Vriendelijkheid van de personeel was top! Maak niet uit waar in het hotel vanaf het moment dat je uit je taxi stapt krijg je een top service. Alles is heel schoon en netjes

We just came back from here and I have to say I was very disappointed! I saw soooo many amazing reviews that’s why we booked it ! The entertainment staff was AMAZING ! The food was blah. I do have to say our say our room had a moldy smell and the ac was not working but they came right away and fixed it ! The staff is very helpful and nice ! They really need to work on the situation with putting towels by the pool at 4 in the morning ! My mother n law got up around 6:30 and put her stuff on chairs and someone moved it. If towels are left for more than 2 hours they should be moved . The beach water was disgusting with seaweed and garbage. We made the best out of it but the would not be returning

I have been to five Iberostar properties across the Caribbean and Latin America. All of them, including this one, are part of a great chain of resorts. Unfortunately, this one seemed to lack compared to the others. It’s not really their fault. The beach area is not great. It is small and not very welcoming in appearance. The interior amenities are fine, just basic compared to other Iberostar. I’m still a big Iberostar fan. I just wouldn’t be quick to come back to this particular area.

They need to invest in maintaining this property which is 20 years old. My friend had to have her room changed twice because the toilet was not working. In my own room water was leaking. Staff was friendly. If you’re on a budget it’s an ok place to stay but no mas.

10/10 experience! I will definitely be back. I loved everything especially the food!!!! Such great food. The service from the staff was also great. Very accommodating and helpful. On my last day my original car service cancelled on me last minute and I was able to book a taxi through the hotel right away no issues. He was there at the designated time and I got to the airport right on time. The pools were great. The bartenders at the swim up bar and all of the other ones were great. I took my 6 year old son and he had a BLAST he’s still talking about it 4 weeks later lol Truly a Great experience overall. If you’re looking for somewhere to stay in puerto plata highly recommend Iberostar!!

When you reserve a room with 2 queen beds it does not mean you will get that room . According to the front desk the reservation only keeps a room.Also the pool view room was actually a view of the back of a casino loading dock next door Good was ok but nothing spectacular. Close to the airport, great staff, rooms not facing pool area are very quiet, buffet was excellent, never tried speciality restaurants, no need! beach was kept clean, water was swimmable but not clear due to wave action. Lots of lawn chairs by the beach. people put a towel on chairs at 7 am by the pool so be early if u want one.

So the good first: what a beautiful resort! It is right on the beach with amazing trees and shade, very beautiful courtyard with huge swimming pool, an abundance of delicious food and more beverages than you can drink! Everything was so clean, spotless! The ground was beautifully maintained. Very nice and helpful staff (except our bellhop was insanely rude, all others were fantastic). We really liked a few of the staff and had a good time laughing and talking with them. The Japanese restaurant was amazing! The staff and cooks were so full of energy and had so much fun with everyone we laughed so much and the food was incredible!!! …now the bad: our room smelled so bad the entire trip, like mold/mildew, like the A/C wasn’t clean, no matter how much I aired out our room the smell persisted. It made my time in the room not so pleasant. Also, we had a room on the outer side of the resort, so from our balcony the view was so trashy and loud because we were facing the neighboring resort kitchen or something, and the balcony air smelled like sewage a few of the days (not sure what that was about). Normally I love sitting on a balcony and reading, but this was not pleasant because of the constant noises (literally 24 hours a day it was so loud we couldn’t even let the sliding door open!) So, all in all it was a nice resort, I just wish our room didn’t stink so bad! I can live with the crappy view, but I hated being in my room and had difficulty sleeping it smelled that bad!

Will be the first and the last for me. Due to flight cancellations (out of my control) they would not allow me to change my reservation. At 300 a night thats not good. I had to literally give them a free night. If I canceled it will cost a night. Upon arrival I was given the wrong room. When corrected, the replacement room was the worst I have ever had. Coffee machine didnt work. Television has green pixelated lines through it. Dual shower head both leak so you must turn on an angle to avoid wetting your hair. Overall it was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Never again. I hope the money you took from me keeps your hotel afloat.

Iberostar Costa Dorada was a very pleasant place to stay! Food was really good, entertainment was excellent! The performances at night were very impressive! This is not a 5 star hotel and they have a lot of nerve to advertise as such. Upon arriving to my room I walked into a bathroom that was cleaned very poorly leaks in the bathroom and black mold all around. I also had a few bugs. I was told I would be moved to a “renovated room” but never was. There are some pros to this hotel. The staff are very nice and attentive and accommodated my needs such as food allergies. And really tried to clean my room well. The bottom line is that they need major renovation. I felt sick the whole time due to the mold in the bathroom.we stayed for 9 days and with 4 kids using the shower the bathroom got in worse conditions. Do yourself a favor and stay at a hotel that won’t get you sick!
