Inderdaad , leuk hotel aan het strand. Met zeer vriendelijk personeel met uitzondering van de receptioniste zo onvriendelijk en zo ongeïnteresseerd, direct ontslaan!

Location is all that's good about this hotel
Ik verwacht bij veel sterren en een hoge prijs per nacht een goed hotel. Alles was een teleurstelling in dit hotel. Geen airco terwijl het enorm warm is. De kamer leek wel een sauna. Het raam kon slechts 10 cm open. We hebben de voordeur open gezet en tegen middernacht begon de temperatuur acceptabel te worden. De bedden, het meubilair en de algemene inrichting van de kamer is sober en outdated. De ijskast is niet gevuld, niet eens met een flesje water. Geen minibar of winkeltje in het hotel. Geen shampoo in de badkamer en de zeep dispenser was kapot. Kortom, voor een zeer hoge prijs per nacht hadden we een heel teleurstellende ervaring. Het personeel is jong en onervaren. Het restaurant average, niks bijzonders.

Alleen het uitzicht vanuit de kamer is top
Dit is echt een hotel dat je kiest voor de locatie en het uitzicht vanuit de kamer, want dat was echt geweldig! De service in het restaurant was matig, het personeel was niet attent en was zeker niet bezig met de gasten. Toen we bij het ontbijt 10min te laat kwamen en zo'n beetje alles er nog stond maar ze net waren begonnen met opruimen werd ons ook gezegd dat we geen ontbijt meer konden krijgen. Gelukkig was het alternatief, restaurant bij Pancake rocks, veel gezelliger dus uiteindelijk een betere keus.

Our room number 208 was tucked back behind the other units so was quite dark and cold as the sun went down before the light came around to our unit. We had to sleep with a heater on 21 degrees as without it on, our room was very cold. We were unable to see the sunset, because of the positioning of our room and that was one of the reasons for coming to the West Coast. We stayed 2 nights and after the first night they took away our towels and we had to request another set. They did bring them to us within 30 mins of our request. The restaurant food was good and the service was great. We enjoyed our stay but would certainly request that we aren't in that room again.

My partner and I had a wonderful stay. The Staff were helpful and friendly Little disappointed the laundry next to our room wasnt working and the rail on our balcony needed a clean. Otherwise great rooms, great food, great service We will stay again soon

Great hotel, especially for exploring Pancake rocks and coast. However, be aware there's not much in the way dining options in the area. And the hotel restaurant is not great when it comes to vegetarian options.

Lovely hotel with stunning sea view’s. Our room had balcony with stunning views over the beach enabling us to watch our first sunset in the southern hemisphere. The restaurant was nice although the menus was a little limited and prices a little on the high side. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend the accommodation and would stay there again.

Hotel is right in the beach. Rooms don’t have air conditioning. Limited menu items at the restaurant. Left the sliding room door open at night and several flies of some kind came in and bit my wife at night. Okay property if just staying for one night.

Our Hotel is situated in a Rainforest setting, which makes it difficult for the team to look after all the Cobwebs around the property. I assure you that we constantly keep an eye out for it. I apologise that we were not at our best around your room. Mould on curtains is definitely NOT as per our standards, and our housekeeping team is working on it straight away.Regarding the room prices you found to be expensive, I would like to get your attention to the remote location we strive to provide hospitality. Our resources are expensive compared to a city, and we strive to provide better or similar hospitality you receive around New Zealand. Also note that you wished to travel in a high season where the prices are marked as per the market requirements. For cheaper prices, I would recommend travelling in the winter months.You are right about the Revamp. Everything was beautiful accept the first night a couple were arguing pretty loudly about their accomodation in the evening & upstairs the person was so loud when walking to the balcony in & out til pretty late

Beautiful setting on the beach. Convenient, clean. Somewhat drab and dated rooms for a 4-star property. Extremely friendly and great service and kind people. What was a big downer was the food. We were there on Christmas and they had a special dinner. While they were nice enough to accommodate us without reservations- the service was backed up, which was somewhat understandable. However the food was downright terrible. The soup was bland, the main dish (spinach gnudi) was stringy and tasteless, the steamed vegetables were straight out of a frozen bag and the dessert (flaky pastry) seemed like custard wrapped up in lavash. Sad dinner on Xmas - thankfully the duty manager Mr. Bhandari was nice and accepted our input and didn’t charge us for the meal which we barely ate. Coffee was good and that’s about it.

Check-in was quite an ordeal. MISUK at the reception was absolutely useless. First she could not find our Expedia booking. 5 min later, after serving other clients, she foud it but said she had no proof it was prepaid, although I had a written confirmation. She said she needed to call Expedia. We asked for the key and came back 4hrs later. Thank God another person was in duty, the very efficient Oscar, who quickly found our reservation. Thank you Oscar for your professionalism ! The rest was good. We had a nice room in the renovated part. But be aware that not all rooms are renovated. Beautiful spot though and best option inthe area.

We chose this location because it was the only one that we found in our pre-travel planning that was so close to the beach. The check-in was easy, room modest and comfortable, with an ocean view. Worth the extra to hear the sounds of the ocean while reading and working in the room! Only 700m from Pancake Rocks and Blow Holes, and makes for a convenient, easy to get to stop to go up towards Westport and only 40m from Greymouth. Highly recommend.
