'Our family had a great time at the Cottage on the Shore! We enjoyed the easy access to the beach. Just a two minute walk thru the sand dunes to the beach. The house was clean and communication with the host was good. I would recommend buying groceries in Gulf Shores before heading out to the house. The quick access to the beach was awesome, and the house is further away from the public access points to the beach so it felt like you head the beach to yourself. It has a nice pool, hot tub and tennis courts, although it was a little early in the year to actually get in the swimming pool. We will likely come back to this exact property.'

'Great spot and location for a short fishing trip. Owner was super kind and very communicative. Room was more than enough for my father and I with a nice bed and comfortable enough pull out couch. The only negative was a 35 dollar parking pass but the flip side to that is a very secure facility with 24hr security. Would definitely recommend for 2 adults or even a small family.'

What we didn't expect though was the last week of 24/7 beach dredging and reshaping which closed the beach directly in front of us. Fortunately, it reopened on our last day so we could enjoy a final beach walk....my happy place. A few maintenance issues were addressed promptly by the very helpful staff.
