'My partner and I needed a place to camp for the total eclipse and came across Ryan's listing. Wasn't sure what to expect but was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. 'The owner made it clear in advance that there was basically no facilities. That was no problem for me. I was well prepared and had an enormous field to myself. The owner provided a huge amount of firewood and I enjoyed a nice campfire at night. In the morning, the field was covered in white frosting and wild(?) turkeys was walking through the field. For me, it was a great way to explore the area and avoided most of the eclypse traffic and it was well worth the money!'

'We came looking for a camping spot for the solar eclipse. Our site was tucked away at the end of a huge field on a small peninsula with a running river nearby. The camping was amazing, the ground was nice and soft for our tents and we could build the campfire up with an endless supply of firewood. The stars were on full display as there wasnt much light pollution in this area. Taking a splash in the fast and cool river was a highlight. 'An inviting clean and lovely property. Perfect for a single person, couple, or in my case traveling with a grown son where we each had our own bed to sleep on. All the comforts of home with beautiful sunsets every night (weather permitting). The host very responsive to any inquiry. We rented off season so very quiet and the year rounders very friendly. Would rent again for sure!'

'We were there for a graduation weekend from SUNY Oswego. House was great, included everything you need for an enjoyable stay, even dry firewood. The view of lake is great, stunning sunsets. Fit our party of 8 very comfortably. Highly recommend.'

'We enjoyed our stay very much, the cabin is cosy but adequate for four, even six people. The location and grounds make this a relaxing getaway, with grill and fire pit. There is a very beautiful river nearby which seems a popular fishing destination and the family and I walked down to see it. We were here, not for fishing, but to see the Great American Eclipse, and this place suited our small family just fine. Meals can be cooked if needed and the comfort and temperature was great.'
