Fun as always.

Country gem
This was our third stay at this lovely farm house. It is rustic with many rooms, a fun bunk bed room that sleeps six kids and a large yard. We loved camp fires, running on the hilly country roads and visiting the Windmill Craft Market. Mary was excellent with contact and having everything ready for us. Highly recommend!

Lovely weekend vacation
This property was perfect for what we had planned for the Labor Day weekend. It was cozy and in the perfect location to enjoy the Fingerlakes. The host was extremely helpful and wonderful to coordinate with. This stay was everything we could have asked for and if i find myself wanting to cone back i won't hesitate to rent this accommodation again.

Deceptively Big
Every year we have our "Guys weekend" and every year we worry about the weather being too wet or too cold to be outside. One of the outstanding features of this cabin is the deceptively large central room. We had plenty of room for the 6 of us to hang out inside all weekend and the weather did not impact our enjoyment at all. A great place to rent for any occasion.

Our second stay at the cabins, the host family is kind, considerate, and attentive to details. We enjoyed the peace, quiet, and comfort of the fully appointed cabin, the lovely porches, and the spacious yard. This will be a regular destination for us.

Lovely!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hoover cabin. It was clean and exactly what we needed as our home base while we explored the finger lakes with our kids. The bunk room was great for our littler ones! Mary was an excellent communicator, though we didn't have any issues during our stay. We highly recommend this cabin!

Better than the photos
We had a wonderful time. The property is great. The photos of the main living room/dining/kitchen combo are deceiving and the central room is quite large and would be great if there is inclement weather. Everything was easy to find and in good working order. I would reccomend this location to small groups or two family get aways.

Relaxing stay in a welcoming home
My friends and I had a great stay. The house was cozy, the porch and outside space was beautiful and relaxing. Hosts were easy to communicate with and kind. We really enjoyed getting fresh bread, eggs and apple butter our first morning.

Really cute cabin in great location
The cabin was really cute and accommodated our family of seven very nicely. It was centrally located in the Finger Lakes region and only 30 minutes from Watkins Glen. We enjoyed our stay immensely and Mary was a gracious host.

Charming Rustic Cabin
From my first glimpse of the Hoover’s cabin, I became enchanted. Ample seating along the front porch set amidst darkly stained wood siding and live potted plants beckons one to sit a spell, breathe deeply and unwind. Towering pines along three sides further enhance the privacy of the cabin and provide habitat for a variety of song birds. The cabin and it’s furnishings are rustic (no internet, television or dishwasher) but very comfortable and extremely clean. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped; the beds were comfortable. The cabin furnace kept us toasty warm and we had plenty of hot water for showering. Lovely flowers enhance the outdoor landscaping. It is obvious the owners put much care and heart into maintaining their property. We enjoyed playing cards & board games and even had a campfire two of the three nights we were there (wood can be purchased and will be delivered by the homeowner). Farm fresh produce and dairy products are also available for purchase at the homeowners farm next door. The property has a nice charcoal grill on the back porch and plenty of outdoor seating. Mary was a joy to deal with; responsive to communication and extremely welcoming.

Very nice location . Loved spending time outside. Plenty of room. On the rustic side. Might want to bring your own linens as the towels are dried on a cloths line and not soft like we are used to. A small thing but just wanted to share if this might be an issue. Host was very accommodating. Loved being part of a simpler way of life.

perfect summer getaway for friends
My friends and I came up for 4th of July weekend. The cabin is big and comfortable for 12 people - the best amenity has to be the large backyard with fire pit and volleyball net. The area is quiet and private. On the inside, the cabin is very rustic, but it just adds to the experience :) We also loved having the 2 showers in the bathroom. Would definitely book again! Wonderful stay in the Finger Lakes
We booked a week stay near Keuka Lake to take a little vacation before returning to work. The cabin was clean and so much fun for our littles (10 months, 2 years and 4 years old). The backyard is huge and picturesque. The owners were so nice and accommodating. Anytime we needed anything they were there. Ask for their homemade products! They made homemade bread and apple butter that was to die for.

Quiet and Spacious "Home Base" for Exploring Wineries
Lovely cabin with large main room combining living room, kitchen, and with a large table in the middle. Check-in was a quick stop at Mary's house next door to pick up the key. There is little to no traffic on the street in front of the cabin, and the back yard gives way to farmland and forest, which made for a very relaxing stay. The cabin is well appointed and had plenty of space for our party of 7. We did not need to use the bunk room, which was good, since the bunks are relatively small are we are all large folks. Close to Keuka and Seneca Lake, we were able to do a wine tasting in the morning and come back to make lunch with a wine we had selected; we did the same for dinner. A few things you may consider, but these did not detract from our stay in any way: there is no wi-fi, the road leading up to the cabin from the lake is quite steep (if you're planning on visiting in the winter), and there were some bees flying around the porch and back deck. I would certainly recommend staying at the Hoovers' cabin if you have a larger party and want to explore the area. It is a great value for a comfortable getaway.

I hope the bees were not too annoying. They are attracted to the flowers in spring. The rest of the year, they are not around. They usually do not bother anyone.
