Friendly staff. Customer service is hard to get in Trinidad, but no complaints here. Good location. Parking is included should you come by car.

Nice enough
I stayed 1 night in Trinidad at the Kapok for business. The hotel is OK. The following can be better; 1. I have to wait for info on WIFI just because. 5 min later I got the information that was readily available. 2. The shower hose does not look clean. 3. For the price I paid USD 164, I expected to get some slippers and better bedding. Not everybody at Kapok is as service minded as you may be accustomed of the US and other tourist destination. There is a mall close by and various official departments and consuls are in walking distance, also the park and the Zoo

Kapok, Port of Spain: Net hotel voor redelijke prijs.
Het Kapok hotel is één van de luxere zakenhotels in Port of Spain. Het ligt op een rustige locatie aan de rand van het centrum op +/- 1/2 uur rijden van het vliegveld. Het personeel is de klok rond aanwezig, maar weet met 'modernere' middelen zoals Wifi en betalen met de creditcard slecht uit de voeten. Wij zijn 3 maal vanaf de kamer telefonisch teruggeroepen nadat de betaling niet correct verwerkt leek te zijn. Het ontbijt is simpel maar smakelijk, de bar goed betaalbaar en de bedden comfortabel.

I like the location of the property. I did not like the room. It is too old, small and bathroom shower drain was clogged and not draining well. Mentioned twice to front desk and saw no change. Room key kept malfunctioning and had to keep asking for a new one. I love the pool and shower area and the grounds. Staff in dining area for breakfast were very nice. I would not stay in room 393 ever or would recommend. Don't like facing the back of the hotel.

Very nice pool and Koi fish pond. Had a great meal nearby at Creole Kitchen. Few minutes walk from Magnificent 7 sights. Take caution when crossing streets…traffic can be a bit risky at times.

The location is great, allowing you to be close to all the action at the Savannah. Every single staff member I encountered was helpful and friendly. Room and amenities were decent and I have no complaints in that regards. The only negative was the poor breakfast options. But again the staff were helpful and at least willing to acquiesce small requests.

Kapok hotel is a lovely hotel without being pretentious. In my opinion it’s the best located hotel in Port of Spain. The rooms are spacious and well appointed and the staff is friendly and courteous. Further, the rates are moderate. The local breakfast served is divine.

Clean, quiet & comfortable room, friendly & helpful staff, who went out of their way to accommodate my requests. Good views on all sides of the building, although facing the Savannah will always be exceptional. Good dining options from top floor restaurant (with fantastic views over Port of Spain), to the cafe on the ground floor. Will stay again & again.

Fine. Handy for the zoo and botanical gardens.
1 a.m. booking and 1.40 a.m. check-in due to a cancelled flight, so it was a big relief to get a room and checked in quickly.
