'My adult son and I try to take a a small-scale road trip together every Spring. This past week, we built so many new memories, in great part due to this wonderful property. It’s super-clean, with character and an historical ambience. We found so much to do in the Galena area, including nearby towns and the Galena River Trail. Coming “home” each evening to this cozy place was a comforting feeling after each very active day. My son, who has a developmental disability due to childhood stroke,...

Only drawback was we had a issue with a toilet and notified the owner who responded promptly, yet the maintenance was not able to enter the property because we were out enjoying ourselves, not leaving our key in the lockbox. A suggestion would be that the maintenance/owner have access to another key besides what is given to their guests…..and if so would have rated all 5 stars.'

'This is the second time we have stayed there. At Christmas we appreciated the beauty of the house. This time we appreciated the wide porches, beautiful view and wonderful gardens. We have a large family and there always seems to be enough room for everyone.'

'Unit 6 as well as the shared areas were wonderful, clean, relaxing, peaceful, with plenty of parking in the back.and plenty of trash containers out back. The trail mix snack packs, organic coffee, green tea, and mini Kurieg coffee machine was perfect. Nice size mini fridge and freezer. Secure and easy access to the room definitely a plus. Its right off Main Street on Spring Street if you want a short walk. Very affordable, clean, and communication with the Host is top notch. I could not have...

'The home is nicely furnished. I like that people are able to leave Seasonings and condiments, etc. for the next guests to use. Made meal prep easier. There’s pots and pans and some storage containers for leftovers. We left a bundle of Gatorade’s, Hopefully the next people will enjoy them. It’s on a busy road. Appreciate using the driveway and bringing in luggage through the back door. They allow pets which we would like to bring our dog. Hopefully soon they will have a fenced area. We didn’t use...

'We really enjoyed this property. It was close to where our activities were for the weekend and was comfortable… we really looked forward to going “home” at the end of each long day out having fun. We will definitely rent this property again if we ever need to stay in the area.'
