The staff was very friendly and supportive. They provided guidance and also help with tours. The hotel is pretty well run; it is very clean, quiet, and safe. It has a nice swimming pool and offers good food.

Wonderful place. It's a small (less than 10 room) hotel, with a family feel. The rooms are clean and spacious, and many open out onto the encircling veranda. The grounds are intimate, and while there is no direct beach access, there are nice views of the ocean. Breakfast is included, and did not disappoint- full service with choices. Dinner is also available at very reasonable prices- you can opt in to their daily special, or if that doesn't suit, there are other options available. You'll need to ask about those, however. All meals are al fresco in either the thatched dining cabana or on the veranda. There's a neat self serve bar for beer and soft drinks- for anything else ask at the front desk. Service is marvelous. The staff was very willing to help with taxis and tours, which is nice, because unless you have a rental car it's a bit off the beaten track. I highly recommend!

Old but comfortable hotel with very friendly staff. When I was there they had a cook problem but I was able to have dinner because there wasn't much around.

Doble booking made in our room. We booked for a suite double room and the room was not available. We ask for special breakfast as stated in the webpage and confirmed by email, and during stay the breakfast consist only in bread and cheese!

Staff are fantastic - generous, kind, polite and helpful. Food is great. Property is small, which adds to the personal feel. It’s a little isolated, so you’ll need to be prepared to use buses, taxis, car rental to visit places, but the staff will help you find your way.

The staff were very attentive and polite. I was a single person that had booked for 2 and that seemed to cause them some consternation for some unknown reason. No hot water connected to the hand basin. Safe not secured to the joinery, what's the use? Standard key entry also.

Beautiful view, just as presented in listing ad. The room was spacious and nicely designed, loved the terrace space. If you're driving there be sure to have google maps available, roads off the main motorway are not clearly signed, I arrived in the dark to make it a bit more of a challenge. Once found then no probs.

Very nice and homely feeling place to spend few nights. Everything was really clean and the garden was amazingly nice with all the trees and flowers. Great service with breakfast, and even lunch and and dinner available for reasonable price. Nice and big enough pool, good beds in the rooms. No access from the property to the beach but nice views to it. Local beach was very close but it was quite dirty with lots of plastic bottles and other trash. Easy bus access to Port Luis and many beaches & other nice places (like the botanical garden) to visit in driving distance.

Most satisfied!
Wonderful hospitality. I was suffering from digestive upset (contracted earlier in my trip), and the staff and cooks went out of their way to help get me rested and on the mend. The surrounding area is thoroughly urban, but Villa Anakao was an island of tranquility.

Very nice colonial style boutique hotel
had a great stay here. nice sea view. the location is central for Mauritius, but you should probably get a car to get around the islands to see everything. the hotel is a perfect base for that. would stay again. no, it's not hard to find but exactly there where google map says and there is a sign.

More A Manor House Than Hotel
Quick and friendly check in/out. Room was clean and spacious with all furniture and fixtures made of wood. The provided lighting was not enough for the size of room. Felt as if we were staying in a country manor house rather than a hotel. The included breakfast was limited to bread products and cold cuts, with the only hot food items on offer being bacon and eggs and the items were exactly the same each day. Parking is also limited, although we found a space everytime during our stay. The hotel and grounds are starting to show their age and a major renovation will be required in the coming years. Located a short drive from Port Louis. Hotel backs onto the ocean with a small beach a few minutes walk away. Overall enjoyed our stay.

Reservamos por Expedia una suite para 3 personas con dos habitaciones. Al llegar al alojamiento nos dijeron que habíaa habido un error y que no disponían de habitaciones triples. Nos prepararon una doble para 3 adultos sin ofrecernos la posibilidad de añadir una cama supletoria. Además tuvimos suerte que esa habitación acababa de quedar libre debido a una cancelació, si no nos habríamos quedado en la calle. La chica de recepción muy atenta. El resto de personal estaba más pendiente de hablar entre ellos que de los propios cliente

Belle bâtisse même si elle est un peu vieillissante. Salle de bain tres vieillissante. Rafraîchissement à prévoir. Idéal petit budget. Prévoir une voiture de location pour visiter les alentours ou profiter de la plage, car il n’y a rien aux alentours. Petit déjeuner ok. Parking ok. Dîner proposé tous les jours mais il faut réserver en amont, tarif assez cher et menu unique mais cela peut dépanner. Nous n’avons pas tenté. Bières à dispo mais assez chères également. Piscine à rénover + à nettoyer, transats à changer /rénover. Personnel à l’écoute et plutôt sympathique.
