'This is an idyllic, quiet, adults only hotel. The rooms are lovely and modern with air conditioning. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is excellent and the 4 course a La carte dinner is outstanding with lots of choice and variety. The location is right on the white Sandy beach with lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would definitely recommend. '

'Nous avions une bonne chambre dans cet hôtel au charme un peu décati avec logements espacés sur une vaste portion de plage : cela donne l’impression que l’hôtel n’est pas plein. Personnel extrêmement agréable et prévenant. Très belle plage de sable blanc se découvrant à marée basse. Seul petit problème : le système écolo de chauffage d’eau ne fournit pas d’eau chaude le matin !'

'I really enjoyed my stay at the Clove Island. The food and drinks were fantastic and the staff were amazing and very friendly. They were readily available to help and answer any questions we had during our stay. When it came to booking transportation to get around Zanzibar, they made the process easy. The property is nice, if you are looking for a cozy, quiet place secluded from the hustle and bustle, stay here. Also steps away from the beach and safe. '

'The staff is great! Very friendly and service minded. They are the best about this place. The food is good but not amazing. Another issue regarding eating, is that there is no restaurant close by. We ended up using a taxi taking us to other places to eat. Expect bout 10 minutes by car to some good restaurants. 'We enjoyed our stay at the Le Mersenne and loved the detail and design of the room. Well appointed. The service was great, location is close to Paje Beach and the Treehouse Restaurant but also far from Stone Town and other popular beaches so plan to either book a driver or rent a car. We booked a scooter thru the hotel and traveled to Paje. DJ played great music at the hotel. We loved the vibe! With that said, a few things to be noted … Limited food options and we grew bored of the pricey...

"My mother and I enjoyed a delightful three-day stay at this hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly and cooperative, always ready to assist. When a water pipe broke, they promptly provided an alternative, offering a can of water for showering. The diverse and delicious menu changed daily for dinner, and the breakfast was equally tasty, served by friendly staff. The quiet ambiance and breathtaking view make it a highly recommended retreat. Our garden villa, complete with a personal plunge pool, was spacious, immaculate, and included a daily supply of fresh water bottles. The rooms were consistently clean, and the staff throughout the hotel were welcoming and accommodating."
