such issues at the Oak Hill Inn. 'We enjoyed the peacefulness of the quaint boutique Oak Hill Inn close to the heart of Julian. Set in lush greenery on a quiet street on the side of a hill, the inn includes an even quainter pool and DIY "honor system" tavern. The center of town is a mere 5-10 minute uphill walk (or 1-minute drive). My only caution - those who may have walking issues or difficulty negotiating the 15 steep steps to their rooms would be best advised to seek accommodations elsewhere.
