Amazing apartment hotel! Safe, clean, and spacious
I had a wonderful experience. Not only was the price good and the location amazing but the accommodations had everything we needed. It was spotless, quiet, perfect for cooking, entertaining (my mum, who I was there to visit), comfortable with a living room and television, and the airco was top notch! Everything we needed, from coffee to soap, to tea, to pots and mixing bowls (and mixing spoons) was provided to us. Did I mention the huge bed?! Lovely space :) The location also felt safe and provided easy access to restaurants, drug stores, Wawa, and a short walk from China Town, the Fashion District, South Street, and more

Zeer verzorgde accomodatie en prima gelegen in het centrum van de stad. Je hoort wel uitgaansgeluiden maar ook hier is aan gedacht met White Noice en oordopjes.

Our stay was mostly good. The kitchen was stocked funny and it took us 4 days to find the cutting board that was stored under the kitchen sink. There also weren’t enough utensils for our family of 5. The beds were comfy and the couch in the living room became another bed. Our only complaint about that is it is the only room without room darkening curtains so it got bright in there very early in the morning. The resupply area is a good idea but lacked in execution. We could never find what we needed when we needed it.

This is a fantastic property. It was absolutely pristine inside. We had a two bedroom plus pull.out couch,and it worked beautifully for us. It's walkable to Broad Street, and Rittenhouse square, shopping. Everybody who worked there was as kind as could be. But really we didn't even need to interact because our codes worked, and we were in and out as much as we needed to be. The codes even worked after we checked out, because they have lockers to store your luggage. That was wonderful because our flight wasnt until later in the night. This was my first stay with Sonder, and now I'm going to look for it instead of hotels for our family of four.

I liked the room I didn't like that I didn't have the right code for my room and had trouble getting in for 3 days and i was threatened out side the building by a young man to be robbed for being in that neighborhood.

The check in process is a ridiculous waist of time that is required before getting your entrance code. A process that is almost useless because there is a person at the front so why not just check in normally. using the code to get in and out is pointless because when people are exiting you just go in. I had to change my code 4 times to get into my room. The locker system worked perfectly, the room was excellent except the twin size sheet on a queen size bed that popped off every night. The location is also excellent.

I am really trying hard to recommend this place but it's hard. very noisy outside. thin windows. You can hear people screaming outside, cars honking in the morning, noise from bars and the very loud AC surprisingly doesn't drown this. apparently the property knows this because next to your bed you will find a small white noise making machine and ear plugs. I might have had one restful night in a week here so that's not good. there is no room cleaning. No breakfast. No gym. no pool. No toiletries outside of a bar of soap, body lotion and soap/conditioner in the shower. The one bedroom unit I stayed in was pretty spacious but odd corners are cut.for eg there's a sofa but there's no cushions on the sofa so it's not comfortable. bed is pretty comfortable but if you can't sleep in it what's the point?

Very convenient location to shopping and restaurants in Philly. I never had to walk more than 10 minutes to anywhere I wanted to go. My unit was in great condition and came with dishes to use. There wasn't any dish soap or sponges that I could find, so keep that in mind. However, there was plenty of shampoo and conditioner unlike many places. The bed in the unit I had was VERY firm and felt like sleeping on a rock, so if you hate firm beds, be aware of this. The comforter and pillows, however, are extremely comfortable. Parking wise, do not load your car outside the Juniper St. entrance when leaving or checking in. There is not enough room to pull your car on the sidewalk due to poles, and you'll have some very angry drivers yelling and honking. It is a very narrow one-way street. There is a parking garage less than 5 minutes away on foot- 1327 Locust St., Philadelphia PA. It might seem uncomfortable walking in the city with luggage, but it's better than blocking a street and angering some already aggressive drivers. As a woman, I carried everything to the hotel and it was fine. The windows have nearly no sound insulation and you can hear every city sound just as clearly as if you were outside. Earplugs are provided for sleeping if it's bothersome, but I'm used to city sounds and ignored it. Though you do hear it over watching TV, talking, listening to music without earbuds, etc.- so keep that in mind if you're easily bothered by continual loud sounds.

While they dont offer parking its philly so parking garages everywhere. Its a ten min walk from the convention center and trader joes. I liked the washer and dryer so i took home no dirty clothes! The mini kitchen really helped save money on food!

I booked this property for an emergency trip down because it was close to the hospitals. The property that we stayed in was pretty nice - it was nice to have the full kitchen so we could save money by not eating out. There was silverware left in the dishwasher and there were a few areas that could have used repair, but overall, it was a very clean, quiet and comfortable unit. It’s very close to lots of restaurants and entertainment. We will be staying here again!

The Way the shower was located sprayed outside and got the whole floor soaking wet, which was a slipping hazard. The rooms were decent, but the area was very noisy.

I liked that you need a code to get in. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The area around the building was a little sketchy. It smelled of garbage and urine.There was construction going on near us that was annoying. The parking was okay but expensive. All in all i would stay there again and would recommend it to others.

My partner and I had a very enjoyable time at The Witherspoon. The place was very clean and it felt like a home away from home! They provide a full kitchen complete with pots, pans, utensils and even include dish soap, dishwasher pods as well as in room laundry with detergent pods. There’s also full size body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. The Roku TV was convenient for when you want to have a lazy day. The surrounding area could get a little noisy but it didn’t bother us. There were also plenty of dining options around the apartment/hotel and most activities were within walking distance, so driving was rare for us. We would definitely stay here again!

It was not a pleasant stay. Toilet was not working right upon check in. We got offered another room, which was much smaller and right in front of 4 elevators. Maintenance showed up the next day, and failed to fix the issue. 2 nights with broken toilet. Huge party going on in the room next door till 2 am Fri to Saturday. Abnormal level of noise from the AC, really loud, as other guests mentioned in their reviews. No follow up from the hotel after we checked out.

The bed was hard as rock, with other bodies imprints. The bedding was stiff like sand paper. The pullout couch mattress was horrible and couldn’t be slept on. The noise from the heat was so loud ear plugs could not keep it out. I had to turn off heat to sleep in my jacket and hat. Frig was too loud as well. Elevator was squeaking in use.

HVAC is incredibly noisy and I couldn't sleep. It would have been an amazing place to stay otherwise, because it's clean and well-furnished, but there's this constant unbearable airflow noise. I asked the lady at the lobby if they could do something, she said technicians would have taken a look, but nothing changed.

Overall good experience. In the apartment description section pictures featured nice views when in reality the apartment was overlooking another building - it was dark and didn’t allow for privacy as the building next door was very close. Additionally, the area is super loud during the weekend, just something to be aware of.

Sonder is a cool idea. It would be nicer if there were more amenities. Biggest down side is: THEY DO NOT HAVE PARKING. We were told there was parking which is why we chose sonder. There were structure close but they cost anywhere from $35-55 a night. Not the worst thing, but not what you want when you are expecting it. Overall I would recommend the place with the right expectations.

I absolutely love this property! It is right in the middle of so many resturants, Rittenhouse Square, Broad Street, simply perfect! Parking is truly 1 minute from the hotel and is reasonably priced. It's the City! simply beware of your surroundings. The best part for me, traveling from California and a 3 hour time difference...SHADES ON THE WINDOWS! The little things really do matter. Not sure I will stay any other place when visiting family.

The Sonder Witherspoon was great. Excellent accommodations and easy contactless communication, requested some extras and got them within the time they were scheduled to arrive. The location was prime for visiting friends who live in the area. This type of lodging may not be for everyone, but I see it as an efficient and affordable blend of short term rental property and conventional hotel.
