This place was not a good stay, 1 night was sufficient enough to take on the bad list. This place is under construction and it has an old smell of tobacco. The price is fair although it does not make up for how disorganized this place was.

I like this Ramada, it’s very close to smart & final and some restaurants that you can just walk to the place. Staff are friendly. Complimentary breakfast is ok, they have waffle, cereals, bread and fruits. But, I wish they have boiled eggs and bananas. The only challenges is when you go back late at night, parking is kind of hard because the truck and other stuff that they are using for remodeling the building are occupying about 12 parking spots. I always have to go to the front desk to ask where to park. Other than that, this Ramada is not far from San Diego State University and is about 25 mins away from Little Italy.

Check in was done poorly/inefficiently. The newly renovated room seemed nice but there was sticky residue found on the credenza and tv remote. Gross. The bed design had a thin painted metal covering from under the mattress to the floor. A strange design, to minimize needing to clean under the bed. It made a huge gong like sound every time my foot hit it. It was almost comical. To be fair the bathroom area was really nice.

I didn't like the view outside my window. It faced the parking lot which wasn't bad; but on the far side there were wooden palettes covered with plastic sheets. Apparently, Ramada Inn was making improvements and that's where they stored the wood.

The property is old, run down, and dirty. Paint flecks all over the bathroom floor, dirt in the corners, bug in the sink, scratches on fake hardwood floors, no carpet, table had a scratch. Lamp ac plugs didn’t work. No ceiling lights in bedroom. Step hand rails need painting. The whole place needs to be rehabbed or you are looking at a third world dump. Not even close to American standards.

The property is under construction but they are renting unfinished rooms out.My moms room had unfinished drywall our room had open transitions from bathroom to the bedroom so you could cut their foot if walking in to the bathroom barefoot and not paying attention. Also drywall screws on the floor throughout the stairwells and parking lot. Just a matter of time before someone steps on a screw or gets a flat tire. The staff is nice but someone needs to hold their general contractor to some kind of standards. It was the weekend and no work was being done so no reason for the mess. I would not have expected this from a Ramada. Once again the counter staff was nice but poorly run renovations.

The hotel seemed under construction. The shower water never got hot. The TV did not work properly even after person looked at it. Parking was full probably due to all of the construction material stayed in the parking lot.

This is a very good hotel to stay. It was affordable and there are plenty stores around for convenience. It was quiet and we had no issues. Staff are friendly and breakfast was available 6-9. I recommend it if you’re in the area of Poway

Bathroom needs to update. Staff working at breakfast needs to get everything prepared before ready for customers. On 11/23 morning, no apples are good, waffle maker broke, suggests to have boiled eggs for breakfast.

Cold showers and nobody cares
Night 1, no hot water. Asked staff to please look into it while we were out for the day. Came back and felt hot water so I went to bed with plans to shower before checking out in the morning. Got in the shower the next morning and the water went I ice cold as soon as my hair was full of shampoo. I waited for a few minutes until I realized I was going to have to suck it up and rinse off in that freezing water. When I got out, I crawled under the thin bedding, shivering and called the desk. I told them I was going to expect some sort of discount, which seems reasonable to me. The girl said the manager wasn't there but she would be sure he got my information and would call me the next day. After not hearing from anyone I called the hotel around 7:30pm the next day. After 3 tries to get through I was hung up on 3 times. Like somebody just picked up the phone and hung out up again. My conclusion is that the people running this place have zero concern for their guests. If you choose to stay here, I hope you have a better experience than we did.

The staff were great, very pleasant and accommodating. The breakfast provided was yummy. I made my first waffle, ever. The bed was the most uncomfortable I’ve ever been in, so, sleep was not easy. The guest above me ran his AC all night long and the machine was very loud, so, sleep not easy at all. The Wi-Fi was very spotty and did not work for large parts of the day and night. Glad I only stayed three days.
